Calling all dairy lovers!!
Tried out Yaourti today, the latest addition to Montreal's healthy eateries. We've seen all types of 'bowls' this decade, from Poke to Hummus.. and now with Yogurt entering the scene.
There are many options on the menu to choose, from sweet and savoury, that could work as either breakfast or lunch, maybe even as dinner and dessert.
I tried out the Mediterranean bowl, which consisted of Greek yogurt topped with cherry tomatoes, olives, harissa, artichoke, feta cheese, fresh oregano and olive oil served with seasoned pita bread. I loved the rich and smoothness of the yogurt and the combination of flavours however, after a while it did get a bit heavy for me as after the toppings are done, you are left with half a bowl of plain Greek yogurt.
If you aren't a fan of munching down a whole bowl of yogurt, there are combinations which use the yogurt as a dressing such as grilled chicken/halloumi salads or sandwiches. For warmer options, they have a variety of soups incorporating yogurt.
The decor is very chic and inviting, with super comfy seating and a minimal layout. I loved that all their bowls/cutlery are compostable and super cute. Service was excellent and the ordering procedure was simple and easy to understand. I did find the prices a little steep - 12$ for a bowl of yogurt and some veggies...
Overall, I would return to try something different or even for a Mediterranean coffee. And to my Lactose intolerant/vegan friends, don't worry... they got you! They have a dairy-free yogurt option too read more
