This is a truly hidden gem, partly because they are only open one morning of one day a week…read more(Saturday), so they aren't widely well known. However, their dedicated customer base means that they sell out of everything basically by lunch time, and the really popular items within just an hour or two. Their bagels are fantastic, and i love how many different and varied flavours they offer. I'm a sucker for a good savoury bagel, and they have so many great options: Asiago cheese, cheddar and jalapeño, old bay, "low country," the list goes on! They also have savoury scones which are fantastic. Their sweet offerings, both in bagels and pastries, shouldn't be missed either. The service is on par with the excellent food, and you can really tell that they love their job and their customers. There's always a smile behind the counter, even at the crazy busiest time, and the owners are often outside greeting people and getting to know their customers. The store gets the job done, but it's not as cozy as you might expect or want for the best bakery in Aiken. If they could make it a warmer feel with big plush armchairs I'm not sure I'd ever leave.

I never knew it.. because I don't think i've ever been down this street...!! 'we' see each other's nice/nasty facial tones.. The cooks were on the grill line cranking out the hot sandwiches soo fast & really effortlessly... they had served about 10 customers or so & only two came back w sandwich errors.. Our order... We had a hot & cold... so the Steak, Egg & Cheese on a Garlic Bagel... soo good with one issue.. the garlic on top was burnt.. and the bitterness was throwing off the taste a little... I personally would have liked to see the bagel on the flat top w a lil butter on it & the cheese was about non existent... We also had an Asiago Bagel with bacon cream cheese... bagel was made perfectly & the cream cheese combo was soo good!! One small small issue... the bagel station where the sandwich was made had some sort of green chives or onions - there were non on the sandwich... but it was in the wrapping.. The lady making the bagels.. you can tell it's a passion.. not just a job.. to be in such small quarters & crank out delicious looking bagels all morning! Hats off to her!! The owner... "Mr Mayor" dude was sooo nice & welcoming to everyone!! Great humbled presence, pitched in helping wherever he was needed.. The 17 minute drive is well worth.. even with the burnt garlic!

Well maybe they don't say messy, but by the napkin "gauge", my California Steamin was a bit messy. My wife went with the Pirate. Did it work? With the "sammys" we had, yes! Tasty, not toasty. He brought me an everything bagel with egg, cheese, and sausage, and it was absolutely ridiculous in the best way.
