Friendly service hands down. My three stars are based on two things. 1. I ordered a happy hour drink during HH and was charged full price (wish I had realized this before I paid, so partially my fault). It was a $5 difference. 2. Ordered the tiramisu to-go. They said it was "award winning" but what came out looked very unappealing. To be honest, I threw it out... I mean, you eat with your eyes first. Maybe it's because it was to-go instead of eating it in the restaurant, but then maybe package it differently or something. Burrata plate was delicious. We stopped in for a date night and were overall pleased with our experience at Yada on Franklin! Although we had a reservation, we did have to wait just a couple of minutes. We were seated at an awkward table in the window, with a table practically right on top of us. It's a VERRRRY cozy experience, to say the least. Service was decent although we did feel forgotten about up past the main floor of seating. We really liked the bartender - he was so friendly! Food was pretty good, although on the more expensive side. Options are very limited in Clarksville, and considering the competition, Yada on Franklin does rank near the top. Oh my gosh this hidden gem!! Clarksville is filled with army and chain restaurants and I've been here so many times without knowing about downtown! Yada is a super cute vibe, amazing food, lovely service and perfect portions. You can have a pasta and not be overwhelmed. But also still enjoy another "small" plate. (The meatballs aren't small but SO worth it.). And I still had room for dessert. DO NOT SLEEP ON THE SALTED CARAMEL COOKIE SKILLET! And great wine list to boot. Totally lovely. Went to visit my friend at Fort Campbell and she suggested this Italian restaurant. It was located downtown Clarksville. Upon entry we were greeted and seated by very nice setting and welcoming staff. The layout and setting was very elegant, romantic, and chill. We ordered pesto pasta, ziti, mozzarella sticks, and chicken Parmesan everything came out quickly and was hot. The expresso martinis were to die for. I also tried a dessert drink with pistachios that reminded me of Bailey's. It was very delicious. I would definitely recommend this place for any of your dining needs. We were visiting family and stopped in for brunch. We were a party of 7 but the small plate format was perfect. We tried probably 10 different dishes from sweet to savory and they were all pretty good. Enjoyed the cocktails and the service was excellent. I've been to Yatta two or three times now. The place is delicious. The variety of foods are so good and I kinda look at it as if it's a topas place for Italian. The chicken Parmesan and meatballs are delicious as well as the bread that you dip and hot cheese. I can't remember I think it's ricotta; so good give it a try. read more

What went well? Everything! We were just staying overnite & wanted a decent dinner. We got it! On a Saturday evening we were seated right away! Jax, our server was super nice & patient. We loved the tapas style portions & pricing. We had the 2 beef options, preceded by the spinach-artichoke appetizer. And ended with crème brûlée. All was delish! I have to update this review because everything has changed so much in the last 7 years! We went to Yada for Sunday brunch and were pleasantly surprised that we could get immediate seating for a group of 9. Everything was great, location is beautiful. We got a mix of sweet and savory brunch dishes, as well as wine and drinks. The group we were dining with was very independent in their dining needs so there was very little sharing which was unfortunate. I can't wait to go back to experience the menu family-style as intended! It would be super fun to share a meal here with all of the small plates and dining communally. read more

The service was done well enough, our waitress was nice and tried her best even if she forgot to ever refill our drinks. The decor was confusing, it did not say good Italian food it was more a nice diner which was fine and I appreciated how clean everything was! The food.... Their house red sauce although very acidic was quite enjoyable! We had the London broil and it was served with a sauce that was not at all mentioned on the menu and the sauce contained horse radish which I happen to be allergic to. The chicken parm was black on the edges I had to cut off the entire outside to be able to eat it. It tasted alright I liked that the breeding was seasoned. The eggplant parm was actually very good, it was not mushy or burnt! With that being said, there is no warning of egg allergy anywhere in their menu we knew the pasta would have egg so the wife didn't eat that but we didn't think about the egg wash... so any kind of allergen notice would be helpful!!! Maybe 2 minutes Server arrived with water and mentioned a few new items on the Saturday Brunch menu. Food was very good as usual, but disappointed with the Eggs Benedict.....1/2 an English muffin, good bacon and a perfectly done egg.. Hollandaise, could not find it. Prices, as with everywhere are creeping up, but not any more that the rest. What really saved the day was our server Cheyenne! Attentive but not intrusive, knew the menu and was able to make suggestions and appropriate add on items. We had a great time due to service on what was surprisingly slightly above average food. killllller food as always. We tried a couple things, Thai Chili Wings, Italian sausage Bolognese, espresso martinis....you name it. GET the espresso martini, it's 10/10 the best I've had. Service was great, waiters feel like friends and it's easy service. Nice to see the owner walking around as well checking in, she truly cares about the place and it shows. The seats that we sat in might honestly be the best/most cushioned seats I've ever felt in a restaurant. When you come in, you get this family friendly, but very upscale vibe. Sooo much potentially and maybe we