What a wonderful show and a friendly guy. We got to meet him at intermission and he did a deal book poster and DVD for 20 bucks I got the poster and the book signed. He was very funny lots of skits and jokes. He's 100 percent full patriot and supports American through is paintings especially during 911 whenever he sells a painting the money goes to the families of 911. He talked of his life story of coming to America and becoming a citizen after immigrating from Soviet Russia. Come see him you won't be disappointed read more

A huge disappointment. I had so wished for a show where we could laugh and have fun, instead we were subjected to a marketing campaign along with political diatribes that left us less than enthusiastic. Also, much of the show there were comments about women that were disparaging. Sigh! Not at all what we had hoped for. We made it through 30 minutes of marketing campaign, and an hour that included mostly political diatribes, to eventually leave at intermission. Will not recommend this show to anyone. read more

It was a love fest for people that love Trump. I was offended by the Trump actor that said Let's go Brandon! It means F U Biden. I would never say put loud FU Trump! His second half of show was better when it was non-political. He was definitely playing to Trump supporters! Trump actor's wife came on our bus before show and said Let's go Trump! Maybe after election he can use other funny material. I do think he is funny. Then maybe he could fill his theater. For me i won't be back unless his routines change. read more

The show was funny. It was patriotic and made funny jokes. The seating was terrible, too tight. If I knew that I would have bought seats where you could sit every other seat. We were in front. Also there is a hard sell with his book in the middle of the show. The part that was the worst was my husband bought all the stuff (which I didn't want) and asked him to take a picture. No move . It didn't bother him but I did not like it at all. The popcorn was stale. So it's a good show, but the rest is a NO. read more

Went last night after wanting to go for several years. My sister went years ago and said they laughed for hours. He told stories of his childhood and coming to America. There were funny parts of it that I really did enjoy. But it was mostly storytelling. Also I guess he got a Doctorate in psychology and spent time analyzing laughter in relationships. I was looking for more jokes. I spent money to come to a comedy show, not a relationship lesson. Come on Yakov. Put the funny back in your show. read more

I'm sorry but this show is a joke!!! that guy is very rude! and wants to mock my child who is autistic. He moved us to the very back cause my kids were being kids. My favorite show, ....but that was years ago. Yakov hugged each and every one of us as we entered the theater. Except for one guy. He refused. It seemed to hurt Yakov's feelings. But that's ok, not everyone likes hugs from weird comedians. read more

Yakov is funny and has a good message for his adopted country. But the show also has singing, dancing, art, a ventriloquist, audience participation and this year a "presidential debate". It is good clean fun for the whole family with a man that has done a lot more with his life than you probably know (Dr. Smirnoff, really! Look it up!). You can also talk to him during intermission and after the show. read more

NO. JUST NO. If you have children that are kindergarten age then just stay away from this place. Yakov decided that he would tell my child (5 years old) who is autistic that he and his mom and babysitter and her kids needed to move towards the back of the audience so they were a distraction to his show. Last I checked this is the same man that's theatre claims FUN FOR ALL AGES. I AM LIVID. we spent good money to watch a comedy show and let our kids have fun for a little bit. We didn't even make it 30 mins into the show and decided that the disrespectful nature of him and the terrible comedy was enough for us so we left. Hopefully the owner sees this and does something about it. This was horrible. All we wanted to do was enjoy a night with our kids and let them experience something funny and have a good time. NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO TO HIS SHOW. SHAME ON YOU YAKOV. SHAME ON YOU..... read more

