I actually like this restaurant. The girl that greeted was very courteous, knowledgeable of the menu and friendly. I told her I was on a no carbs diet so she recommended a salad with pork slices. My dish came with the chopsticks. I noticed the chopsticks had some gooey white stuff. It's a little gross of course but it happens. So I stood up and another girl tried to help me. She asked if I wanted a replacement but disposable chopsticks, I first said no to disposable. Then my regular server approached me and I changed my mind that I want disposable chopsticks instead. I think that's what triggered the other waitress because she just started giving me dagger looks! Wat da hek! Am I not entitled to change my mind? Besides if they gave me dirty chopsticks the first time they might give me dirty replacement chopsticks again! Oh well! Would I go back? Just because of that waitress, I actually won't. Unless she doesn't work there anymore then I will. Thus the 3 stars. Remember food could could be great but if there's a server that will make you uncomfortable while eating your meal, the experience is ruined!

Another day, another mall, another restaurant are you seeing a pattern?

This branch is the "nearest" to our family who lives in Makati. It appears small from the outside…read morebut was surprisingly spacious inside. Also, the main entrance is on the ocean side. Since we were a big group, we had to have separate tables and (since I was lazy to cook that day) we requested that our servers cook our dishes for us! For starters, we ordered a dish of Kalbi Yakiniku and Pork Yakiniku. Since the grill was quite hot, the meat was seared perfectly and not overcooked by our server. For the okonomiyaki, we got the following (which are also my favorite go-to dishes): Cheesy Pork Okonomiyaki, Hamburg Cheese Steak Okonomiyaki, Pepper Kalbi BBQ Okonomiyaki, and Butatama Okonomiyaki. What I like when the servers cook for you is that, well, there are zero accidents or burns and... the okonomiyakis will always be cooked perfectly! I love how the meat and the other ingredients give you different textures and flavors in every bite. Please remember to always wait for a few seconds before taking the first bite! Now, we come to my most favorite dish: the Four Cheese Okonomiyaki! It is made of gouda, cheddar, emmental, and parmigiano reggiano. The crust is thin, light, and crunchy giving this dish excellent texture. It is then topped of with caramel...salty, sweet, crispy...so delicious! I can order 2 and just eat that for the whole stay. Oh! Do try their Chuhighs too! Pretty good drinks to have with your okonomiyakis :)

The restaurant had a really cute Japan theme with super cute decorations! The food was really good and different. We ordered the Gyoza (php 180), Chicken Karage Caesar Salad (php 190), Hakata Ramen (php 340) and the Cheese Ramen (php 350). The item that stood out to me was the Cheese Ramen, at first I thought that it wouldn't be good and I would get tired of it cause its just cheese and noodles. I ended up liking it because the cheese that they used wasn't overwhelming as I thought it would be. The Hakata Ramen was also really yummy and not too salty. Total ~$20

Ramen with a cheese sounds odd but the taste is surprisingly good…read more The ambience resonates vintage Japan. Hanging lanterns and signages creates an authentic feel of eating along the streets of throwback Tokyo. I came from Asia Pop Comic Con in SMX and it is better to dine outside MOA to avoid the hassle. It was a long, tiring day and a bowl of Ramen is the only thing I have in mind. Good thing there's a branch of Mitsuyado Sei Men in blue bay walk. Tsukemen means "dipping noodles", the art of eating ramen with a separate broth and soup to dip the noodles. The regular bowl of cheese tsukemen is a contention of a savory soup and thick sauce cheese. The taste is confusing on the the onset but I easily acquired the taste. I also ordered ebi tempura don. I have the urge that I deserve to eat noodleas and rice at the same time. The pacing of the service is slow. There's a refillable service tea but they don't serve glass of water. You can also bring home pastries and bread from Yamato Bakery conveniently connected at Mitsuydo Sei-Men. The original branch is located at Jupiter street in Makati City.

This time the visit was with my parents, my brother, my husband and me. We were served with delicious complimentary tofu with a great-tasting sauce. My brother ordered the aji tataki for us to start off and it's been a while since I've had this. Beautifully done and very tasty! My brother got the chirashi bowl. My husband and I shared the Gindara kaku bento - grilled cod fish, salad, salmon and tuna sashimi, tempura, miso soup with clams and mango ice cream. For dessert, fruits was the other option. My brother also ordered several chawanmushi for us to share. My parents shared the Nigiri kaku bento. There was so much food. The one down side was the fish in my parents' bento box was a bit tough, unlike the gindara that we had. I would probably recommend the Gindara kaku bento between the 2 bento boxes. We also had this soup that came in a small teapot. I had missed jotting down the name but you drink the soup from a miniature teacup. Glad we didn't order more food because there was already lots of food! Highly recommend!

For a PhP 6,500/head dinner, I expected seamless service and premium quality, neither of which were fully realized. The Ambience: We arrived at 4:30 PM for the 5:00 PM seating, only to find no staff at the front desk and no lounge area for early arrivals. The place was literally closed and opened on the dot, 5pm! The lack of a dress code (there was a diner in shorts) and the non-festive music made it feel like a casual Tuesday rather than a special occasion. While the varnished wood tables look nice, they lack the refinement of fine dining; condensation from drinks pooled easily on the surface. The Service: Despite the restaurant being only half-full, the wine service was sluggish there were multiple times when I had to think if the staff was expecting me to stand up and grab the bottle of wine and pour it to the glass myself, there was even a time when the staff attempted to clear my plate while my wife was still eating--a basic fine-dining faux pas. The Food: This was the biggest letdown. The crackers tasted stale, the lobster bisque lacked body, and the squid sushi was bland. Most disappointing were the mains: the fish skin was rubbery, and the Wagyu was overpowered by an overly tangy sauce. Even the desserts felt repetitive in flavor. It's hard to recommend this Omakase when the execution doesn't match the price point.

Compared to others in NYC, LA, OC, Greece, etc, this one was not my top pick for some reason. The vibe and service was so so, and so does the foods. Cocktails are also just so so...I noticed that in Asian, besides HK & Japan, Sing & Thailand, not so much of good mixers. Overall it was just okey place.
