If I could, I would give this company -5 stars. These are some duplicitous bastards. You call and ask how long a cab will be and instead of saying an hour, they'll lie and tell you "Ten, fifteen minutes." You call back thirty minutes later, they say twenty minutes. You call back a third time after that time span and they say an hour.
With me, this went on for a week. It was during the summer and it was over 95 degrees and I was outside waiting for a ride. I called the company and they gave me their typical run-around, so fed up, I left the site I was at via bus, leaving their driver hanging. I figured the dispatcher was dishonest, I had no more time to waste, and that the driver would complain to the dispatcher about how his lack of honesty was costing the company fares and the driver tips.
Instead of the company admitting they were wrong and changing their time estimate policy, they cut off service to me. The dispatcher would see my number and claim no cabs were available in my area, which I knew was a lie, especially around the first of the month. This went on for a week, and since the other local cab companies are even more unreliable and I am disabled (so catching a bus is problematic), I began calling the drivers direct, and they would come on time.
One of the few times I was picked up, the driver asked if he could stop for fifteen minutes so he could go to his mosque and pray! The way he was driving after I declined his request, I should've been the one on my knees in prayer!
The drivers told me they were always available, but that dispatch was angry with me, so they would send no more cabs to my house. I told the driver, "All I ask is that if it takes more than an hour for service, just say so." But the company is so afraid of losing a potential fair, they dangle their carrot and leave you sweating. They'll pick you up an hour late, and still think you will remain a loyal customer.
What a cheat! It's better to get in good with a couple of drivers and call them direct. Either that or buy a horse.
Again , the other cab companies are only slightly better, including United and Metro who will charge you an out of town rate even though they are inside city limits, or AA "minimum fare" taxi, who wanted to charge me $20 for a $5 fare. read more