Good clean comedy show that not only has you laughing until your ribs hurt but you also leave there with a new appreciation of how lucky you are to have been born in America. We arrived to Sight and Sound an hour and 10 minutes early which was crazy to us!! but we did all…read moreof our shopping beforehand and knew we wanted to be a minimum of 30 minutes early.... let me say, I am SO HAPPY we went inside an hour before. We got close parking to the building and near the exit. When you enter; we went to the right side of the building. Once we got there, we took a picture in front of the building. Inside, we weren't rushed to go to the bathroom & get some concessions. We sat in the upper deck in the middle. Specifically, row KK seats 53 & 54. I've been to Sight and Sound 2 other times and sat in the lower seats... I think I would prefer to sit lower.... Up top, we could see everyone's phones on, people having to stand up and leave- which I know is so picky of me but I would pay the extra money to sit lower. I will say, a perk of sitting up top is the bathrooms and exit way to the lobby that is quicker to exit & way less crowded! The only thing is concessions aren't served upstairs (I think, not for sure on this) We saw David! My theological nerd of a husband had some beef with wanting more exposition especially with Solomon and the temple but I thought it was great use of the limited time they have! They walked us through his young boy years, Samuel anointing him, his relationship with Saul & Jonathan, hiding in the cave, becoming king, Bathsheba, and ended with his confrontation with Nathan and a redemption song. The emphasis was on David wanting to know God's heart and be known by God intimately. Really spoke to me personally in this season. I do think seeing Jesus was my favorite because it's the gospels. My husband says his favorite is Esther. But honestly, anything you see will be good. The ushers are amazing! They were keeping an eye out on anyone who needed anything-even working in the pitch dark to escort parents or children out. They have quiet rooms for families in the back & good seating for those in wheelchairs or anything else. At the end of the show, they have cast members and S&S staff available to pray with anyone who needs anything & they do an altar call for salvation, which is EPIC! They give space for people to encounter God and be walked through prayer.

From where we started at the White River Landing, everything was smooth and well organized. The landing itself is charming, especially in the evening with string lights and a couple of shops designed to match the showboat's vintage aesthetic. There was a dedicated priority boarding line for Captain's Club guests that started on time and before general admission, so we avoided any wait. Staff efficiently guided us through boarding (complete with photo opportunity with an option to purchase later) and to our seats in the dining area. The dining experience was outstanding thanks to our attentive server and other dining staff. With Captain's Club, we enjoyed a menu to choose from, were served ahead of the general admission guests, and the food arrived quickly. During dinner, the show with the Rivertown Ramblers was energetic, also well-organized, and highly entertaining. The talented vocalists and musicians delivered a fantastic performance. The combination of the scenic cruise, great food, priority service, and live entertainment made for a memorable evening and one of the highlights of our Branson trip. I highly recommend the Showboat to anyone visiting and definitely upgrade to Captain's Club if you can.

Wound up damaging my car, due to an unseen concrete barrier..where the guard directed me ( over my protest) it not being a designated parking spot. Won't go back there, no matter who is performing. It's not worth it.

What a wonderful evening we had! And what a great guy! We laughed and cried as we listened to Yakov tell stories of his childhood, of coming to America, and his life as an American. My husband was moved by the fact that Yakov is still so humble and grateful to be an American immigrant after all these years. I have watched Yakov since he became big on the comedy scene in America in the late 70's and all the way through the 80's and 90's. The best part for me was getting to meet him and take a selfie with him. I wish we had more time to talk as I wanted to get his point of view on immigration as a true immigrant. However, his show is wonderful in that it combines his comedy with the telling of the story of his life. So brilliant and interesting and heartwarming! You are awesome, Yakov! A true American! Just saw Yakovs show this evening and we loved it! He's naturally funny, the entire show was clean humor which is hard to find these days, and he's grateful to be an American. He knows first hand what it's like to live in poverty under the governments thumb and clearly doesn't take this country for granted! His lessons for finding humor will definitely stick with me. Our first stand up show and it was amazing. He is truly an icon. Very friendly and personable when signing autographs. We were able to tell him a couple jokes and got a good laugh. Very interactive with the audience. Brought a member of the audience on stage to do a skit with him. Part of his act was an Inspiring story of his journey to the US. Is definitely a must see when in branson. Would go again. read more

We came for the main show, and also stayed for the Russian circus dinner show afterwards. The show is very entertaining and fun. A lot of jokes, very touching story told during the circus show. Actors and Yakov himself came out to talk to people during the intermission. Actors are high caliber professionals. And food .... it's catered, its ok, you don't come there for food. read more

