My husband and I went to his home for a consultation and he seemed nice enough, presented all he would do, so we decided to hire him and paid the deposit. We paid him as we went and he's been paid in full. This has been a slow process at which one point he went missing in action, he moved his residence and did not notify us nor the city as to where to contact him. After repeated calls (which his phone message is not set up to leave messages), and emails. I had to hunt him down through Instagram and contact his assistant. Do not use him. We had a project consisting of a simple detached 20 x 20 garage, along with converting our attached garage to a family room and bathroom. We have had the city out on inspections and two of them were not signed off because of his errors on the plans. He has been paid in full and we have yet after two years to receive an accurate set of plans, which I have asked him for 10+ times. I don't like to complain, however, I would not want this to happen to anyone else. Horrible experience. I agree with Joe S's comment. We are minimalists but with nice tastes, and Micaiah designed our home to just that. My husband and I are not rich people, so he made renderings that are to be either used right away, or done at a later date to help spread our money out. He not only does the design and renderings, but he helped us find our floor guy (and we love our floors!), furniture, shades, paint, etc. He knew we are on a budget, so he worked with our budget to find things that are affordable and sustainable. Our home is still coming together as we are spreading our money out, but once it is 80% finished, I will definitely post photos. Micaiah is so easy to work with and I highly recommend him!