hit an off night, but we were very disappointed. Let me explain. It was a Friday night, so I anticipated long waits for a table and for food to come out. Checked in at the receptionist table and told it would only be a 30 minute wait. So we sat at the bar for drinks while we waited for a table. We ordered an old fashion, a purple rain and a fresh herds & bread appetizer. Shocked how fast the bread came out, it arrived with minutes, despite our drinks not coming for another 15 minutes. After waiting for almost an hour for our table we finally got to order. Another round of drink and I ordered the Carbonara while my wife ordered the Tortellini. After another LONG wait, my wife's very small portion (8 pieces, you can count them in the picture) came out. (It had to have been 30 minutes for her food. She actually finished her entire meal, and I still waited another 20-30 minutes before my meal even came out.... Which was another small portion size. After a 2+ hour experience we left paying a high end price for poor customer service and picked up Chinese food on the way home as we were still hungry The staff was very nice, the interior decor and overall atmosphere was great. They had a singer singing a lot of Frank Sinatra. Seemed to get a mixed reaction from the crowd, we didn't care much for him, but it's another positive for those that like live music (hopefully you get a better singer than we had) For the price, you can get much better food, portion sizes and timely service in other places around town. Yada's interior design is spectacular. I love the copper hammered tables and turquoise blue velvet chairs. The interior decor was very chic and new. Very charming place. Nice staff. I was told that the food is good. It is not authentic Italian food though. Bathrooms were very clean. Service was nice and friendly. She was a little forgetful. She apologized for forgetting to get me a clean drink menu. The one I had was messy with a wine splash on it. I was recommended the Everyone Hates Gin and The Devil Wears Prada Cocktails. Me and my husband's first time here and our first date night since we had our baby 8 months ago. Ronald was our server and he was amazing. One of my favorite places in Clarksville - hands down! I don't love going to Downtown on the weekends because finding parking is for the birds...but we still do it anyways! I love that the dishes are made for sharing - we always order a few things and nosh all together with a smattering of appetizers. However, last night I had a date with myself and it was perfect. I sat at the bar with my Kindle and enjoyed some cocktails and an appetizer. The original appetizer I chose was 86'd for the night - so after some suggestions from the bartender I decided on the Peppamento Cheese. It is served hot with a nice warm bread for dipping. If you like cheese, you will LOVE this dip! It's got a little kick to it and it pairs so well with the bread. Naturally, I ate the whole thing myself as dinner. But it's a great share for 2-3 people if you're splitting items. I always get The Devil Wears Prada as my drink. ALWAYS. It's a mix of tequila, wine and pineapple with a hint of lime. The first time I got this drink I was like YAAAAASSSS. If I ever bring someone there, it's always my suggestion! I even talked another woman into trying it last night too. I can't help it! It's just that good! Drinks do take a few minutes to be made since they're mostly specialties and multiple layers being put together. The drinks are always consistent though - which is great since they do have so many flavors involved. Just be patient - it's worth it! The food always comes out pretty quick. Ive never waited long after putting my order in and last night was great. I will say that you'll need a mint after eating there. Yada on Franklin is a vibe! The restaurant is quaint and beautifully furnished. They even have adorable window seats where you can enjoy looking out onto downtown Clarksville, which is also beautifully lit at night. Our waiter Ryan was amazing! He was very knowledgeable on the menu and gave us many recommendations for food, dessert and drinks. Now let's talk food. OH MY GOODNESS, the food her is top notch. We were told that the dining style is Cicchetti which is where you order multiple entrees to share at the table. Every dish we tried was above expectation. Next time, I need to try the pizza! Yada is very conveniently located downtown Clarksville and has the cutest feel with having tables in the glass windows which let you people watch. I have tried the brunch, lunch, and dinner here. Overall it is not the most gluten free friendly which can be difficult. For dinner they do serve a gf pasta and pizza but it is a little disappointing. The pasta was a tiny serving and the pizza was only half covered in sauce. I have enjoyed other things here like the tots which are delicious and the eggs in purgatory which were just ok. The thing I enjoy most about this restaurant is the cocktails. The key lime pie martini is a HIT and all the other drinks follow its lead. The service is always really good here read more

