I have had many times where a cab has stopped in the middle of the traffic flow or in an emergency area of a business. the drivers will ignore and notification to them about the situation. I had to get a ride to an early morning appointment at 6:00 am. I called Yellow Cab the day before, and they gave me an exact pickup time and then called to confirm the pickup and the estimated charges. I loved that they also called again in the morning to confirm that the driver was on his way. He let me know when he got to my mailbox, and then came down my driveway. He was on time, polite, and his car was beautifully clean and fresh smelling. The whole experience was so pleasant and easy. I had tried to use Lyft and Uber, but neither of them could book ahead of time. Yellow Cab solved my problem, and got me there on time. read more

I called a cab from the laquinta to the civic center. Very fast service. Loved using the app and knowing the cost of my ride.got a text message when my cab arrived. Very nice driver. Caught another cab from this company after the concert. Cabs were sparce. Called several times and I think they had the app turned off.met another couple who said we could share the cab they called. I thanked them and told them ok. We waited about 20 minutes. Their cab came we got in. Driver agreed to take us both. Very nice driver. My new friends were dropped off at their hotel. And we continued to the laquinta. No problems. Uber seemed to be going faster or getting there faster than the cabs. But I know how busy concerts can be before and after the show. When I first starting using Yellow Cab, I thought it was pretty good for short runs and competitive rates. I never used their app.... until the last time and it was the worst! If I could give a minus star I would. The last time I drove with them, I used their app and didn't ask for a guaranteed fare. They ended up charging me about 4 times for a duplicate ride, and several others that I did not go on. When I called my bank to cancel the illegal tranactions (actually Yellow Cab was stealing from me) --Yellow Cab cancelled my account. This is great for business. Get rid of customers and keep bad drivers....??? Then there was the time the driver added a $3 tip because he thought he deserved it?? When I first started using Yellow Cab, it was fine; unfortunately, I have also noticed that the cabs smell very bad, either from the driver or the cab not being clean. Doesn't anyone inspect the cars or drivers? The smell was really bad and I could not breath. I have left several messages for their director of customer relations - Scarlett - and have never heard from her again. What's up with that? I called yesterday to reserve a cab for 5 am this morning. At 455 am I called and the operator was rude and clueless, not that she cared to begin with. I was to wait "a few minutes," which turned out to be over an hour, 605 am!!!! Of course I drove myself to the airport at 505 am and made it on time. Rude. Terrible customer service. We just hailed a taxi from Ft. Lauderdale airport. It was the worst experience ever! The wheel bearings were bad on the cab, the suspension was shot, braked were grinding horribly. The vehicle swerved so much that I got car sick. We called yellow cab and they could care less about our experience. I would highly recommend another cab company! read more

Customer service is horrible! I don't know how they can say they are dispatching trips when patrons wait for an hour (or two) for a ride, then hears from the drivers that that call was not on their screen until recently, when they picked it up. Info given to dispatch is not entered properly or relayed to drivers correctly. For instance if a trip is for work, church, or doctor's appt. (which would indicate a legit, or important trip for the patron) or if the rider used a wheelchair, walker, or assisance animal, so the driver with the correct type of vehicle could pick up the trip and the driver wouldn't have surprises/ complications once reaching the patron. (I've experienced some, seen some, and heard some of this from other patrons) Some dispatch/CS operators are rude, unprofessional, and incompetent, and in a day and age when so many people are looking for a job, they don'tseem to take theirs very seriously. -One even laughed on the phone when I was upset about being over an hour late getting picked up. Unprofessional. Poor CS. Def rude. Talking to the manager didn't seem to help. She seemed to make excuses for their behavior rather look into it and poss offer additional training/corrective action to improve the customer experience for the sake of the company. -Another time, the call disconnected (accidentally, I'm guessing) while an agent fumbled through trying to schedule my trip. She had my phone number, but did not call back to complete the booking. We were almost finished. I was at work, and had to wait until I had another free moment to try again, and go through the entire process. Incompetent. Poor CS. Poss rude. Fortunately, the next agent was very competent, professional, AND polite and we were done in a snap. She was the exception to my experiences with dispatch/CS. She should train the others if she isn't already! The drivers are ok if you can get one of them to pick up the trip. Most of them are pleasant, professional and adhere to the CDC recommendations for current precautions. A few go above and beyond. I keep being told I'd get a call back about an incident I reported either with a driver or customer service. It hasn't happened. It feels like as long as they're raking in the dollars, they could care less about the customer's experience and ways to improve it. My first choice is a local cab company with a local dispatch when I go somewhere and need a taxi sevice. Yellow Cab is unreliable, and has lost my confidence. the drivers I have made relationships with r awesome!! As far as every other part of this company it's trash!!! Over hour wait times, rude customer service, no communication between drivers and the ppl directing putting calls in. I can walk to places in tallahassee faster than this dump of a company can give me a ride. And I use this service every day find a driver and get there number otherwise you will be late call. Make sure to call three hours ahead and you will probably still be late. I might be able to call a cab company in Jacksonville that will get me faster than yellow cab. Again make personal connections the drivers mostly r great ppl the people answering the phones r horrible ppl. The only reason fir the one star is because you cant give them no stars although thats really what they rate. I just spent 45 minutes of my time trying to get a cab. Three phone calls and 45 min later still no cab. The dispatchers tell you cab will be there in 5 to 15 min.i dont kniw what planet thar happens on but not on this one. Drivers cant find their way and are rude and surly most of the time.And tell them yiu want to use their credit machine! Then they really have attitude. I had one driver tell me the machine wasnt workung si i told him he wouldnt be getting paid since i had no cash on me. Miraculously the machine came back to life! Awful experience. Just took a ride back from the Ft. Lauderdale boat show to our hotel. The driver went well out of the way to get us there. When we asked him why he was going in the wrong direction his response was "I know what I'm doing". The ride to the show from the same hotel was $17, his ride was $47 (which he rounded up from what was showing on the meter). We immediately called Yellow Cab to complain and were hung up on. Most of those times thins went well whether I was going to the airport or home from the grocery store when I had a friend drop me off. The past six months have been really horrid! Waiting forever for the call to be answered and then trying to explain where I was located at. The cabs have not shown up and one that did apologized because the address had been entered wrong on their new computer/dispatch service. No more! City Taxi is my new service. read more

