We found this park when we were passing by. We turned around and spent three days here! Chris and Marcy have put their heart and soul into this place! They have the above and beyond hospitality as well as a plethora of information about the area and the fun adventures nearby. They have a gathering area with very comfortable seating and fire pit in the center. Great play area for children and a dog walk for your fur babies. The bathrooms and showers are cleaned daily and very accommodating to all. As you can see we have had our fill of other types of RV Parks that tend to be more concerned about the sale than the truth. This place is priceless! We rented a pull through spot with full hookups. There are adorable cabins to rent on this 12 acre pine covered area with a short stroll down to the river. Trails galore to ride and the quaint little town of Troy nearby.

We didn't receive a refund.... We used NO services for 4 nights , yet received no refund. To make us pay $230 for a one night stay is unethical and just wrong! Most places have free dumps while you are there. If you dump more than once, you'll pay extra. We do not recommend this business! ***If we receive a refund, I will amend this review accordingly***

Some places grab your soul from the moment you pull off the highway -- Kootenai Falls is exactly…read moreone of them. I rolled through here expecting a nice view, and got full-on nature theatre. The hike isn't brutal -- about half-a-mile from the road to the bridge or viewpoint, with picnic tables and restrooms at the lot. Enough challenge to feel good, not so much that it kills your afternoon. The trail that leads upstream to the main falls is short but dramatic: water rushing over rock terraces, multiple drops, including a 30-foot fall seen from the overlook. Downstream you cross that swinging bridge -- it creaks, it sways above the green Kootenai water, and it gives you a rush just standing there. Accessible but wild feeling: old railroad overpass, rocky descent sections, metal stairs, forest canopy, birds, moss -- all the good stuff. I went there in early summer; the river was high, mist in air, sun breaking through trees. The light hits the falls just right at golden hour -- reflections everywhere, water sparkle, shadows dancing. Ambience is pure Montana: no loud crowds, mostly locals, forest smells, river roar, the rustle of pine needles. Parking isn't fancy, but it's clean; restrooms are basic. Picnic area shaded, with enough space to sit, eat, soak it all in. Final take: 5 stars, no doubt. Probably one of those places I'll revisit again and again just to feel that rushing water, that bridge sway, that "whoa" moment when you turn the corner and see the falls looming. If you're in this part of Montana -- don't pass it by.

This is one of the best experiences I have had during my travels and I recommend it to everyone. We spent hours here enjoying the beauty of nature. The walk is gorgeous, The falls are gorgeous, the suspension bridge is fun and exciting! And when I say anyone can do this, the lady in front of was by herself with two children...she literally had a newborn baby strapped to her and was pushing a stroller for her toddler and they made it over the suspension bridge and all the way back up. The only caveat is that there are some steps which are definitely not dog friendly. They are kind of a twisted metal with spikes that is probably great for traction and melting snow, but would be very difficult on a dog's paw pads, so if you have a dog with you you will have to carry them down some stairs. However, we encountered multiple people with large dogs, so unless that's a problem for you, for some reason you can still do this hike with your large dog. Our dog is small so it was a breeze. Another thing you will see a lot of on this hike is smiling faces. This is a genuinely beautiful place where people are just really happy. I could not recommend this more highly and even if you're not super close, it is worth the drive.

When we drove up we were allowed to check out the sites and there was quite a variety considering how small it seemed overall We were in site #8 and if you have a choice (and capable vehicle) I strongly suggest spot 7 or 8. They are tucked away right beside a path down to the lake. Amazing views all around. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that some of the spots seemed close together (perhaps for group camping) and had I ended up in one of those on a busy weekend I would have been quite disappointed-spots 7 and 8 get 5 stars though!!! They have really nice, clean, and surprisingly well stocked bathrooms although only 1 for each sex so on a busy weekend may not be the best but I was expecting May Long to be busy so maybe this is just a hidden gem. Super close to Ainsworth Hot Springs and even closer to the lake.

In order to navigate the park it requires coming in and out of the check point. Even after you have checked in, received your vehicle tag, if there are 20 cars in front of you, you must wait patiently in line once again. I did not know this (a new rule) and made my way around the lazy traffic to get to the boat dock after unloading my vehicle (parking is horrid). Next thing you know, I'm being chased down by a large Tractor! Literally a front loader with a bucket full of dirt. This maintance guy was insane. As I pulled into a parking spot at the boat launch he screamed in behind me, bloxking me in as if a criminal. Then, he unloads his bucket, 1 ton of dirt behind my truck and proceeds to challenge me to a dual. I have never been i sulted, humiliated and intimidated to such a degree at a campsite. I don't believe they are doing mental welfare checks on their employees at this camp. My family's stay wasnuch shorter, even though the views are beautifil. The camp hosts who also ran the small store were very sweet. Our power went out during a wind storm and the host and rangers checked up on us and kept us informed on what was going on.

The spots are level, that's important in a small rig like ours. The place is super clean and the bathrooms are a dream! The folks in the campground are mostly just passing through and some are there for a couple days to enjoy all the outdoor activities. Those there for awhile are super friendly and helpful, we me several in our little world of chaos! The owner though, he's the real hero of this little haven! We arrived later in the evening only to find an entire group of folks in our spot. Well, what we thought was our spot!! We called the after hours number and one of the folks actually texted the owner for us. Lo and behold, in the year and a half on the road, I had mixed up the reservation date! We were scheduled to be there the day before and they were full that night! The owner found us a spot to park though, luckily with a plug in since it was so hot!! We had a very peaceful night sleep and will forever remember his kindness! Thank you North Haven, you're one of the best!

Their caring, attention to detail and years of experience with luxury vacation rentals and real estate sets them apart. Nice RV spots, grounds are well maintained and beautiful. For "glamping", the Conestoga Wagons are fun, and there are actual Tipi spots coming that'll be right among the trees! Be sure to walk the nature trail through the woods when you're here. Close to town but not too close. Quiet. We've already booked our next stay, and we're picky. You'll love it!
