Just wanted to mention I had the worst cab ride from the hospital to my home yesterday with Antioch Best Cab , stinky car, dirty seats, dirty floor, dirty sealing, driving fast and swerving. And taking phone calls on the ears while driving, no wonder I prefer Uber or lyft, it was paid otherwise no way, I will never call them !!!!

I called these cretins only after I was told by Yellow Cab that they had no drivers in the area and wouldn't for 2 hours. I told AA that I was in need of a round trip ride from my house to a local store that via Yellow Cab or one of the other local services usually costs me #15 round trip, including the tip. Their cab arrives fifteen minutes late, then has the guts, gall and the gumption to want to charge me $30 for the same trip. I told him, "No, I'll go to another store." This store is about 1/2 the distance of the other store and I usually pay $8 round trip for that. He wanted $20! Because I was in dire need of a ride, I couldn't very well cancel out, but I would've if it came down to that. He began to cry poor mouth: "I had to come from Bay Point (5 miles away) on a Friday from the BART station, so I am missing out on money." If that was the case, why didn't he keep his goony a-- there? We finally "settled" on $25 to the original site, and that was after I told him I needed to get there to cash a check--and he wasn't about to let me out of the cab without giving him something. The kicker is, he never turned on the meter, otherwise I would have had proof positive he was getting over like a fat rat in a cheese factory. I said all that to point out this: I wouldn't ride with these shady bastards again at gun point. Beware if those who charge "flat fees" in lieu of turning on the meter.

I tried to get an Uber, but they didn't have any cars at all in the area..... so we found AA Taxi Cab and made a call. The driver from AA Cab showed up exactly when he said he'd be there, and got us home in great time. He was courteous and pleasant, and it was a great ride. My compliments on good service. No, it wasn't the cheapest ride -- but it was worth the fare. If we're in that area and ever need a cab again, we know who to call. And they do accept credit cards. They are always on time and help with the luggage. On our return they communicate well with us to coordinate pickup location and make sure we don't have to wait too long. Pick up at the airport in SFO is near the taxi line, thus that's a huge win over Uber/Lyft. Highly recommend them for a slightly pricier alternative to Uber/Lyft but with a significantly better and more reliable service than these apps.

The man asked for my address and told me he knew where that was. The next morning no one was at my house at 7, 7:10. . . I called to ask where they were and the man said he called me a couple of times. I didn't have any record of that on my phone and I had been holding my phone the whole time waiting. He said he was at the Safeway and to tell him how to get to my house. Finally he showed up at 7:30. He showed up in an unmarked car that had no meter in it. He had already quoted me $30 for a ride from Hillcrest to Bay Point BART. He had no credit card machine either. We got to BART and I asked if the fare was discounted because he was late and I had missed the BART train. He said no. I asked if he took a credit card. He said no, he didn't have a machine. I told him I wasn't tipping him because he didn't arrive on time and he created stress for me catching my flight. He was very unapologetic and rude.

Unfortunately, I had to cancel as my child seat was also still locked in my car. I just want to say a big thank you to Desoto and Roman for trying to help me out when I needed them. Would not recommend for a young family or anybody with special needs. As for us, I called and asked if they have baby seats. The dispatcher immediately said yes and at no additional cost, then asked the baby's age. I answered and mentioned it needs to be a rear facing seat. He said no problem at all it will be done. The driver arrives, punctually. We were running late and apologized, wrapping up last minute details and locking up the house. He seemed understandably annoyed but waited patiently. We're late to the airport at this point and can't afford another minute. We jump in and find a loose car seat. Ok. Manageable. We start installing it, while the driver sat there looking more annoyed that we had to install it. The base was missing. It was a completely useless, dilapidated car seat. I asked him where the base was, he looked at me through his rear view mirror and said "I don't know." plainly and cut his eyes back to the front windshield as if this was our problem and not his. We had to choose between missing our flight or taking the damn cab ride embracing baby, praying to god we don't get in a wreck. We should have gotten out but we didn't. Thankfully we made it okay but this was a grievous mistake on their end and the owner said he was 'sorry for the confusion' as if he mentioned free gummy bears and only had mints. No, man. It was a lot more serious than an innocent mixup. The driver was cordial at the end and helped with our bags. The taxi van was old and as soon as the air came on, old sour smells came wafting about as I sat miserably listening to the saxophone music grating on my every nerve. The owner gave his word that they accommodated babies and it wasn't true. Period. Will never use them again.

Bob's a real gentleman who helps you get to where you need/want to be. He is really down to earth and easy to talk to which you don't find too often in Taxi drivers. He is a great conversationalist. I really feel at ease talking to him. Sometimes I feel like Bob's really a understanding neighborhood bartender you can easily chat with that happens to drive a Taxi. He is that friendly and easy to chat with. I've even learned stuff from him that I should have known given my age. For example, I've learn how to do a S.O.S signal. It is 3 flashing lights and then 3 steady lights. How we came to this point, well, again, as I said, Bob's a great conversationalist. I joked that this might save my life one day. If I ever have to use this Bob and it saves my life, well, there's going be a big tip for you when you get to heaven! God Bless Bob!
