I could go on & on about why this company should not be in business anymore. The owners are a-holes & refuse to take responsibility or even a portion of the blame if there's a problem. They will blame the customer or throw their driver under the bus rather than accept that they may have added to the problem. I have always used the airport shuttle when visiting Missoula. This time they were all booked up so I called the taxi. He was early, which was great. The taxi was very comfortable and clean. I sat up front with him and we visited. I wish I would have gotten his name. He is 35, has four kids and his wife passed away a month ago. Such a nice young man. Yesterday I took a yellow cab cab number 222 the driver was very very rude when I went to get in the cab the seat belt did not go around me so I had to ride the entire time from approximately 24 miles from Missoula on the highway in the rain without a working seat belt which I am going to get a hold of weights and measurements today about because the cab was being paid by partnership health in Missoula cab driver just made me sign on the x did not even have my mount wrote in so he probably wrote way more than what's it he demanded on the return trips that I wear a mask which I guess he had that right too but he was just straight rude on the way there and the way back the cab driver kept like dozing off when you would look in the mirror at his eyes he looked like he was stoned or on drugs or just had been up for days and days and days horrible service read more

I've used Yellow Cab before and never had a problem. Guess this is a bad day, but... I had some car trouble and knew I would have to call a taxi in order to get to work on time. When I called, I tried to ask if they could come at a particular time, which I have done before. I was immediately told "We don't DO that," as if I'd asked them to change a dirty diaper. When I stated that, yes, they did, they started blathering about how they don't do it only 30 minutes in advance. The man on the phone kept repeating himself, and even sounded as if he was confused by this sudden rule. I offered to call closer to my desired departure time, but was told it was not necessary. Then I was told the cab might come earlier than I'd asked! Again, what is the problem here, exactly? Aren't they a taxi service? Don't people usually call taxis in emergencies and exceptional situations? And if half an hour isn't enough warning, why the hell would they be able to pick me up earlier? He asked for my address. I told him the name of my apartment complex to start, because my address is confusing, and he snapped, "WHAT IS YOUR ADDRESS." Fine, don't let me help you. Rude service from the dispatcher; too bad the drivers are usually nice. If I had known my car wasn't working earlier, I would have taken my bike to work! Every hear the saying "You can't be ugly and an asshole, too. You can be one or the other but you cannot be both." Well this cab company is BOTH. Should have read the Yelp reviews before calling. WOW. They definitely do NOT give a shit about YOU!!! I found every previous horrible review to be exactly spot on. Pure shit service on every level. Absolutely the most MORONIC service of any taxi cab company that I've ever experienced. The dispatcher was rude and estimated 30 minutes for a pick up. Wtf, 30 minutes?! I can walk faster than that. The driver showed up and was also very rude, he wanted to charge my card up front for a ride: $19 to go 4.9 miles. Yeah, not gonna happen. I want to preface this review by saying that I have only ever had great experiences with the yellow cab drivers in Missoula, as well as the female dispatcher. The drivers are great and really friendly. The owner, however, is responsible for the worst customer service I have received since moving to Missoula. Last night I called at 12:08am (midnight) to get picked up at the Airport and taken to my home. He told me it would be a 20 minute wait. A few minutes later I saw a cab pull up outside and my fiancé and I navigated the crowd to see if it was ours. The driver asked if anyone called for a cab and before we could answer, a family of four said that they did. Since this cab arrived much earlier than our projected pickup- we figured we would be next. At around 12:28 another cab did arrive, but it picked up a solo man that also waiting for a cab across the pull up area. We waited ten more minutes and then I called to see if we had had our car taken by another passenger, or if it was just running behind. I called until 1am without the dispatcher ever answering until we finally called Green Taxi, who were able to pick us up in ten minutes. I finally got a hold of the dispatcher to tell them we didn't need the car anymore, and honestly to tell them our troubles because I was very tired and frustrated that we'd been waiting outside of the airport for an hour and wanted them to know. The man who answered didn't let me get more than two sentences in before telling me that it was our fault we weren't picked up because we missed the cab and kept interrupting me when I tried to explain that we had been out there- I asked if I could talk to someone who would let me finish a sentence and he said that he was the owner, that I was lying about being outside when the cabdriver came around, that he's sick of "people like you", that I was costing him money if I don't need a ride anymore because "this is a car service!" and then hung up on me. Missoula Green Taxi has cheaper fares and nicer customer service. They'll be getting my business from now on. read more