I went for my birthday on a Tuesday night. I made a reservation for 5 and I in the special request I said it was for my birthday. I wore a birthday crown saying, "It's my birthday." No one wished me a happy birthday, no one it was my birthday, and no birthday celebration like I know other places do. On top of that, my drink took 30 mins to get. The drink I ordered said it had club soda, however it contained no fizz. They did remake it and I still didn't like it, and they did take it off my bill, however by the time I got the drink I actually liked, all the food had already came out and were just finishing up! Yada! Glad we gave this place a try. We went on a Thursday evening. No wait for a table, we were seated at a high top table. The chairs were surprisingly comfortable. There is nowhere to hang a purse (they should get those under-the-table hooks!) but hanging it around the back of the chair worked fine. The interior of the restaurant is quite lovely. High tin ceilings, large open floor plan. I've walked by and always seen tables empty up front and assumed the place was dead but it stretches far back and there's tables in the back area that you can't see from the street. For a Thursday the place seemed to have a steady flow of people, but wasn't crowded. This place is not cheap, and it's not a regular restaurant. Our server was awesome and explained right away about their "cicchetti" which essentially means "small plates" (think, tapas). These plates are intentionally small. I've seen some recent reviews with people complaining about the serving size. The menu boasts that Yada is the ONLY cichetti bar in Tennessee! Did they not read the menu? Did their server not explain the concept? Anyways, moving on.... For two people we shared 5 plates. We started with the Brussels sprouts, the bread with red sauce and goat cheese, and the burrata. The food comes out as it's ready, not all together. The items all arrived quickly to our table. The red sauce with goat cheese was absolutely delicious. The Brussels sprouts were also very good, but a bit salty with all the cheese on them. Burrata was perfect. It was served cold, which is not traditional (should be room temp) but it was creamy and lovely. Honestly never thought I'd get a yummy burrata in Clarksville so this was a very nice surprise! The burrata comes with sliced tomato and a balsamic drizzle. Next we ordered the meatball skillet and carbonara. They also came to the table in a timely manner. The meatballs were good, a lot of garlic. The carbonara should be renamed to Alfredo, which is what it is. Carbonara is not a cream sauce, it is made with egg. Now for the drinks. I was pleasantly surprised with how delicious the drinks were. Our server recommended the Devil Wears Prada which was a mixed drink of Cabernet and tequila. Not something We'd ever had before, but surprisingly delicious! We also received a Peaches and Dreams cocktail, made with white rum, peach and lemon juice. Yum!!! They made me a lovely cappuccino, as well. I think this is a really fabulous spot for drinks and small plates, especially for Clarksville. It wasn't what I expected and I was pleasantly surprised. Definitely a bit pricey for this area, and for that reason I would probably only return for special occasions, but I had a really nice experience here. Five stars for the really nice time. We had a good dinner! The food was delicious. I feel like it's a 7.5 for Italian food and better than any other Italian food in town. The seating and service were a 5, unfortunately. The seats are uncomfortably high for dinner. We never got glasses to put the water we received in. We went to another table and grabbed a couple glasses. Our appetizer was good, but we had to ask for silverware and napkins later when our first entree arrived. I couldn't help but feel forgotten. I unfortunately couldn't find my license for the wine, but the server was kind enough to waive the requirement. I did appreciate that. Called a week in advance for a table for 7 on Mother's Day. Upon arrival the wait was minimal even with a reservation. No issue there with regard to a wait time. The issues came when we began to order food. On weekends they do a selective menu, I would assume to help speed up the service out of the kitchen and prevent them from making everything on the original menus especially on Mother's Day. We arrived at 1230 and here's how it went. At first it seemed to start off kinda slow with our server getting to our table. My mother in law ordered the burrata & strawberries which she said was really good and enough for her. My 15 &12 year olds ordered the $8 dark chocolate Belgian waffle one each. Which to their surprise wasn't the smallest waffle and fruit that left them unsatisfied. To put it in perspective the one waffle was smaller than an ego waffle. My 9 year old son ordered the $15 burrata & Parma ham pizza which was probably enough for someone of his age. However it was a $15 personal pan sized pizza. My wife submitted her order 3 separate times because each time she ordered the server went back to put it in and had to come back and say "sorry we're out of that". Finally she settled on the quiche and a side of bacon. The quiche looked to be enough for a brunch option which is the menu we were limited to however her bacon never came and we were there for an hour and a half. I ordered the Benedict over fried eggplant and was told sorry I couldn't as they were also out of that as well. So I had to settle for the hot honey chicken biscuit & the halloumi. The chicken biscuit wasn't horrible however literally just a 4oz chicken strip on the smallest buttermilk biscuit. The Halloumi was salty and 4 only small strips of fried cheese that came out in a pie plate My 7 year old ordered the Mac and cheese which for him may have been enough. This place may be great for a date night with you and your significant other to share everything on the menu if they have it in stock but it left far too much to be desired as a family establishment. Not to mention the manager seemed more worried about socializing with what appeared to be friends between their table and the bar for 30-45 min while we waited on our food to come out one extremely tiny dish at a time every 15-20 min. Our server could clearly see that we weren't pleased and she brought it up to the manager. He never came over to talk about or apologize for any issues that may have caused us to have a bad experience. He just had her remove $20 from the $120+ bill. After all the hype from the food network but I'm not sure how this establishment received best bite in Clarksville. You're better off spending the $120 across the street at Black Horse, you'd get way more food for your dollar especially in this economy. read more
