    Amazing Unagi Maki

In short, this sushi restaurant is FANTASTIC. We went for dinner on our last night in Seville-- after several days of tapas, we needed a little change. We've had a lot of sushi from a lot of restaurants over many years and, truly, this was easily in the top 5. The restaurant is really nicely and comfortably decorated, the staff are all kind and attentive, and the food is phenomenal. Each dish we had (maki, tar tar, seaweed salad) was beautifully plated, super fresh and delicious. We don't know why this place doesn't show up on the map, but we hope more people find it because it's a gem!

Japanese in Spain? Could it be good? Yes! They have tapa portions too! We ordered the edamame, chicken gyoza, seaweed salad, and yakisoba. All of it was fantastic. I don't agree with the 3 euro. I would say 1 or 2. Good pricing for the portions. The dumplings were really good and had a rice noodles in them. The seaweed salad had a seared scallop on it and it was delicious! The pork yakisoba had a great flavor and the pork was tender and juicy. I asked for a hot sauce too and it was nice and spicy. I am a spicy lover and wouldn't recommend if you don't like things too hot. If you like spicy, you might not consider it that hot but it has a good flavor and a good heat level. We sat outside on the patio and they had some heaters running out there but also seating away from the heaters if you like that.

A bit pricey but the sushi here was good. We tried the lobster roll as well as the unagi roll. I wasnt too fond of how they did the rice for the lobster roll, but overall they were both good. Service and staff were friendly. This is located in a touristy area, same square as the setas de sevilla. Not too sure if we would come again on our own, but if it were in a group setting, we would not be opposed to dining here.

Food: We've tried a couple of dishes ranging from super delicious to pretty much run of the mill. Best ones for us was the leche de tigre nikkei ceviche and the iberico niguiri. The ceviche amazed with so many flavours and a delicate freshness and texture and the niguiri ibero just for its classical sushi style and yet unusual meaty taste combined with a yummy sauce. The two, three other dishes were more a matter of taste. Service and bill: Concerning the service the staff was very friendly and funny but a bit inattentive (didn't change plates full of sauce, chop sticks, cutlery). The bill contained the so called "pan y servicio" which is nothing else but a fee for the service. The served bread we gave back. Normally you are not being charged with anything like that eg in Granada or you can take it off the bill but in this case the waiters insisted to leave 2€ for two people "servicio" and explained it by saying that it's common everywhere in Andalucia. That's simply not true!

Our lovely server Mara walked us through the options so we could choose and advised in which order to taste them. We ordered the Galician octopus (excellent), The shrimp carpaccio (raw thinly sliced), and the little neck clams in garlic broth. Everything was amazing! Plus we got 2 glasses of white wine. Some of the best seafood experiences are in markets like this. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for fresh seafood. They didn't take credit card but have bank machines close by -- FYI. I asked for the free wine - they honored it- when I showed them the Yelp page.

That is what this market feels like, after a long walk along the river under the hot July sun, the wonderful a/c in the market freshened us up and we started our walk to find the Oysters place. When we got there we saw what everybody was talking about - reminded me of El Quim at the Boqueria market in Barcelona, but less chaotic and serving only oysters and sushi (which we didn't taste, but saw it being prepared and looked great). We took our seats in two of the outer stools right on the aisle of the market (they also have seating inside the stall, nice if you're more than 2). We got 2 or 3 varieties of oysters from their extensive menu each, which includes descriptions of the origins and taste, and a glass of cava each. Total was less than 20 euros. I think we had the Galician and the Irish varieties Why only 4 stars? When I ate my last oyster I could taste immediately there was something wrong with it, but my husband said his' were perfect. After we made it back to the hotel I got a bit sick so I guess my last oyster was not the freshest, however the others were perfectly fine and the cava was fresh and bubbly, sorrounded by the market atmosphere I love I must say the stomach ache was a minor detail in the whole experience.
