Purchased a part from them. Got it home to put on car and it was worse than the original part. They offer no refund so we threw away 50.00.

"Sure" "click" I always am greeted by a pretty friendly voice. They are fast convenient and honest. They sent me the wrong thing by accident and then made sure they sent the right thing to me by checking with me and mailed out the correct part the next day along with an apology. These small values are what will keep them open forever and keep me a customer for life.

Before I even had time to make the call, a gentleman pulled up and began placing a jack under my car. He then told me I could keep the jack as he and his family run a salvage yard here in town. That gentleman's name was Chris Bell and he saved me an enormous amount of time and anger that evening. A good man who went out of his way to help me like that deserves a shout out and good review. I bought a vehicle for my daughter mid-April for $6000. In 10 days the drive shaft fell out of it…read morewhile she was in downtown Des Moines. Dale towed it back to his lot and we paid another $500 to have that replaced. (Side note: Have you ever known of anyone whose DRIVE SHAFT FELL OFF? I haven't.) That didn't bother me too much because I figured it would be one repair and done. But, after they made that repair the car was pulling badly to the right and Dale wouldn't address the problem. (It had not been pulling to the right before the drive shaft fell out, so I'm assuming they didn't do something correctly when they replaced it.) Other things were also going wrong, the locks wouldn't operate with the automatic buttons, my daughter would have to climb from the front seats to the back to manually pull up the lock, which was difficult to do with her fingers because there wasn't much to grab hold of. My granddaughters certainly couldn't do it, they weren't strong enough. The back windshield over the hatchback was rattling loose and about to fall out, and a few other things weren't quite right. We had made an appointment to have another shop find out why it was pulling hard to the right and to fix all the odds and ends. Before her appointment at that shop, she was driving home and as she pulled off 235 onto 63rd street and was stopped at the light to turn right, people in the lane next to her were yelling for her to GET OUT OF YOUR CAR, IT'S ON FIRE!!! And it was, from underneath there was a fire. She got out of the car, the fire department showed up and put out the fire. I said, "How did you get home honey? Well the policemen gave me a ride the remaining 3 blocks to the house." So less than 30 days and the car was totaled. I called Dale and he had nothing to offer. Except that he had other cars for sale, since she would obviously be looking again for a car, and he wanted to be our friend. I said, "I don't think I can afford to be your friend any more, Dale." If my granddaughters had been in the back seat and hadn't been able to get out, and the fire department hadn't arrived soon...Horrible Also, the previous car she had been driving had been taken to a shop when it broke down and was told they couldn't fix it, there was a problem with the computer chip that controlled the electronics of basically the whole vehicle, and it would cost more than the value of the vehicle to replace/repair that. Dale charged us $100 for that vehicle to be towed to his salvage yard. In the meantime he replaced the chip in that vehicle with something from his salvage yard I assume, and put it for sale for $7000. I doubt his fix will last long but I think that car has already been sold to some other sucker like us who believes Dale's talk like, "I just want to get your daughter into a reliable car and take care of whatever else she needs, we will do oil changes as needed and you can call us any time with any concerns." She called him over and over about all the things that were happening and got nothing but blowoffs. For example we asked him when we bought it if he thought it needed an oil change right away, as in, do you know when it had an oil change last? And Dale said, "Just drive it for a while and see how it does and if it needs an oil change soon just bring it in." That was the last time he said he would take care of her. And the mechanic there even said to her when she picked up the "new" car, "Oh, you're not going to be happy about this but we already fixed your old car and have it up for sale!" He was actually BRAGGING about fleecing us basically. So no, I would DEFINATELY NOT buy anything from this place until at the very least you have a good mechanic look it over from head to toe before you make an offer, and probably not even then. I have not been this disappointed in any purchase I've made from a used car dealer ever before, and I've bought a fair amount of used cars in my time on this earth. Dale is not even embarrassed by this. He said, "Well I don't know what she has been doing since she drove it off the lot." Well Dale, she has been driving it around Des Moines, to work downtown and to take her girls back and forth from school and to/from school activities. She was driving it down Grand Avenue when the drive shaft fell off. She was driving it down 235 onto the exit for Windsor Heights when it caught on fire. Dale said, "Well, I've seen these things happen, there might have been some grease from an axel or something (I actually cannot recall EXACTLY where he thought grease would be leaking out from, that would catch on FIRE for some reason), I've just seen these things happen with used cars, so I can't help you." We are suing him for bad practice, and I doubt if we have a chance in hades to win but I hope it costs him something to fight the case. And I plan on filing grievances with any public agency that tracks these kinds of businesses. Because it just isn't right, even if it is legal. He knew what he was selling.