If I could give this taxi service negative stars, I would. I called for a taxi and the dispatcher told me that the cab would arrive between 15 and 90 minutes. I asked if the driver would call me when he arrived and she said "we don't do that. It is your responsibility to wait outside for the cab. If you aren't outside, the driver will take someone else". This is Montana. Nobody should have to wait outside for that long in late October. Im not sure about the temp last night but it's currently 30 degrees. I said "well, this is why Uber will drive you out of business when it comes to Missoula. She said "You will never get a cab from this company- EVER". My sister then called for a cab. The dispatcher immediately asked if someone from my sister's party had called earlier requesting a cab from Stockman's. She said no, we are at the Top Hat. The didn't believe my sister and said "you called and threatened me". I never threatened her, I told her that Uber was going to drive her out of business. And it will. Worst cab company ever. I have been trying to call and get a taxi for a Veteran - I have attempted all 3 numbers listed on their website- every one of them I was placed on hold, option 2 (leave message doesn't work- not one person answers the phone and every time being on hold after 5 minutes disconnects- What a huge disservice to Missoula- if you can't do the job right- get out of the way and let others do it properly - take your service offline and stop wasting peoples time- just disgusted and I feel bad for any person who would need a taxi but can't get through! read more

We were in Missoula for a wedding. We were going to need a pick up approx 4:30 AM on Monday, October 9, 2017. I had waited late into Sunday night to make the request. I had read the scathing reviews of this company. Other companies were booked already. Reluctantly, I called. Spoiler alert, every single complaint other reviews had were the exact opposite of ours. The fellow who answered was very nice over the phone. Our requested window was spoken for so he offered up an earlier one. We accepted. He clearly informed us of the 15 minute window. He asked we be ready at beginning of window. Thanked us for our business and said goodnight. Next AM, very early, we were ready. 2 minutes into the window our taxi arrived. Very polite driver collected us and dropped us off. Reasonable fee. On time and all happy. Not sure what happened inside that company but it is all very, very good! I'd trust them. read more

Called Yellow Cab today for a ride from the airport back to our home. Was told there would be a 15 to 20 minute wait which turned into more than 30 minutes and then found out that our taxi ride actually turned into a shuttle service and they expected to get three more people plus luggage into our small minivan. Hmmm have never called and requested "taxi service" before and have it turn into a shuttle service. Got charged 3 times for the same trip, they are being extremely resistant to refund us back, says we need to send them two months of bank statements so they can make sure of the charges. Our driver then demanded where we were headed through a cracked window, and only unlocked the door after he confirmed our ride...Can't wait until there are more options in Missoula for a decent ride home. Absolute worst taxi service I've ever experienced. The taxi driver struggled to figure out what to charge me, and he messed up three times charging me three seperate fees. I signed two refund receipts, but yellow did not reimburse me. One month later I called to ask why they hadn't reimbursed me since they charged me three times for one trip. The employee who answered the phone, Gina, was extremely rude and hung up on me twice when I requested to have a breakdown of the charges sent to me. She also refused to give me the owners telephone number so I could talk to him about his service representation. We flew into Missoula and arrived at 1:00 Saturday morning. We called another taxi company who told us it would be 45 minutes - which was not acceptable - so we called Yellow Taxi. To our luck, Sean was sitting outside! He was polite, opened doors and helped with all of our heavy luggage. He even sat in our driveway until we got into our home safely. One of the worst services I have ever encountered. The cab took over 45 minutes to come get me at the airport and the charges are ridiculous. Last year when I took this cab service I was going to the same spot at the University of Montana as two other people and they charged each of use 18.50 instead of splitting it up. More than half of the drivers act like they've been snorting lines of coke before they pick you up and ramble on about things that don't even make sense half the time. I was waiting for the yellow cab with another person who called the green taxi service about 25 minutes after I called yellow cab and they both came at the same time. The woman who answers the phone has a real terrible attitude. Unless you want to wait for an hour at the airport and get ripped off do not call yellow cab, call Green taxi. read more

