It is a bit off the way especially if you live in central London. I loved this shop for all the army/military gear it has and if I was still into my Am-Dram I would be here every week to steal new stock for costume. Now I didn't purchase anything here on my visit, because I am poor, but I did see some great items at reasonable prices. Like most vintage shops its got your mock/real furs and granny jumpers and tweed jackets. However it has some great choice pieces and lovely little bits and bobs.

They don't have a big range of clothing, and was nice to see that you don't have to rummage through stuff. The left side of the store was more elegant, more of the 1930s and 40s era. The clothes are pricey a dress could easily be £55 but the quality of the garment is well preserved. If I'm in Greenwich again, ill shall pop and who knows I might come away with something.

It used to be pretty great in here. I bought my first expensive pair of shoes in here the day I started uni. They might not fit anymore but they're still pretty. That was 6 years ago. Now the place is rubbish. Overpriced and really shoddy. Not just that but the shoes are ugly. Unless you really want a pair of red patent platform wedges? No, me niether. Everything is very over the top here. Its a small shop and the staff have a knack of making you feel uncomfortable if you're just looking. Which is horrible when there's four of them veen if the shop is empty. It's the kind of place I hate going into if I'm not feeling at my best. This makes shopping a bit rubbish. I pop in everytime I'm shopping in Greenwich, but someone please put a decent shoe store in the town. My feet are not happy.

The menswear section is particularly strong and dominates most of the store with very reasonable Burberry marino wool v-necks and check shirts for only £15, and a vast selection of tweed and wool suits priced from £65 to £100. Wool hats are beautifully displayed on mannequin heads, whilst smaller accessories such as cuff links and handkerchiefs are kept behind glass cabinets. The womenswear selection is smaller- with only a few small rails devoted to evening wear. What pieces they do have though, are exquisite- I tried on a delicate green, silk 1940s tea-dress which for £65 was an absolute bargain. There is however a very good selection of outerwear- there are some beautiful fake-fur coats for under £75 and some immaculate raincoats for under £80. Everything in the shop is beautifully presented and smart. There is no rummaging through rails of rubbish to find items, just a few well-chosen, classic pieces displayed beautifully.

I had a retro 50s design but the fabric was African. I loved the combination so I went in. The girl at the counter greeted me and was very nice and explained that they carry a couple of lines but that they are main stockist for a brand called Sika. Curiously enough the dress from the window display was from Sika. The prices are really cheap when you think you are buying a really original piece of clothing that looks as good as it fits.

So, I'd say its 2 stars for selection, but an additional star for being less packed. The women's clothes selection is quite small, and the shoe selection is downright sparse. There's a better selection of sunglasses in this location, and we found some nice childrens book sets for boys and girls. Generally, I'd say to do your core shopping at nearby H&M and Next, and then stop in to TK Maxx if you have a little more time and money to kill on the off chance you find something you like.
