The team (two guys) one who was very young and didn't speak, seemed to have the job at hand, under control. After only a few hrs. they text me and said they were finished. They went outside and brought their equipment back inside and began doing the things I told them they needed to. They did not call boss, just figured I was right, I guess. They said they would be there another 45 min. but it took them almost 3 more hours to complete. They did not argue or slack, after our discussion. It may have been lack of communication from management but they definitely needed close direction. They were not professional looking and did not arrive in a large enough vehicle to look like they could complete the task. All in all they did a sufficient job for the price but it took some skill to get them to complete.

It then provided 3 prices for different levels of window cleaning. That section was followed by a proposal for a 2 year proposal for a visit each year which included a range of services including window washing. This was followed by a 2 year, 2 visit proposal. When I sought clarification on the 2 year, 1 visit proposal they responded with information about the window cleaning levels that did not address my specific question. When I followed up to get my question answered they noted that the multi-year agreement was not relevant to the window washing only. They did offer a discount on the window washing because of the confusion. Further correspondence revealed that the discount only comes on subsequent services and they offered to prepare a proposal detailing all of this. Then I learned that they would not provide the proposal until I had scheduled (and received?) the first year service. At that point, the red flag was up and I responded that I was not going to hire them because the process and information had been confusing from the start and did not improve. My concern being that any issues with the actual work would result in the same communication problems. Amazingly, they responded and essentially put it back on me....what I couldn't understand..... Never in 40 plus years of providing professional services did I ever tell a potential client that they were the problem.
