Yarmouth Place - Maintenance is amazing and really hard working. I do like that you can put in your request online and they respond timely usually within 1-2 for non urgent items. I recently had an issue with the faucet in the sink, and was also going to be traveling so I dropped that in the notes so they knee and could fit my request amongst their others that were more time sensitive. I also let them know they didn't have to worry about my cat, since I was boarding her. Every other time, they are very aware and make sure she doesn't get it. She actually really likes them so she is more interested in pets from them. I also moved the cleaning supplies to make it raise for them to get through to work their magic and fix the spray hose. I came back after a few days and while I would have preferred them to turn off the kitchen light after they were done, it was wonderful to walk into a new sink faucet and spray hose! They left everything clean. The maintenance guys are honestly the best part of this place. Yarmouth Place, Yarmouth Pointe and Yarmouth Green management company is another story. my boyfriend and i (25 and 22) moved to yarmouth pointe summer of 2023. while the price seemed decent for the size of the unit, we quickly realized that we would rather pay more for a smaller place than continuing to live in the conditions that the property had to offer. was warned about this place by previous tenants, and wish we had listened. to start - cockroaches! our entire building had them, which is close to unheard of in the state of maine. took the office months to have the problem resolved, and still not sure that it completely is. kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom. there's no air conditioning, and the windows are tall so window AC's aren't an option unless you find some way to rig it to make it fit. our unit got so hot that we had food melt and mold over night during warm weather, and even on cooler days, no ventilation or fans so the heat stuck. there's no in-unit laundry, and though there's laundry offered on the property, the it's clear the washing machines are never cleaned. we - along with neighbors - had our laundry stolen straight out of the dryers by other tenants. "emergency water shut offs" consistent almost monthly. appliances are the same as they were when this place was built. constantly had flooding dishwashers, broken toilets, and the water in the shower changed temperature rapidly on its own. counters falling off walls in the kitchen - and the fix was filling it with caulk (this is where the roaches came from!). each unit has 1 reserved parking spot, which often times are occupied by vehicles that don't belong there. visitor parking is available, but are taken by cars that never move. finding parking is near impossible. maintenance takes forever to work on a request, gives you no heads up as to when they're coming, and the amount of unfinished requested i've still got open is beyond me. instead of replacing things, they choose to put bandaids on them for the next person to deal with. upon move out, we were charged for requests that were never completed. kids run ramped there, no supervision and always playing in the parking lot. not their fault, but parents should probably be able to stop their kids from playing ding dong ditch or banging on the walls outside. no overhead lights in the bedrooms or living room. random stains on the walls. carpets (covering entire unit except kitchen and bathroom) required to be cleaned before move out but ours clearly weren't (and were told that they would be). office is horribly rude, have been hung up on multiple times and it takes a while to hear back. various times i've seen articles about sketchy people driving through the lot offering things to people to get them into cars. overall, wish i would have read reviews and listened to past tenants before signing for this place. i guess it works if you need it to, or if you like living in a hot, dirty, home from the 50's. good luck to anyone who signs! read more

You always expect to be treated poorly by this type of business model, but Yarmouth Point is the worst I have experienced. Even the most toxic landlords will usually display some level of flexibility and humanity in order to salvage a reputation, but that is not the case here. Steer clear. read more

My husband and I moved here in April knowing we were expected our first child. We picked a one bedroom for financial reasons. My favorite thing about these apartments is that they have a washer/dryer in the units and also all have dishwashers. The apartments are clean and quiet which I love. Management isn't great but they did just add a feature so you can pay online which I appreciate. Plus for good neighbors in a safe area I can overlook some holes in the main office. I would say if background highway noise is something that would bother you don't live here. We however don't mind it, and are willing to deal with a little traffic noise to be so close to 295. Makes commuting to work and other activities easy. Oh and they are pet friendly. I think paying extra each month for pets is kind of a rip off, but I love my cats so I do it. read more

The manager Kathleen only sees black and white. All she knows what to say is that is our policy and does not care about us the customer. Take my advise and RUN, RUN, RUN and find another place to rent. Spoke to Patrick fro corporate office and he was no help at all. Same thing like a robot that is our policy. The company will go broke over $500. That's to bad that they treat customers the way the did us. read more

I moved to Yarmouth Pointe as a jumping off point to my new adventure in Maine. As I get ready to leave after nearly a year here, I want to say what a great experience it's been. From the first contact with the front-office staff (Laura in particular who helped arrange my lease long distance and guided me gently through the process and then day-to-day maintenance, questions, and concerns over my time here) I have never been left wanting or wondering. Whatever problems I had in the unit (which were very few), they were addressed each time the same day. It's been a great stay and I'm more than pleased I landed here when I did. read more

As a long time resident (17+years) of Yarmouth Green, it is my home. I truly enjoy living here for many reasons. The management always responds quickly to any requests. Maintenance is top notch. There is nothing the maintenance man cannot fix. I feel confident in having any of the personnel in my apartment whether or not I am at home. The location of Yarmouth Green is convenient to all the necessities one might require. Groceries, Post Office, dental and medical facilitie, and great restaurants. The well known LL BEAN is only seven miles away. Freeport offers lots of shopping. Portland is also nearby. Yarmouth is a friendly town as well as offering a safe environment. There are several parks close by. All in all, a great place to call home. read more

We were looking for a temporary apartment (one year) while we relocated and moved cross country. My husband picked the apartment while I traveled with our 3 children. We really wanted to be in Yarmouth and the housing market was challenging since we have both a dog and a cat! It was nearly impossible to find something to rent! But, that being said... we love the location and we're really happy here. The washer/dryer in the unit is a MUST HAVE with 3 children. There are TONS of kids around in the neighborhood. We've had basically NO issues with the apartment. And the one minor issue we had with the bathroom that was handled the same day, immediately and hasn't been a problem since. The maintenance crew is great. The office staff is very friendly and available. We loved the pool all summer long. With all of us living here - and it's a bit crowded - it still feels like home. The layout is actually great. The kitchen (in our unit) is small (other units have different layout with larger kitchens), so I have a rule... no one allowed in the kitchen if you want dinner served on time! Ha! Our location we have very little noise from 295, but other areas/unit do carry more noise, so something to consider if you're sensitive to that. Our apartment looks out over a woodsy area and it's really nice. I hardly ever hear my neighbors, the sound/insulation seems good, too. All the units in our area have new gas heaters which is totally awesome. Many of the units are updated, ours had new floors on the main level, which is nice. read more
