I used this dry cleaner for years. However, I recently dropped off several brand new blouses for cleaning. They lost them. At first, they kept telling me that they were looking for them and would call me when they found them. They could not find them and refused to reimburse me for the items. As they made a mistake, I feel that the right thing for them to do was reimburse me. I even had receipts for the purchase of the blouses. When you drop off your items, an employee takes them. Sometimes they write down your name; sometimes they do not which is likely the reason they lost my blouses. The corporate customer service representative was dismissive and unhelpful! She clearly just hoped that I would go away and accept the loss. I Do NOT recommend! read more

I rarely need to use dry cleaning services, but I had an interview and needed my pants cleaned/ironed within 24-48 hours. I went in to request a cleaning and by the end of the day my pants were as good as new! And the best part is two pairs of formal pants were cleaned for less than $20. Worth it read more

It's all good until they eventually lose one of your items which I was always fearful of because their employees will come out to your car but not write down your name or your phone number and try to memorize it while you drive off and they have your items. Brought in some work clothes for an upcoming trip and realized they did not return one of my blouses that I needed for a meeting. In the last two months I have stopped by four times and called twice. Initially they kept telling me they were looking for the shirt and would call me with an update. They never called me back. Finally they said they were issuing me a claim which I had to stop by in person to find out. They never told me how much the claim would be bthat it was in the mail. Called four weeks later because no claim and gave them my address twice. Called another three weeks later and they said they would send it. Still no check in the mail. Very poor customer service I won't be returning. Update: owner sent a message saying gift card was sent to corrected address. I can confirm I have never received it at my current address. Also I hope it was not a gift card for your store. I just want my money back for my blouse that I need to replace. read more

The team at 38th and Peoria lost my fiance's tuxedo and was not very helpful in trying to locate it when we were in the store to pick it up. That said, the management at Yale Corporate really jumped on the challenge first thing the next morning, tracked down the lost suit and is having it overnighted to our location so that my fiance will have it for his brother's wedding this weekend. read more

Pros: after discussing it with two employees, the place finally took my cleaning back and got the stains out. Cons: Yelp failed me. I needed to find a local cleaner I could trust and I found this chain along with a Yelp coupon. Brought in a dress (teriyaki sauce stain) and a blazer (boogers from the dog). Brought both items in the same day they got dirty. I could have done it myself at home, but didn't want to bother with the hassle. After a prolonged wait due the sales girl entering my name incorrectly into the computer system at the time of drop off, I was able to picked up the items. The stains were still there. The clothes didn't even look clean, just pressed. After much debate with staff, wherein they tried to convince me that the stains were there to stay, they agreed to try again. Of course I was correct in not backing down and they were able to clean my clothes. I would understand this kind of service (customer service and cleaning) from one of those $1.99/item cleaners, but this place charged me $28 ($25 after coupon) for the 2 items. Next time I need to find a dry cleaner, I'm going to ask my co workers. read more

My clothes were returned to me in terrible condition. Snags, thread pulls, shrunken pants and sweaters. Taking my clothes to a place that's much cheaper and actually handles the clothing with care. read more

After 15 years with Spiffy's, I grew weary of the steady decline in quality and service. I moved my business to Yale Cleaners at 91st and Yale about a year ago and it's been smooth sailing ever since. The location is an easy in and out, the staff is professional and courteous, and I haven't had a single lost or damaged garment. Eva greets me with a smile at the counter and even remembers my name.
