The wait was a little longer than expected but Dr. Kelly and other staff apologized and were very friendly to me. The reviews about Dr. Kelly were right! She works efficiently and with the intent to make sure you feel seen and heard. She answers any questions you may have and is very personable. I'm very glad that I found her on my search for a woman of color GYN. My biggest positive about seeing Dr. Kelly was that she doesn't make you feel judged or ignorant like most GYNs--it's even in the way that she phrases her questions. I then stated I was overdue for my visit and could do a payment plan and was told again I could not be seen until it is paid in full. How does the office let a secretary decide who can be seen or not seen? How do they tell someone that without going over their history to make sure they are okay to wait to be seen? I have had issues in the past Dr. Safi is aware of which I explained to her and she did not care. I guess the secretaries now dictate who can be seen. I sent a message to Dr. Safi and was called by someone in the office stating they would talk to the manager and call me back. I received a call stating they had come up with a plan and when I called back I was told what they could do for me is make me an appointment after the amount due is paid even if it takes me months to pay it. Really are they kidding me. Acting like they solved the problem. If I am not mistaken that is exactly what the secretary told me the first time I called, so where did you have a solution? This just showed me that they are money hungry and truly do not care about their patients health. Thank god I didn't have an issue and needed to be seen right away I would have been turned away. I guess patient care means nothing these days! Dr. Amore and her staff make you feel very welcomed when you enter. Their facility is always clean and you leave her office feeling "cared" for. Every visit I have with her is very comfortable because although her answers are professional, she talks to you as a friend too. Even after office hours, you can send messages to her team through the online portal regarding insurance, billing, prescription or setting your next appointment. Registration to each visit is also through an online link which I love, because it makes the check in process a lot faster! I'm in and out always in less than 30 minutes. I was confused as one of their nurse staff drew my blood and said yes. nurse just said "ok I'll figure it out." I come to my appt for the front desk lady to tell me there are no results to review?... and they can give me orders to get them done elsewhere. So they billed for a service and lost the blood. on top of that, I have a primary and secondary that will pick up my deductible they tried to charge me over $200 for my ultrasound. A friend receives services at Women's Care Florida and Emily came highly recommended so that is who I scheduled with. Emily took my whole medical status into account and was incredibly warm and kind. I have never in my life had a doctor/patient interaction filled with such empathy. Emily is smart, proactive, offers excellent patient education, and she seeks out guidance/second opinions from her Women's Care Florida colleagues as needed. I have no doubt that I am in good hands with Emily. I am so grateful I was directed to her. Note: Women's Care Florida offers a variety of services to include imaging. The whole staff was fantastic but we want to especially give a Special thank you & recognition to Nurses Robyn & Colleen!! Both super special women! They were informative, kind, patient, encouraging & alwaysssss available through the process. Together we were a TEAM- we are forever grateful for the love they showed during my daughters 2 & 1/2 days of labor. The hospital is clean, lots of birthing options, kind & respectful nurses who put YOUR needs first & never try to push anything on you that's not in your plan. She is constantly booked, so if you are looking for an appointment with her specifically, call WAY in advance. She takes a lot of time with each patient, making sure they have all of their questions answered(sometimes I come in with a whole list!) She was the doctor who recommended CRM and Dr. Loy to us for IVF. A year later, we are 10 weeks pregnant! The office: They have several offices, but the one I am reviewing is the Winter Park location. It has ample parking and an elevator to the 2nd floor where the physicians offices are located. They have 4-5 people working reception so you never have to wait long. Their waiting room is large and spacious- they have a water machine with cups available as well as magazines. Scheduling: This is the only reason I can't give this 5 stars. Dr availability is NOT the issue either, I expect good doctors to be booked :) The issue is if you are having an ultrasound or another lab the front desk can't book you-- you have to wait for a call from a scheduler. I am a very organized person and always bring my planner with me to appointments(yes, I'm old school but I LOVE my Erin Condren planner!), so I'd like to take care of scheduling same day.
