My 8-year-old daughter wanted tempura shrimp and we were in the area so we stopped by. We sat at the sushi bar and the sushi chef Kevin was wonderful, making her a few little tastes which she loved, broadening her palate. The host brought her a cherry blossom lollipop, Funchops and a fork, and when we asked for a to-go box it came loaded with fortune cookies. If you are with kids and you want sushi, this is the place to go. The whole staff was delightful. I ran a Japanese restaurant for a few years and can say that the fish was the freshest I've had in the area. We ended up taking the tempura shrimp to go because my daughter ate so many other things. Wonderful and unexpected experience. We are in the area every other Saturday so this will be our new stop. read more

Yang Ming has onsite parking which is GREAT in my book. Very clean inside and spacious with plenty of seating. Good for a large party. We had drinks that were strong and yummy ! Piña colada was great. Our sushi was delicious, fresh and filling. I recommend the gyoza, not too heavy and had the right amount of crunch to it. We will be back ! read more

I just ordered Egg Foo Young and I was so disappointed. I didn't know they put Peas and Carrots in which but I did try but it didn't taste good at all and the worst part was when I added the gravy on it (OMG) I choked the gravy so over salted I was choking on it. I won't be ordering this again. read more

If I could give this place ZERO stars, I absolutely would. Honestly, this was the WORST dining experience of my life, and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. First off, the outside of the building looked like something out of a horror movie. There were skunks wandering around, and I swear I saw at least three mice darting back and forth like they owned the place. The smell outside was so bad it almost knocked me over, but I thought, "Maybe the inside will be better." Oh, how WRONG I was. I walked in, and the first thing I noticed was grease literally dripping down the walls. It was like the walls hadn't been cleaned since the 1800s. The floor was sticky, the tables were wobbly, and there was this faint smell of something burnt mixed with dirty socks. I ordered my food hoping for the best, but when it finally came out (after what felt like three hours), it was horribly undercooked. The meat was practically raw and slimy, and the rest of the meal tasted like it had been sitting in a dumpster all day. I didn't even take two bites before I told the server something was wrong. And do you know what they said to me? "Tat's how it come." Excuse me??? That's how it comes?? Are you kidding me?? If that wasn't bad enough, I decided to use the bathroom before leaving, and I instantly regretted it. The bathroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years. There was graffiti and vandalism all over the walls, toilet paper everywhere, and the sink was literally hanging off the counter. It was absolutely disgusting, and honestly, worst of it all, there was a massive poop in the toilet that was rock solid and unable to flush. I felt like I needed a full cleaning and tetanus shot just for walking in there. This place should be SHUT DOWN IMMEDIATELY. Health inspectors need to come ASAP before someone gets seriously sick. Do yourself a favor and NEVER eat here. read more

We're major sushi fans at my house, so we're always looking for somewhere local to go. Yang Ming II is our recent find and did not disappoint! This may be our new go-to sushi destination. Love to sit in the bar area and have a MaiTai, but when parents are there and their children age 10 and under are in the bar I won't go in. The kids (6 of them) were in the bar on New Years Eve 2025 taking up tables in the bar area. Won't be back. read more

The first 2 times there food are great. But then start ordering lunch specials. Nope. The fried rice is so salty and greasy. The second time for the lunch special I ordered white rice, and it was good. The cashier is not friendly only one that has been great so far I went there (had met 3 different so far) The restaurant is very clean and nice. Their sushi so far really good as well. I may come there just to eat sushi someday read more

we got lunch meals delivered. It came quickly and hot. The rice was ok, the egg roll tasted fine but was harder than normal. The chicken in the mixed veg dish was inedible. rubbery and slimy. I just ate the veggies and had to add soy to give it some kind of flavor. The sauce it was in was white and pasty. Turned me off from Chinese food :( read more

To start off the place was very clean. I was disappointed with the sushi. Cleanliness 4.5 stars Food 2.5 stars Top roll: 4stars Dragon roll was the best of the roles and typically Middle roll: 3 stars Yang Ming special I should have asked what seafood salad was as my expectations were too high. It was imitation crab meat with spicy Mayo. This roll was okay Bottom roll: 2.5 stars salmon and scallops charm wasn't as fresh as it should have been I eat sashimi and am not a huge fan of rolls as I really like fish. These roles were not as fresh as they should be Also ordered the snow in fried asked for one to be with no spicy Mayo. They just left the plain rice ball no tuna. The spicy tuna was the scraps of all the tuna and not nice chunks of tuna in the spicy tuna. I would not recommend or order this! read more

