Music was a tad loud as we were close to jukebox, but they did respect our request to lower it so we could enjoy the good company. We all ordered the craft cocktails that we all enjoyed...again and again! Appetizers were fun and pleasing. Everything from brussel sprouts to tuna tartar. Loved them all! Party ordered everything from the salmon to the tequila lime shrimp, to the signature ribeye...fantastic! Service was great! Kat took great care of us and was very charming. Bartender knew how to make a mean cocktail. She made me appreciate gin, which I didn't think could happen! The owners looked after us and made us feel like family. We will be back!

At first impression, the menu offered a wide variety of selections that I was pretty excited about. Unfortunately, the salad that I wanted was unavailable that evening. My server had to come back to the table and tell me that they had run out of the necessary ingredients. That's always frustrating. I wasn't super hungry, so I opted for an appetizer for my meal. The Cran-Jack meatballs were tasty and the accompanying toast offered a nice contrast. While I am normally a lover of onion rings, the ones on my plate left something to be desired. They tasted bitter and I only ate one. The service was incredibly slow. I sat in my seat for well over 10 minutes playing on my phone waiting for the waitress to come check on me so I could close out my tab. I finally resorted to flagging down a food runner from the kitchen. I'd like to go back and have an actual meal, perhaps with my husband or a good friend, despite a less than stellar first impression.

Moonlight Liquors: Where the Drinks Are Cheap, and the Chaos Is Free…read more If you're looking for a dive bar with all the charm of a back-alley brawl and the customer service of an overworked prison warden, look no further than Moonlight Liquors. Tucked away in a dimly lit corner of town, this place offers an experience that's less "laid-back watering hole" and more "lawless frontier saloon." The night started off simple enough--cheap drinks, a questionable jukebox selection, and a clientele that looked like they'd been living off whiskey and spite for the better part of a decade. But it didn't take long before things took a turn. Enter two local scholars, fueled by whatever toxic mix was sloshing in their cups, who decided they had a bone to pick with us. What started as typical drunk posturing escalated quickly into outright hostility, featuring the kind of language that makes you question both their intelligence and their ability to exist in polite society. And here's where the true magic of Moonlight Liquors really shines--rather than stepping in to de-escalate the situation, the bartenders, who were clearly best pals with the local goons, decided we were the problem. Never mind that we were simply trying to enjoy our drinks in peace. Never mind that we were the ones being harassed. Nope, the moment their friends started throwing out threats, the staff flipped the script and turned their misplaced rage toward us. What followed was a masterclass in unhinged customer service. The bartenders, possibly channeling their inner banshees, unleashed a verbal assault that could peel paint off the walls. Screaming, pointing, full-blown psychotic breakdown mode--all aimed at us for the apparent crime of existing. Then, as if we hadn't already gotten the message that we weren't welcome in their little fever dream of a bar, we were unceremoniously kicked out into the night, while their pet troublemakers undoubtedly celebrated their victory with another round of whatever rotgut they were sipping. So, if you enjoy bars where the staff hates you, the regulars are looking for a fight, and the entire establishment feels like a failed social experiment--Moonlight Liquors is your spot. Otherwise, save yourself the headache and drink literally anywhere else. Rating: 0/5 stars - Would rather drink tap water in a gas station bathroom.

They've also changed their menu quite a few times since inception. First off it's a beautiful restaurant with a nice large parking lot and you'll be seated by a hostess on either the dining room side or the large bar/dining area on the other half of the restaurant. There's many large comfortable booths to sit in unless you want a table which there's plenty of too. Also high top tables for 4/6/8 available on the bar side or you can just sit at the very large bar that's three sided with 60 seats. The bar side is full of TVs. And generally has music videos as well as sports on. After getting seated by your hostess, expect you will get a great experience from your server as they take pride in training their staff very well here and I've never had a bad experience with a server in probably 20/25 visits here. The menu is a little all over the place now there are some interesting and tasty appetizers. The cheese logs and the fried green tomatoes seem to be most people's favorite appetizers. The chicken wings are pretty good though there are limited flavors available. They do an amazing happy hour menu with great appetizer deals as well as good drink deals if you have the opportunity to stop in during this time of day. I think where they shine is with their burgers. I've had some very delicious burgers there. I've also had good Italian type food with their rigatoni , manicotti and their Stromboli's. Their pizza used to be really excellent. And now it's a little hit and miss depending on which type you get. They have their own woodfired pizza Grill, which has the potential to make amazing crust. However, they tend to get ratios of cheese and meats a little off sometimes. The bison chili and the duck gumbo are both pretty good. It's not traditional Cajun gumbo but it's still a pretty delicious soup. I've had a few bad soups here, including the beer cheese and some of the other cheese soups, which were not completely cooked down and were gritty with flour base still noticeable. The fried fish is also a stand out dish that they do. And a lot of people really like their steaks and steak salad. Overall, this is a great place to bring your family or a large group of friends or even a elegant birthday party. You know you'll get taken really good care of and other than it's more on the expensive side you know exactly what you're gonna get every time highly recommended and if you're getting a cocktail, I recommend the huckleberry Mojito. Recommended.
