I went to see him about bumps on my forehead and nose, my complaints about which were dismissed by other dermatologists who told me it was nothing. After looking at the bumps and listening to my description of the symptoms, Dr. Torres said, "That is not nothing." He performed a biopsy - he was right. I had subcutaneous t-cell lymphoma - cancer. I will always credit him with saving my life. I see Dr. Torres at least once a year for a screening, more often when I have bumps that need to be biopsied, in addition to other dermatological concerns. I have always found him and his staff to be warm and compassionate. I do not trust any another dermatologist. The office is conveniently located and it is usually peaceful and calm. Although, during my recent visit, there were 9 people sitting in the waiting room and only 3 of us were actual patients. One person and his wife arrived fighting and complaining. That ended by the flinging of a clipboard across the room and a rant laced with profanities. I witnessed a full-on temper tantrum by a grown human. The matter of their outburst was the patient's fault, not the practice's. The office manager didn't skip a beat as she ensured that the other patients and the receptionist were safe. None of this is typical for this office.
