However, after shopping there and trying to get some help on sprinkler parts - I quickly learned that the staff is extremely rude. Despite it being a small store, they do their best to avoid helping customers. It took me ten minutes to flag someone down to help me. When asking questions - i was talked down to. Being this was my first sprinkler repair - I had some pretty simple questions regarding size and the employee gave me answers with an eye roll. The prices at this store are consistently normally higher than local big box/Home Depot/Lowes stores. I've shopped at other ace stores across the nation and haven't experienced this - normally they are pretty decent. Sadly, this is the only Ace Hardware store where I have experienced poor customer service, lack of care, and extremely high prices. I normally like to help out a local hardware store, however I will not be going back. I would rather patronize Amazon, or even the local Big box stores after this experience. There's a reason why Sears, Kmart, and other stores have gone out of business. Sadly - i feel that this ACE store will be no different. They're following the same trend as the others. They charged me for a new blade, when the guy told me it had been sharpened. You don't sharpen new blades. They said I hit a bunch of rocks. My whole family combed the lawn for rocks before we mowed to make sure that wouldn't happen. Maybe hit two small ones the whole time. A bit shady, but sometimes good.
