If someone I know wanted to book this place, what I would want them to factually know is this:…read more We made a specific request ahead of time for a rock and roll-style Happy Birthday song and asked if the performer could lean into a glam/rock look. We were told they would do their best to accommodate that request, and they did not. The performer arrived approximately 20 minutes late, and I had to call to find out where he was. No attempt on their part was made to let us know he'd be late. When he arrived, he appeared disheveled and not prepared for the performance. He told us that he "had to learn the songs on the way over." As he began to sing the first song, he struggled with the beat and the words. He did not know the actual lyrics and improvised poorly. The songs he attempted were not what we requested. One was AC/DC, which my son does not like, and another song (Sweet Child of Mine) was also not requested. The rock and roll Happy Birthday song we specifically asked for was performed last and without the guitar. Their website prompts you to, "choose 1 or 2 songs" and we chose the one happy birthday rock and roll song. After the performance, he was looking around for his guitar strap even though it was attached to his guitar, which added to the overall impression that he was disoriented. I contacted the company by phone to address these concerns. The person I spoke with said he would send a text to the owner and included me in the message, stating, "Thank you, we'll keep you updated." They did not follow up. I had to reach out again, and at that point they declined to help, stating, "I watched the video and he did a good job delivering our standard singing telegram. Your son loved it." It was also explained that the performer's appearance and level of presentation depend on the individual performer. The promotional photos on the website show a performer who is styled and fully in character, but that was not consistent with what we experienced. For context, my son is polite and would not show disappointment in a situation like this. He did express appreciation, saying "it's the thought that counts," and made the best of it as to not make me feel any worse than I already did. He was also surprised that I would have chosen AC/DC knowing he does not like that band. Overall, the service did not match what is advertised or what we were told would be accommodated. Their customer service was disappointing. They could not see my side at all. I paid 200$ and gave a 25$ tip (and had an extra 20$ cash in my pocket I was ready to give the performer expecting that the website's depiction is what you get). I would have preferred to leave a positive review. Instead, I was left feeling that the experience did not meet expectations and that my concerns were not taken seriously.

Let me tell you what this company did for me tonight...My daughters 25th birthday was on 6/8 and spur of the moment her best friend and BF came by for dinner. The idea came to me at 8PM to try my luck to book a singing telegram for tonight while her friends were here. I didn't think I had a chance but they came through for me big time and at 9:30PM my doorbell rang! What an amazing company this is!! Patrick was the entertainer! He sang 3 songs and gave my daughter a balloon and her favorite chocolates. He's the nicest guy and sang beautifully! I can't thank you enough Rockstar! IF you're OK with this policy, then you will probably like them. IF like me, you think this is not customer friendly, then be aware and you may want to consider one of the many alternatives. I was a repeat customer for them with winterizations, spring start up, etc. Because of their policy, they lost my business. Edited in response to owner's comments as she is leaving out critical information. Donna R says she listened to the call but she is leaving out that she also heard me comment about the fee and express dissatisfaction with it. She also heard me say that the leak was in the same place where last year they replaced a valve component. I expressed on the call that I thought it would be a warranty repair. THAT is the only reason I agreed to have them come out. As it turns out it was not related to the valve and thus I was responsible for the repair. Which was fair and have no problem paying. And regardless of whether or not I was told up front, it is not a customer friendly policy. One that I would not have accepted if not for the possibility of warranty coverage. And one that i will not accept moving forward. And no, Donna R., I'm not calling the office to discuss. I don't need to hear you explain the policy again. It is what it is. Charge your customers all you want. If they don't care, good for you. I care.

Of course, the kids had a fantastic time as well, Ruby and her assistants brought great energy and were able to make every kid (even the more tentative ones) feel comfortable and want to join in the fun. The face painting was spectacular - great detail, long lasting and didn't smear off. I don't think many kids are letting their parents wash their faces tonight! And the balloon art is something you'll want to save as well. Hiring Ruby and Co. was the best decision I made for this party. You won't regret it either.

We had a party in Industry City in Brooklyn for children aged 3-8. Reginald came early which is much appreciated! He set up and was very patient as all the kiddos gathered. We had the 1.5hr package and the kids were perfectly entertained! He was extremely engaging and the best part is that all the kids were entertained and no one was left out!
