Unfortunately, the service delivered was completely unacceptable, permanently affecting key milestones of our wedding day. Ceremony & Audio Failures: During our unplugged ceremony, the DJ sat slouched over, on his cell phone, completely visible to our guests. Because he was entirely distracted by his phone, he completely failed to manage the audio equipment. As a result, our guests could not hear our vows. Reception: The lack of professionalism grew worse during the reception. He missed the timeline cue to transition guests to the dance floor, causing a massive lull in the evening's timeline. During dinner, he played Christmas music at our summer wedding. Furthermore, he repeated the same songs including several from our "do not play" list, while ignoring the vast majority of our request playlist. He demonstrated zero crowd engagement or MC presence, leaving our guests to work overtime to keep the dance floor alive. Management's Response: When we first brought these issues to the owner, Mark, he was dismissive, defended the DJ, and offered a minor adjustment. It was only after our professional wedding planner contacted him directly to corroborate our experience that he changed his stance. Mark explicitly admitted to us in writing that he was "horrified" by the feedback our planner provided and questioned the DJ's future with his company. He then issued a 50% partial refund. However, when we requested basic professional transparency regarding how this systemic failure occurred at the cost of our wedding day, Mark completely stonewalled us. He ignored our direct question, became dismissive, and explicitly stated he would no longer reply to our emails. We have multiple wedding vendors and guests prepared to testify to this total lack of professionalism. Turning to public reviews was our last resort after being entirely shut out by management. We strongly advise future couples to look elsewhere for their wedding entertainment.

If you have never attended a SE2 silent disco you are definitely missing something. Here's how a silent disco works. You are given headphones when you enter the event. These headphones have three channels red, green and blue. Each channel has different music played on each channel from three different DJ's. You have a switch on the side of your headphones to switch between channels and when you do the color of your headphones changes to the corresponding channel, so your friends and others know what channel you are listening to. The whole setup is amazing with lights and lasers. It's fun to see people dancing with no external music being played. Everyone we were with, had the best time. We have been to several SE2 events since our first and each event is better than the last. SE2 would be the only silent disco event company I would trust. They have always put on an excellent experience each time we have attended. Keep up the excellent work! See you soon.

I haven't personally commissioned SE2, but I have attended two Silent Disco events with my family…read moreand friends. If you're not familiar with Silent Disco, here's how it works. You check in and get light-up headphones. The headphones have volume control, and a toggle switch to choose between three stations. The stations color-coordinate to the three DJs who are spinning the music. You can flip between the three channels as you wish. All the music is heard through the headphones only, hence "Silent" Disco. We were at the Silent Disco events at the Music is Art festival at Riverworks in September, and the November Free First Fridays at Albright Knox. After two times experiencing Silent Disco, I'm certain that "Oh hot damn, this is my jam"--SO. MUCH. FUN!!! Granted, I love to go out dancing, so it's right up my fun-alley. Both events we attended were family friendly, and our kids (ages 9 and 12) had a blast, too. They're requesting to go again! I love having three channels to choose from. You know how when you're out dancing, and the DJ plays a song that's not your fave and it kinda kills your mojo? That's far more unlikely to happen at Silent Disco, since you can flip to a different song. Also, anytime your ears need a sec away from the loud music, just pop off your headphones or lower your own volume control. You are totally in control of what you hear. Is it strange being in a room full of dancing people that is essentially silent? Surprisingly enough, not really. I suppose to onlookers it may seem silly. But when you're a part of the party, dancing in silence was no problem at all, not for me anyway. I don't have much of a problem dancing at any party, though; I'm usually the one to get it started and to shut it down. ;-) So if you're a bit shy, it may take some courage to get moving, but I highly recommend you set your inhibitions aside and just cut a rug in silence. A quick search of Facebook and Yelp events will probably pull up other SE2 Silent Disco happenings coming up at various venues across the 716. They are usually free or inexpensive, and some are all-ages. My only complaint is that there aren't more family events, as most are late-night at a bar. But that gives me a reason to insist on a Silent Disco date night with the hub'ster, so I can't complain too much. Thanks SE2 for bringing this incredibly fun, unique experience to WNY!

I sampled a vegan chocolate chip cookie, a cabbage stir fry, a jambalaya made in a more healthy manner, a blackberry concentrated tea, pita with tzatziki, a mini Greek salad. It is a nicely laid out space, but some vendors were not set up when the event opened. The veggie pizza did not arrive until an hour after the event opened and the one sheet pizza was quickly gone. It was a two hour event, but most of the vendors, both food and products, had nothing left after an hour.

My favorite was the veggie stir fry from Sunshine Vegan Eats. The jambalaya, by Ravelle Culinary Creations, was also very good. It had a little kick already, but she offered Frank's hot sauce if you wanted more umph. There were vendors with healthy teas, Tom's was offering pita with tzatziki tasters and Mister Pizza had veggie pizza tasters. In the dessert options we had a tasty vegan chocolate chip cookie.
