    Wide selection of pastries
    Kuo L.

This is a cozy coffee shop that lives up to its name - lots of yellow highlights in the store, in a brightening way. It's pleasant. Good selection of standard espresso drinks as well as the store's own creations. I appreciate that they have real food, not just pastries. I ordered a cafe de olla latte. They have decaf and non-dairy milk options. I also got an avocado toast. Knocked off one star because: 1) I waited nearly 20 minutes for my order. There were only 2 people ahead of me, with 2 more people coming in after. I saw at least one guy getting his drink before I got my order. 2) After I had been waiting for a while, the barista / staff person told me they were out of avocados. That was disappointing and cut out many options, so I ended up replacing my original order with a PB&J toast. However, the staff person didn't even offer to refund the difference in the price of the avocado vs PB&J toast. The difference was just $1, so, whatever right? But I did already tip and now I was being inconvenienced, yet paying more to not get what I originally wanted. Alls I'm saying is, the offer to refund the difference would have been the proper thing to do. I probably wouldn't even have taken the dollar anyway, but I should have been given the option. Maybe it was just an off morning. Maybe someone called off, but 1 worker during morning rush is not great. The shop has a good atmosphere and the barista was quiet but friendly. If you're in a rush to get to work like I was, maybe don't come here or order ahead. Overall, I'd probably give them another try. My latte was fine, a bit over sweet for my taste. The PB&J was yummy, beautiful (see pic), and a generous portion. Parking can be challenging on a busy street (Santa Monica Ave.)

First time trying this place and we believe its a good choice. Wifey got the Panini sandwich and I got the lox bagel. Both were amazingly good. Will definitely go back for more breakfast adventures!!!

Yellow Button Café is a small coffee and tea shop in LA. They offer breakfast and brunch as well as hot/cold drinks. Its interior design was modest with limited seats albeit spacious to walk around. Furthermore, they have free wifi which was good for remote work professional or students. Prices seem fair and reasonable for the area. Atmosphere was relaxing. Service was mildly slow even if it's not busy. I had a Hibiscus Lemonade (S). It was ordinary but suffice to say it's okay. I would try their coffee next time. Overall, it's an okay coffee shop.

I came to the Yellow Button Cafe for a good coffee and that's exactly what I got. Ordered the Horchata Latte and their Breakfast Panini, both were great! If your looking for some top quality pastries this is also the place to go, they get there pasties every morning from Home Boy industry (another great company). The service is also something to bring attention to as they were very quick with the food and had the most patience for my indecisive self lol. Definitely a spot to check out if you're by East Hollywood or just cruising by Santa Monica Blvd. 5/5 easy.

CUTE AND COZY AT THE YELLOW BUTTON Located in the East Hollywood area where there are no cute coffee shops around unless you walk a mile and end up in Silverlake or Hollywood, this place is perfectly situated and perfectly convenient for the people in that neighborhood. You walk in and what immediately greets you is the delicious pastries beautifully displayed. Having been here many times, the owners and baristas are incredibly nice and helpful. They're coffee is superb and their food offerings are vast. From their signature churro croissant to their coffee cakes, special pumpkin spice cupcakes for the season, carrot cake, bagels, and home made waffles and berries plate. But there's even more that I have yet to try. If you're looking for a place to do some homework, WFH, draw, or just read your latest book, this is the place to be. If you're looking for a place to bring friends to catch up on the latest gossip, this also is a great place to hang out. Check out the Yellow Button Cafe if you're in the East Hollywood area.

Love this clean and cozy cafe. From the moment you walk in you're greeted with a friendly smile. I've been back multiple times because I can't get enough of their lattes and tuna sandwiches.

It was really interesting that one of the Americanos was made with Ecuador Los 4 Mundos beans, and the other was made with Colombia El Diviso. When a staff member brought over my hot Vanilla Latte, I asked to make sure it was decaf. He took it back just to double-check for me, and then confirmed that it was indeed decaf. The coffee here is all delicious, and the staff are incredibly friendly, which I really liked. However, the chairs were quite uncomfortable to sit in, and the Vanilla Latte was still pretty sweet even though I ordered it "less sweet." Still, the coffee tastes so good and the staff are so incredibly kind, so it's a really great coffee shop. P.S. A funny thing: They had dog treats in a jar. I immediately thought of my boss's absolutely super, incredibly cute dogs, so I asked for an empty cup and packed some treats to bring to the office for them today. But when I finished my coffee and was heading out, I totally forgot and accidentally threw the cup of treats away along with the empty coffee cups. OMG. (But seriously, all dogs and cats always absolutely love me. Hahaha. When I get to work, my boss's dogs come over wagging their tails and greeting me so excitedly--they are just so, so adorable. And as for cats, there's a stray that I've been feeding every single morning on my way to work for over 4-5 years now. She currently lives at the Buddhist temple I attend. Every day when I go, she follows me around everywhere. She absolutely loves it when I scratch her back with a brush, and when I'm done and try to leave, she taps my foot to tell me to scratch more! It's just so totally cute and lovable. It's a completely white cat, and so incredibly pretty.)
