When they asked me if the girls were allowed to have makeup I was prepared to say "no" but then I realized it was fun and dramatic eye makeup, nothing inappropriate. My girls LOVED the rhinestones on the corners of their eyes, it was a fun touch. Then the girls got to sing and dance on a stage and pick which songs they played, the staff did not limit them on this but I stopped after 3. Haha. When it was time to go they were given ice cream bars and gift bags that were absolutely filled with goodies. We had a awesome experience and I would rate it a 5 except o felt like some of the staff was a little bit unprofessional with their conversations in front of the kids, almost too casual. But I'd overlook that and definitely bring them back .

My friend and I got the instant access pass for an extra $25 and to be honest, it was worth every penny. With it being spooky month, we knew it would be jam packed. The line got general admission was ridiculous. The line to express access was better but still pretty long. Instant access allows you to skip the line and go straight to the entrance of the haunted house. The music was too loud to hear the instructions but I guess the gist is, don't run and don't touch the actors. I loved the design and themes of most rooms. Some left a little to be desired. I do wish there were a little more actors and better system of separating the parties. There were quite a few times we were able to see ahead so we knew what was coming. My favorite times were any moment where the actors interacted with the guests, like when we were chased. After the haunted house, you're able to buy merch and take photos. Although we didn't do the escape room, I liked that there was an option to do so this adding to the whole Halloween experience. All in all, I enjoyed my time at the House of Horror. While there could be some improvements with setup, I would still recommend it for others wanting to check out a local haunted house.

A lot of the women thought they would get direction and interaction. We received none. Although it's stated she is not an artist, we found it odd that this company exists. It's like a cooking class being taught by someone who doesn't know how to cook. Concept is awesome, just needs some tweaking. More interaction from the owner and her assistant and maybe a real artist to accompany them as well. My independent opinion is as follows: As a planner, I get annoyed when things are asked of me that should have been mentioned ahead of time. I don't like last minute stuff. Some things to improve on. 1) it was stated that I would need to supply tables and chairs, music, server, food and drinks. However, the only mandatory thing I needed to have were the tables and chairs. Imagine my surprise when I needed to supply a pitcher of water, a tray table, and cups for the wine they brought. Some people may not see that as an inconvenience, but I certainly did. Those items seem to be essential to the company, so it should be supplied by the company or added to the list of things the customer has to provide. 2) the assistant was on her phone most of the time. Only time she spoke to us was when she asked if we wanted wine or more paint. More interaction would be nice. 3) I really liked how Mel assisted my daughter when she gave up on her painting. That way my daughter still had a painting to keep. Kudos to Mel for that. 4) this isn't a negative, but it would be nice to see some shirts with the company name and/or logo. Regular clothes are cool, but it would look more professional with identifying clothing. 5) if you are looking for guidance or you are a true novice in painting, this is not the company for you. In closing, this company isn't the best, but it definitely isn't terrible.

Mel was very detailed with expectations, logistics, and provided excellent customer service. Truly gave me the confidence to book her services. She followed up with friendly reminders before the event and was very responsive to my requests. Mel's team was early the day of the event and was able to setup very promptly. Every artist did very well with their paintings. Mel was very detailed, a great instructor, and hilarious! Special kudos to her coworker, who was extremely helpful and accommodated every want-to-be Picasso. That really helped with the pace and the success of the paintings. I was concerned with spilled paint on or around the home. It's okay if I spill paint, but a guest making a mess is an absolute no no...not sure why this is a pet peeve. Mel's team was very clean. All attendees praised the event and there is a sense of fulfillment when supporting a great local small business. Highly recommend the paint party with Mel. Great customer service, fantastic instructor, and reasonably priced.

No one called or anything. When I told him my invoice (that HE sent me) said I had 3 more weeks to pay it, he just said well it's too late, no one is available. This is not how you do business. A follow up call would have been sufficient, but I didn't get that. I inquired to pay 50% prior and was told no, pay in full after. This is not the company to go with if you're having an event. THEY ARE UNPROFESSIONAL! I am now left at an event on a sunday with no seating for my guests
