Highly recommend the Yakult factory tour! Order tickets online. This is the first & only factory in the US. Great history about the company and information about the nutritional and tasty drink and products. The tour is well organized with the tour guide, videos, viewing of the manufacturing rooms. And they give each visitor a bottle of Yakult to drink and a gift (which was a Yakult squeeze toy for stress). So glad we came. Very nice experience.

What a fun and free Yakult factory tour led by Bryant! I was able to book the tour online about a month in advance. They confirmed the tour date via email, after which I signed a waiver to finalize the reservation. The tour lasted about an hour and was both interactive and informative. We learned about the history of Yakult and discovered that there are different designs and flavors around the world. We were given free Yakult squishy souvenirs and samples to try - original Yakult (red) and Yakult Light (blue). Both tasted great, but Yakult Light has less sugar, so it was less sweet. We also got a behind-the-scenes look at the manufacturing process, from culturing the drink to bottle production and labeling. Taking pictures is not allowed during the last portion of the tour, but we were able to take pictures throughout. The experience was so much fun, with trivia questions throughout the tour and Yakult keychains as prizes for correct answers. Overall, it was a super fun experience and would definitely recommend if you love the Yakult drink and wanted to learn more about it. Thank you Yakult!

This is the first United States production facility for Yakult probiotic drinks that supports Yakult's business in the United States and Canada. The facility offers free 1-hour public factory tour for anyone who's interested. The company was founded in Japan in 1935 and this factory in Fountain Valley started in 2014 with a plan to open another US production facility near Atlanta in 2026. [Tour availability]: Monday to Friday at 10 AM, 2 PM, or 4 PM. [How to sign up]: To sign up for a tour, go to the website ( https://www.yakultusa.com/factory-tours/#factory-tour-info ) and request for 3 different tour times. After I submitted my request on Monday, a tour representative emailed me within 24 hours. The 3 tour time slots I had requested were not available so I asked for the entire November calendar. I confirmed a time slot on Thursday, signed & emailed a waiver, and went on the tour on Friday at 4 PM. [Duration]: Approximately 1-hour tour and arrive 10 minutes early to allow enough time to check-in. Restroom is available on the 2nd floor. [Parking]: Free onsite parking. [What to expect]: The tour started with a quick presentation video. Next the guide took everyone to the 2nd floor to see various Yakult products from over 40+ countries. Everyone got to sample the Yakult Original and Yakult Light straight from the factory. Then the last 30 minutes the tour ended with us checking out the production process via the glass walls. Each section has a video projection going over the manufacturing process in details. Each of us left with a squishy Yakult bottle and the tour ended slightly over one hour. Pictures and videos are not allowed during the actual walkthrough of the production process in the last 30 minutes. [Conclusion]: No souvenir shop here, but it was a solid factory tour and this is definitely something I would recommend anyone who's a fan of Yakult. Too bad the factory is only available for public tours on weekdays only. P.S. - Yakult actually owns a baseball team in Japan called Tokyo Yakult Swallows.

This is the only Yakult factory in the U.S. currently so if you're a fan of the popular probiotic drink, you'll enjoy the free tour they offer. It's pretty easy to book a tour on their website. You have to schedule 2 weeks in advance and they offer tours 3 times a day Monday- Friday, excluding holidays. After you send your request, they will email you back to confirm your date/time and have you sign waivers. There is plenty of parking available at the factory. You meet in the lobby where you can take photos with a big Yakult bottle and Yakult Man while you wait for the tour to begin. The factory is clean and there are restrooms available. The tour is very informational and if you're lucky you'll get to see the factory in operation (unfortunately there wasn't much happening when we were there). The highlight was sampling Yakult drinks and the complimentary stress ball. It would be nice if they added a gift shop with exclusive products. The whole experience lasts about an hour and is something interesting to do if you're in the area.

Free and enjoyable! Book online in advance. The tour was around an hour and informative. Love the complimentary regular and light yakult.

Super awesome that YAKULT gives free tours. Had a wonderful time learning about the history, processes, and different products they have. It was fun to try out the two different YAKULTs and overall, my group and I had a great time. I would recommend this tour for anyone visiting LA. Coordinator was extremely communicative and it was very easy to schedule a tour.