Do yourself a favor and just don't use their service. Called once, the lady rushed me, put me on hold, then said to call back later. I went with Green Taxi instead! My boyfriend called the next day to see if they could take us to the airport since the other taxi service was booked for hours. The person who answered the phone was SO rude. My Bf asked him to repeat what he had said. Instead of politely saying what he previously said. He rudely replied "do you even know what a plane is?" We ended up having to use Yellow cab since other services were booked. The driver asked if we wanted to tip and being on a budget we couldn't do it. FYI they charge a 2 dollar processing fee for using a card on top of a pricey cab fare. After we told the guy we couldn't tip he didn't say a word the entire ride. Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had with a company and it was due to the driver of car #43. I had called for two cabs to take my buddies bachelor party home. The first guy showed up and I told him the situation had changed and one can would be needing to take me to a different spot of town. He was understanding but told me to let the other driver know. Driver #43 is what I'm going to call him, showed up I tried to tell him 5 separate times that things had changed, he pushed me back and said I'm here for a pick up of a bachelor party, not you. Even after telling him multiple times he refused to listen. He then approached the other cab and was blabbing about picking people up, my friend didn't know who he was and asked him 3 times that if he's not with the party then he's not getting in the cab. Driver #43 then cursing at my buddy, and finally had enough, since I am the one who paid for it all. I told him to leave and that I'm the one who called and was going to be paying. Worst cab service I've ever dealt with. Called for a cab (one of two cab companies in this city). They told us the wait would be 10-15 mins. Had our phones in our hand the entire time waiting for a phone call and didn't receive anything. Walked out front and didn't see a cab. Call the cab company about the cab we requested and they claimed they came in the restaurant and yelled for us.... Absolutely inappropriate. The restaurant we were at is huge. Also was told they called us but there were zero missed calls on the phone we placed the order with. After calling the company we received a nasty response and was told they came here twice and called for us and came and yelled and that if they came back to pick us up they would charge us double! ARE YOU KIDDING ME????? charge double because they think yelling into a two story restaurant is the way to find a passenger. We were going to pay for THEIR service..... Had the restaurant call for the cab for us as most bar/restaurants can't do for patrons if needed and they still refused to get us and wanted to continue to charge us double. I'm not sure how this taxi company is successful. Out of two available options and they're mad at us because we didn't hear getting yelled at in a restaurant? What if a customer was intoxicated or a visitor out of town and absolutely needed a ride and this was the only option? Charging double when in the end as a cab driver it is your job to pick people up and for people to pay for their service as long as the customer service is there.... Get some customer service skills. We would have gladly stood outside and waited a second time around and paid the normal price but double charging is outrageous. read more

Unfortunately there isn't a zero star option, so Yellow Cab is getting a generous one star review. Do NOT use Yellow Cab if you are expecting a reliable, honest ride home! I arrived home last night and realized (after getting my friend's text) that the driver charged me full price for my ride AFTER my friend had already covered that fee in cash! The driver was completely dishonest, must've pocketed the cash my friend (who got out at a previous stop) gave him, and ran my card for the amount of our entire ride. We both called their number immediately to resolve the issue, and the operator took my name and number and said they'd be in contact, only after they get the sketchy cab driver's side of the story to see whether the issue will be resolved. It's now past business hours the next day and, lo and behold, no call back or answers to anything. I feel completely taken advantage of, especially after being so friendly and giving the driver an awesome tip! $18.75 gone, never to be seen again, all in the name of a shady business. read more

Received an email receipt from this company for a taxi ride with the last four digits of a credit card that I have never had. They are in Montana and I am in California. Obviously that ride couldn't have happened. It's possible the email is spam or a phishing attempt but trying to do the right thing I called them to let them know. My number is automatically blocked when I dial out and this company does not accept blocked calls. This sounds fishy to me. What business does that? If you are worried about going out on a call for a bogus fare, you get the callers number and you call them back before you go to pick up the fare. Anyway, if the email is spam then the issue is over. If it isn't then they will learn a lesson the hard way. read more

The absolute WORST "service" I've ever experienced. Be prepared to be treated as if you providing them with your business is a huge inconvenience to them. The operators are extremely rude, the wait is typically 30 mins to an hour, you can't make an appointment for a ride at a specific time, the drivers are rude, the pretend they don't take credit/debit, force you to stop for cash (therefore costing you another $5 in atm fees), they won't use the interstate (causing rides to be 10-20 mins longer in some situations), sometimes they pick other people up and act as a shuttle (again adding to the length of ride), and have a complete monopoly in Missoula. I would argue that their incompetence and overall bad business model has contributed to more people driving drunk due to lack of options. Thankfully we will be getting Uber soon, an actual car service that understands that it is, in fact, a service. In the meantime go with Green Taxi. Wish I could give it no stars. read more

I have been frustrated with this company for many years now, but lately it has gotten out of control. The woman who works dispatch is so heinous! She is rude, short, and has hung up on me and friends many many times when we call to ask simple questions like, 'can you please check on the status of our cab?' I feel like sometimes she gets pleasure out of telling people long wait times that will mess with their plans. I honestly dread having to use yellow cab, but unfortunately it is the only option sometimes.