A couple of year's ago when we stayed at the Hampton Inn in Amesbury we had a craving for Chinese food and the only place we found near the Hotel was Yang Ming II, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food then, and now that we live in the area, we decided to give them another try! It's a nice small Restaurant and we were seated promptly. It was early in the afternoon so there were only a few people in the Restaurant! A nice young and friendly Chinese woman, her name was Nana, took our order. We ordered Chicken Curry, Vegetable Lo Mein, Chicken Teriyaki and Crab Rangoon. To our surprise the food came out in less than 10 minutes, which tells me that some of the items were just reheated? The Chicken Teriyaki were huge pieces of plump chicken, tasty but a little dry & chewy. The Chicken Curry was served in a overly sweet sauce and not spicy at all, my better half loves Chicken curry but was completely disappointed by this version! The Crab Rangoon was somewhat under fried but not bad and the Vegetable Lo Mein with very few Vegetable's! Since moving back to the area we haven't found a Chinese Restaurant that consistently serves really good Chinese food it's just Ok food, and even though the portions were generous but not of the quality that we expected! I would've given Yang Ming II 4 Stars but because of the disappointing way too sweet and not spicy Chicken Curry and lack of veggies in the Lo Mein they only deserve 3 Stars. We think that the turnover, of Chinese Chefs/Cooks in Chinese Restaurants, is responsible for the inconsistency of their food! The search goes on! On a side note....The Owner of the property should really do something about the, unsightly falling apart brick wall, at the entrance of the Restaurant! read more

two used to be really good. The food was fresh and tasty. The last two times I've eaten there, The food is so greasy, the appetizers were definitely old and reheated. I threw out my $24 lunch today cause I couldn't eat it. It's really gone downhill and it's a shame. There must be new management or owners and they're doing a horrible job.. I won't go back. read more

Wanted to try something new & different. Ordered 2 "Must try" dishes. Awful. Crispy beef teriyaki & Spicy chicken slices. Both dry & inedible. No sauce?? Spent $40 & threw everything directly into the trash. Will not make that mistake again. read more

Food is great. Service .... Not so much. One waitress, 20 tables. However, I will say, the server can only deliver food the kitchen preps. They deliver 1/2 the food to the table and the others sit and watch the others eat. Why don't Chinese food restaurants understand basic service?!?! It might just be cultural differences. read more

We were sad because our regular Asian place is having issues. He likes Chinese I like sushi. Yang Ming II fit the bill! Good service, great food, big portions and reasonable price. He could get 1/2 portions of stuff that were good size and he liked and I won't eat. So happy! Lots of leftovers too! Looking forward to next time! read more

Just would like to say Yang Ming II is a top notch place to visit. I reserved the sushi room for a party of 15 on Saturday night and let me tell you from the moment we walked in we felt we were in the right spot. The hostess Lulu and her staff were tremendous. Starting with the cocktails, the huge selection of food and attentive service were top-notch. They brought us two servings of complementary sushi. Towards the end, they brought us a complimentary fried ice cream.to celebrate my sister's 75th birthday. From the sushi to the Japanese appetizers to the entrées, etc. you can't go wrong having a celebration or just a meal at Yang Ming II. read more

Our order was messed up. We ordered 2 small hot and sour soups and we did not receive them instead we got miso soup (which we hate) or something and only one small thing of crispy noodles. We ordered two orders of different maki but the sweet potato was hand rolled with the seaweed on the outside (which we hate). And finally There was no sauce for the Peking ravioli. When I told him I only wanted 2 dishes to take home he never questioned why not the others (when they were barely eaten). We had beef lo main, beef chop Suzy and a pupu platter. Great food in this area. Everyone there is friendly. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a good Chinese restaurant.

GAHHH. It hurts me to write this review but the past few times I've dined here the experiences have been less then great and we won't be returning. The service needs some SERIOUS work, my man and I came out this past weekend and were really disappointed with everything. Total bummer. Our male server was completely lifeless, literally looked like he hated his life and didn't say one word to us. Just stood there and waited for us to start talking when he came to the table. We ordered with no communication and he just dropped all the food containers off in complete silence. Um? They serve everything in to go containers for the pandemic including the alcoholic drinks, which is totally fine however, I was a little disappointed to see some tables had the original glass scorpion bowls for their drinks and we weren't offered that option, we weren't spoken to period. The eye rolls were obvious since it's the only thing you can see on someone's face now a days with masks. He was just straight out annoyed to be there. Damn buddy. Didn't check in on us the entire meal. A female server came over at the end and just dropped our check. Didn't even ask if we wanted anything else. We both work in the industry and get people have bad nights but really? How do you expect a tip? We NEVER leave less then 25 percent and this was the lowest tip I ever left in my life. The food was blah and for 60 bucks (with tip) we were left totally disappointed. What kind of experience is this? Boo! read more