I saw Yakov's performance at his theater in Branson. It was funny, heartwarming and though provoking all at once. Yakov is very humble and has great appreciation for what America has done for him. The food was room temperature, the chicken was so dry and tasteless. My pork was cooked into a gray 'hay-like' substance, my husband's pork was less gray with a bit of pink. The green beans were woody. The potatoes were ok, but again room temperature. I had to ask for a roll, as my plate didn't have one. This was also served room temperature, pulled out of a bag, I imagine. We had to ask for silverware, my husband had to go find napkins, as we had none. We never had any server check on us or acknowledge us once they brought the food. The servers handed out take out containers, but did not offer us one, so again, my husband had to go hunt one down. I thought the dog might eat the chicken I pulled off the bone. The cake was ok, husband liked it, I took the icing off mine as it was nasty. The show was where the two stars come in. We did enjoy the show, but it is pretty slapstick & lots of yelling. Two of the performers are entertaining, two others are 'ok' and one, I think she was maybe a fill-in that has never done this show until tonight. It seems very minimal effort has been put into making this a good show. Again, it's cute, but not great. The funniest part of the show happened to be the interaction of one the audience 'suspects' and the female deputy (She truly carries the show). We will be taking this off our list for returning. It's a shame that it has gone so far south. The venue was only half-full, so word apparently has gotten out, as it is Memorial Day weekend and should be busy!

We arrived early and found ample parking for the off season, in season they run shuttles to remote parking. We have to eat Gluten Free and even though we were told that was not a problem. No one seemed to know or care what that is. Everyone else was served and wife and I sat there until I asked a cast member who told me to have a seat but did nothing to remedy the situation. I was finally able to flag down help who was serving another couple and we were brought vegetarian meals! So much for service! We finally got a side of pork and were able to enjoy the meal. The cast seemed focused on the play but not helping guests. We sat next to a couple at another event who had had similar no service experiences on a different night. Not awful but certainly needs some help and some training. I am usually very generous with the praise especially for food service.

This is a great show with a great variety of acts. They have close up, Illusionist, danger magic,…read morementalism. I felt like the female magician, Samantha did a lot of the heavy lifting, but that's just me. Though I think the assistant actually had the better levitation. Though that was probably the intention to constantly ramp up the effects as the show went on. It was nice to see some effects that I only ever heard about, such as lifting the fridge that seemed to change it's weight. I enjoyed adding the appearing of people inside it, they do know how to add a lot to each effect. My friend who did not watch a lot of magic really enjoyed it as well. I think we both were absolutely mystified by the dove act and enjoyed seeing some razor blades from mouth. Well I could list tricks all review. Let's see, anything bad? Hmm...I guess I'm not the biggest mentalism guy, but I know my friend liked it. Guess I'm just a visual dude, and there was some work to really make the mentalism finale epic. This is a great show for the family in Branson. Definite reccomend.

When I went to pick up my tickets from the box office the woman was very rude and told me someone made a mistake and charged us for 3 teenage tickets instead of 3 adults. She then increased the amount I owed...DOUBLE what I was quoted. I had a certain amount saved back for this show and when she tried to double it, that's a lot of extra money owed!! I argued with the lady about it and said it's not fair to double my price just because someone here made a mistake. It's not my fault. She was VERY rude and told me if you want to talk to the owner you can, but I can't make change the price. I said I would talk to him, so she told me to come inside. (The ticket both is outside the theater) When I got inside I explained to the owner the situation and he went to the ticket booth and came back and wasn't helpful either. I had a Buy one Get one Half off with the Branson Guest Card, which I told them about when I reserved my seats, and he said even if he honored that I would still owe extra money because we are adults and not teens. I once again told him that I never told them on the phone that we were teens!! He said well let's ask the show producer, who happened to be in the lobby, and she said just charge $10 extra dollars. This is still more than I was quoted, but $10 sounded a whole lot better than twice the price. So I went with it. So...I got back to the hotel and went on a Branson message board site to warn people of the trouble I had, and someone responded from the theater and acted very rude about the situation then. You'd think they would be appologetic, but no...they basically said you never know what people try and pull and they have to be careful not to lose money. At this point I was about ready to cancel my tickets and find a different show....BUT I'm glad I didn't!!! We went to the show not sure at this point what to expect, and it ended up being in my top 3 favorites on this vacation!! The singers and dancers were so much fun and were very talented!! The music was great and there were so many costume changes. I was sitting in the front row and a couple of the guys kept coming down to sing to me...even brought me on stage to dance! I loved the show!! I wish they'd have DVDs available of the show, because I would've bought one for sure!! Just wish I wouldn't have had such a hard time with the box office and the supposed business man behind the show. Oh...I bought a CD of the show music...and it's good, but it is a different cast than the current show cast, and in my opinion the current cast are much better singers than the group on the CD. So...box office and behind the scenes business....1. Show 5!!!! Great show! Just be careful when you're getting your tickets!