Yakult was my absolute favorite drink growing up in Hong Kong! Maybe it was because my parents didn't allow soda, but it became a childhood staple. These days, I only pick it up occasionally. Now after taking the Yakult factory tour, I've gained a new appreciation for it. Learning about the health benefits and how it supports gut health has definitely inspired me to start buying it again. The tour was really informative, we got a glimpse into Yakult's history and watched the production line in action. I especially liked their color-coded system, which made everything easy to understand. We also found out that a second factory near Atlanta, GA is in the works, and it'll be bringing new flavors to the U.S. soon. I tried both the red (original) and blue (low calorie/low sugar) versions, and honestly, they tasted pretty similar to me. Tours are available Monday through Friday, three times a day, and can be easily booked through their website. It was also fascinating to learn that Yakult is involved in medicine and cosmetics in Japan. The whole experience takes about an hour and is well worth the visit!

What a fun and light activity to begin my day. Took a relative who was in town from different state and he's a tajult consumer like me ! Located 20 mins from where we live, we decided to start our Monday with the tour because they only offer it on the weekdays and that's the only time I was able to do so. We were able to call and ask if there's any spots left because the website only allow you to make a booking 2 weeks prior. The guy was so nice and gave us a spot and he's also the one who did our tour. The tour is very interesting if you are a yakult consumer. At first it was pretty slow to learn about the history and the ingredients, but once they took you to the manufacturer side, it got more interesting. Too bad no filming allowed! I'd recommend this activity for locals and visitors from out of states or country! And a yakult drinker as well!

Been wanting to go to this factory tour for a long time! If you're interested, I definitely recommend you making reservations in advance. It is super popular and super busy! The tour was one hour long and very informative and fun. They gave out free samples, there were some fun, cute, freebies, and cute photo options. If you're looking for something free to do an Orange County I definitely recommend checking out the yakult tour.

I Recommend this free tour, it does book up fairly fast during weekdays. Reservation is a must. They do start exactly on time, but if you do happen to come early they do have chairs on the inside. The tour was very educational about the history of Yakult, process of how it is made. During the tour, They do give out free squishy souvenirs, and during a classroom presentation video they hand out two Yakult flavors "original" and "light" drink and taste. The staff was extremely helpful and welcoming, during the factory tour you cannot take pictures or videos. Took about an hour, so be prepared for that. This is the only factory here in the US, and now they are in the works of building another location for a bigger factory which I thought was really neat. My kids enjoyed the tour except during the factory part of it, it was very informative they started to drift off which is to be expected since they are younger.

Free tour? Say less. Our tour guide was very helpful and friendly throughout the whole tour. I went with a huge group of people, including many little ones. I would say that kiddos older than 5 years old will enjoy the tour but younger than that will spend most of the time getting distracted. We got to learn about how it was created, the different types of products each country offers, and got a free squishy. The tour itself was around 1 hour and 30 minutes. Our reservation started at 2pm and we finished around 3:30pm but stayed back to take pictures!

My family and I did the free yakult factory tour and it was very lovely. The tour guides were welcoming and everything was educational and informative

such a fun and FREE experience in orange county! the tour was only an hour long but the different activities they led us through made it go by so fast! tour guide was very friendly and engaging + overall created a fun vibe despite the large group size. we got to taste both the original and the lite version yakult which was awesome! videos and fun facts were interesting as well :) fun photo opps at the end! one thing is to make sure you book in advanced! the days filled up pretty fast (especially if you have a bigger group size) when we were booking. they're very communicative through email though, which is greatly appreciated

Totally not the guide's fault, but there was a bit of huddling under awnings and leaping over puddles throughout the evening. Also, there were times we wished that the guides waited to tell stories when we were inside, instead of standing in the weather. We were a big group and they split us into two - we started in different places and met up halfway through. Several members of our group had food allergies. The best part of the evening was the diligence our guide took making sure he accommodated the special diet needs, including some bizarre allergies. There were no slip ups or mix ups, and there was a couple of things everyone could eat at each place. The stories we did hear were very interesting, although it was really limited to a couple of anecdotes here and there. There was more socializing and sampling than touring and learning the area's culinary history, which was fine. We felt like the delivery could have been more engaging and the tour more interactive but overall it was really enjoyable. Good variety of different restaurants, and this was one of the only tours we could find that could do an evening slot instead of just daytime. Food was pre-ordered, and all the choices were really good. A great way to learn about the area and try a lot of different things, while spending quality time with groupmates.
