Very busy office, should call for an appointment. Accepts many major insurance carriers but if you do not have insurance, try and inquire how much per visit with cash. I actually recommended my buddy from Rochester to Dr. Yeh and she did not have any insurance. She had some crazy cough that would not go away for months. I suggested that she sees Dr. Yeh and pay cash for just one visit (it was not even expensive). She went to see him and the cough went away in a matter of days.
My experiences are rather unique. I was seeing another doc for many moons and one time I was having stomach pains that was unbearable. My primary doc at that time said it was just regular stomach pains and to just wait it out. But the pain did not go away and I wanted to go see my primary doc again only to find out the doc wasn't in! So i had a backup doc and it was Dr. Yeh and when i went to see him, he diagnosed me and was able to tell right away that it was not just a regular stomach problem and that it was instead, somewhat severe. He gave me some medication and advised me to not eat heavy foods but more like soups and to drink lots of water. The rest was HISTORY! Because of that visit, I immediately changed my primary doc to Dr. Yeh, so "YEH" to that! Further, from that time on, I had other complications that he was able to tell right away what it was. AND - I like Dr. Yeh because he is never afraid of me challenging him (because you know how some docs are too pompous in their so-called medical status and that no patients are ever 'smart' enough but those are other reviews for another time.) Sometimes I google things in advance and present stuff to him to see what he thinks (ok, I'm a bit nutty in that area haha! but it's my health we are talking here!) In addition, he puts everything in layman terms, yes! There were many success stories that I have had with Dr. Yeh. He is an attending doc in other hospitals and he is constantly attending medical conferences. The good side is that he is constantly building and furthering his medical background but the down side is that he may not always be in the office. I can live with that because his office is still packed with patients whenever he is in. All I do is make an appointment beforehand, if not, another day is fine.
I have had many of my own medical issues that I have gone to see him for. If there were anything that was rather complicated, he would discuss things with me first before he would refer me to another specialist. Now, I have encountered docs who just write up a referral for me right away because 1) they do not want to continue to deal with the matter at hand 2) time is precious so they do not want to talk to you anymore nor answer your questions and 3) referring is always easier than diagnosing a current patient . So for a doc to spend time with his patients, it goes a looooooooong way. Further, Dr. Yeh also is not the type to make you come back either (insurance $). He always stresses the importance of ethics and moral uprightness... and the reason why I know about this is because one time I researched on a medication that I wanted to see if he can prescribe to me. It fit my needs in terms of my condition and it is a pharmaceutical company's dream come true for any doc to write up a lot of prescriptions... BUT Dr. Yeh said NO WAY due to the side effects and all that. It may have been to my dismay that he wanted to do the right thing but the bigger picture was that he made a decision that was far bigger than $ in his pocket, Um.. HELLO? Need I say more? I have hung out with docs (not in a professional setting) so I have heard the worst of the worst scumbags of this field with MANY horror stories. (thank goodness i wasn't their patient, haha!) So for me to even have this type of positive experience with Dr Yeh is really a huge honor.
So I am writing this review to acknowledge the superior knowledge along with the moral fiber and strength of his character. I am a tough cookie/customer/patient when it comes to these things and I am so impressed by Dr. Yeh's practice and his genuine looking out for his patients. read more