DO NOT use them. Terrible service! The cab driver was rude and horrible. Customer service is fraudulent and DOES NOT protect the customers. BEWARE!!!! The "NOLE CAB" service (for FSU Students) that they claim to offer is a SCAM. Let me tell you an incident with Cab# 27, license plate H53-OLQ. The drivers name, as I could make from the unintelligible talks "Mac" They have a zone map on their website. So, students with a valid FSU ID can ride within the zone from a "Restaurant, Club, Bar, Theater or any Commercial establishment to their home" and they charge you $5 (Five dollars). Only one student has to show their FSU ID card. I am taking it right from their company rules. They transport up to 4 (four) students and up to two stops per ride. The service is offered from 10 PM at night to 4 AM in the morning. So, we (two people) called the cab from a Theater (which ironically is mentioned in their rules. In the phone call with Yellow cab, it was SPECIFICALLY and repeatedly mentioned that we wanted "Nole Cab" and the woman answering the phone said "ok let me check if we can send a Nole cab in your zone" after 1 min of probably asking some supervisor she replied" Yes, we can send a nole cab to your address to pick you up". After around 10 mins waiting, the cab arrived. Because we had made certain by repeatedly mentioning we wanted the "Nole cab" as students, little did we suspect when the driver left the meter on! He drove on a rush, cutting corners and we were worried that he might crash into oncoming traffic. But the distance was short and we decided not to make a big deal of it. When we reached home, the cab driver demanded the price on the meter!!! We were surprised and thought it was a misunderstanding. We tried to explain to him that we already spoke to their company personnel but he kept uttering profanities. And when we said we spoke to a woman in your company, he said "She lied to you". So, we called their company once again, a woman named "Laquisha" answered the phone (and probably the same woman who agreed to send a Nole cab". I asked to speak to her supervisor and a woman named "Denise" answered and she said we cannot call a Nole cab unless we are going from a bar!!! Where they already AGREED to send us the Nole cab over the telephone and their rules specify students can be picked up from Theaters!! I asked to speak to a manager and she said I cannot speak to him until Monday morning!! It was Friday night then.. The cab driver kept threatening that he will keep the meter running and we have to pay more and also threatened to call the police. So we asked him, "Ok please call the police, we need to speak to them too". So the police came. The officer listened to our situation and saw the rule page and agreed we (the passengers) were on the proper side, and asking for more money was wrong. Then he spoke to their supervisor "George" who also said we should pay only $5. Then the driver took the phone and started yelling at the person "You not taking my side in this George" etc. etc. and then the person spoke to the Officer again and said "They have to pay whatever the driver asks". We were astounded!!! The officer replied,"George, a second ago you said they were supposed to pay $5. You are changing your words." But he kept insisting we have to pay "whatever" the driver is asking for. Then the officer said to us that he cannot do anything as it is a "civil" suite, he can only interfere if there was a crime committed. He also mentioned all we can do is pay the driver and later file a dispute against the company. We ended up paying four-five times more the fare we originally agreed upon with the Company. The customer service was absolutely bullshit.......... they DO NOT care about the Goodwill of the company or try to prevent harassment of the customers. We shall never use their service again and advice you not to, if you don't want to be ripped off and harassed. read more

I called well in advance and asked for a vehicle large enough for 4 persons, I was assured that their "Sedans" could handle 4 persons comfortably. I was expecting a Crown Victoria or Town Car. The driver arrived in something less than full size. Three of my group well into their 70's had to squish into the back, and the 4th, a 6ft tall man of 70+ crammed himself into the front passenger seat that had limited movement and the floor was full nearly to the seat top with paperwork and other taxi type items. Once in the cab the driver turned up the radio quite loud, then expected me to shout my intentions over it. Not a good experience. I didn't call them for the return trip. They will tell you what you want to hear to get you in the cab. read more

A friend ordered a cab and was told 20 minutes. She decided to walk home, so we were to take the cab instead, but it never showed. So, we called our own cab, and were told 30 minutes. We called after 30 minutes and were told it would arrive "shortly." About 45 minutes later, we got a call from the driver saying he was ready for us. However by that point we started to walk home and were another 15 minutes walk from home. We said he could pick us up from where we were and take us the rest of the way, but we weren't paying more than $3 for the trip. He said he would come and help us out, and he did call back but we missed the call and by that point we were basically home already so there was no point. I appreciate the driver's willingness to come pick us up, but it was too little too late (thats why they get 2 stars instead of one). I walked 3 miles in heels/barefoot because of this company's screwup. How hard is it to be accurate about the time and to actually SHOW UP? This happened with 2 cabs in the same night, mine and my friend's! Tallahassee is so tiny, there's no excuse for more than a 30 minute wait for a cab. Food delivery takes less time than this. I'm calling a different company next time. At the same time we called the first cab, a different friend called a different company, and was picked up within 20 minutes. read more
