If I could give this place ZERO stars, I absolutely would. Honestly, this was the WORST dining experience of my life, and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. First off, the outside of the building looked like something out of a horror movie. There were skunks wandering around, and I swear I saw at least three mice darting back and forth like they owned the place. The smell outside was so bad it almost knocked me over, but I thought, "Maybe the inside will be better." Oh, how WRONG I was. I walked in, and the first thing I noticed was grease literally dripping down the walls. It was like the walls hadn't been cleaned since the 1800s. The floor was sticky, the tables were wobbly, and there was this faint smell of something burnt mixed with dirty socks. I ordered my food hoping for the best, but when it finally came out (after what felt like three hours), it was horribly undercooked. The meat was practically raw and slimy, and the rest of the meal tasted like it had been sitting in a dumpster all day. I didn't even take two bites before I told the server something was wrong. And do you know what they said to me? "Tat's how it come." Excuse me??? That's how it comes?? Are you kidding me?? If that wasn't bad enough, I decided to use the bathroom before leaving, and I instantly regretted it. The bathroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years. There was graffiti and vandalism all over the walls, toilet paper everywhere, and the sink was literally hanging off the counter. It was absolutely disgusting, and honestly, worst of it all, there was a massive poop in the toilet that was rock solid and unable to flush. I felt like I needed a full cleaning and tetanus shot just for walking in there. This place should be SHUT DOWN IMMEDIATELY. Health inspectors need to come ASAP before someone gets seriously sick. Cleanliness 4.5 stars Food 2.5 stars Top roll: 4stars Dragon roll was the best of the roles and typically Middle roll: 3 stars Yang Ming special I should have asked what seafood salad was as my expectations were too high. It was imitation crab meat with spicy Mayo. This roll was okay Bottom roll: 2.5 stars salmon and scallops charm wasn't as fresh as it should have been I eat sashimi and am not a huge fan of rolls as I really like fish. These roles were not as fresh as they should be Also ordered the snow in fried asked for one to be with no spicy Mayo. They just left the plain rice ball no tuna. The spicy tuna was the scraps of all the tuna and not nice chunks of tuna in the spicy tuna. I would not recommend or order this! read more

A couple of year's ago when we stayed at the Hampton Inn in Amesbury we had a craving for Chinese food and the only place we found near the Hotel was Yang Ming II, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food then, and now that we live in the area, we decided to give them another try! It's a nice small Restaurant and we were seated promptly. It was early in the afternoon so there were only a few people in the Restaurant! A nice young and friendly Chinese woman, her name was Nana, took our order. We ordered Chicken Curry, Vegetable Lo Mein, Chicken Teriyaki and Crab Rangoon. To our surprise the food came out in less than 10 minutes, which tells me that some of the items were just reheated? The Chicken Teriyaki were huge pieces of plump chicken, tasty but a little dry & chewy. The Chicken Curry was served in a overly sweet sauce and not spicy at all, my better half loves Chicken curry but was completely disappointed by this version! The Crab Rangoon was somewhat under fried but not bad and the Vegetable Lo Mein with very few Vegetable's! Since moving back to the area we haven't found a Chinese Restaurant that consistently serves really good Chinese food it's just Ok food, and even though the portions were generous but not of the quality that we expected! I would've given Yang Ming II 4 Stars but because of the disappointing way too sweet and not spicy Chicken Curry and lack of veggies in the Lo Mein they only deserve 3 Stars. We think that the turnover, of Chinese Chefs/Cooks in Chinese Restaurants, is responsible for the inconsistency of their food! The search goes on! Food is great. Service .... Not so much. One waitress, 20 tables. However, I will say, the server can only deliver food the kitchen preps. They deliver 1/2 the food to the table and the others sit and watch the others eat. Why don't Chinese food restaurants understand basic service?!?! It might just be cultural differences. read more

Just would like to say Yang Ming II is a top notch place to visit. I reserved the sushi room for a party of 15 on Saturday night and let me tell you from the moment we walked in we felt we were in the right spot. The hostess Lulu and her staff were tremendous. Starting with the cocktails, the huge selection of food and attentive service were top-notch. They brought us two servings of complementary sushi. Towards the end, they brought us a complimentary fried ice cream.to celebrate my sister's 75th birthday. GAHHH. It hurts me to write this review but the past few times I've dined here the experiences have been less then great and we won't be returning. The service needs some SERIOUS work, my man and I came out this past weekend and were really disappointed with everything. Total bummer. The eye rolls were obvious since it's the only thing you can see on someone's face now a days with masks. He was just straight out annoyed to be there. Damn buddy. Didn't check in on us the entire meal. A female server came over at the end and just dropped our check. Didn't even ask if we wanted anything else. We both work in the industry and get people have bad nights but really? How do you expect a tip? We NEVER leave less then 25 percent and this was the lowest tip I ever left in my life.
