The booze selection is pretty generic, but plentiful, and the snacks along the way are appreciated. The fajita lunch was solid and hit the spot after a morning on the water. Shoutout to Ricky Ricardo, truly the hostess with the mostest -- high energy, fun, and kept the vibe going all day. Luis was also fantastic, constantly checking in and somehow remembering everyone's names, which made the experience feel very personal and welcoming. They even slowed the boat down so we could watch whales, which was a highlight, and having a photographer on board was a nice touch to capture the day. The music on the ride home was a little outdated, but honestly... it just turned into a dance party anyway -- especially once the tequila shots started making the rounds. All in all, a great excursion with a fun crowd, attentive staff, and memorable moments. Easy 4 stars and a solid choice if you're looking for a lively day trip while in Puerto Vallarta.

I purchased an all-inclusive Mega Yacht Tour to a secluded beach via Viator. Prior to the event, I…read morereceived notice that the date needed to be moved due to bad weather. I agreed, but since the owner messaged me, I decided to confirm that the yacht pictured in the photos was the yacht I'd be going on. They responded, "rest assured, the yacht in the photos is the yacht you will be on". On the day of the event, we were given life jackets to get on a two story boat that had Chica Locca Tours written on it. I thought this boat would take us to another location where we would get on the yacht. Nope. We arrived at the secluded beach where there was no WiFi and no manager on site. I asked three different staff members about the yacht and was told: 1) there is no yacht, 2) the yacht is for a different tour, and 3) the yacht was undergoing maintenance. I asked to speak with the director, but he was no where to be found. They did provide drinks, food, and snacks. The water activities were included but no one was there to show you how to paddle board or kayak - just the equipment was available. The snorkel gear was placed in a large bin with no way to clean the items from other passengers using it. I was incredibly disappointed with this tour as I confirmed prior that a yacht would be available and I was leaving Mexico soon so I wanted to take some pictures of the tour for my clients. Upon arriving back to the pickup location, I went back to the office and asked to speak with the manager. The staff told me to write the same person on WhatsApp instead of talking to them. When I did that, the staff became incredibly rude so I decided to reach out to Viator since I purchased this tour not only as a client but also as an agent. Viator submitted my complaint and a request for a full refund. The tour operator denied my request with no further explanation. I then spent an hour with customer service, emailing records and screenshots of my text messages confirming a yacht should have been present. What I find incredibly disheartening is that after I submitted my complaint, the tour operator changed the name of the tour from Mega Yacht to Mega Catamaran and changed the photos that showed a yacht to the two story boat were were actually on. I provided this evidence to Viator who confirmed with their IT team that they did in fact update the tour listing when they denied my request for a refund, indicating that they did in fact lie and that move was purposely made to seem like they were in the right. WRONG. Needless to say, Viator processed my claim for a full refund and I will not be recommended this tour to any of my clients as it was not advertised correctly and they are now on my "not trustworthy" list. It's a shame because the staff were nice, incredibly friendly and attentive. But nonetheless, IT WAS NOT WHAT I PAID FOR, and had they told me it wasn't a yacht, I would have canceled the tour and went with another company. This is false advertising. I hope they learned their lesson.

The waves nearby did not look great in the morning so when we arrived they took us by boat to a nearby spot that was much better. They gave us quick and helpful instructions on the beach, brought us protective shirts for the water, and brought along snacks and water (and boards, of course). The spot could not have been better for complete beginners and intermediate surfers alike. The breaks were good, smooth, and relatively predictable but not so tame as to be boring. The water was warm and the area was not crowded (we went early in the day--i.e., 9:30 am--and were there in mid-September). I've posted a photo taken from a cliff above our surf spot. It really was perfect. We enjoyed it so much that a few of us went back out with them two days later. This time, we drove in our rental car to the same spot. Alex and company brought the boards in their truck. Afterwards, Alex Jr. also took us to a nearby spot for a quick sip of raicilla upon our asking. They also tipped us off on where to find good tacos in town and a fun dinner place outside of town. All around, this is a really fun crew who enjoy what they do and are very good at it. At the Puerto Vallarta airport, we walked past all the drivers with their signs until we exited the airport and was outside. Right outside, we found our name and Vallarta Vamanos representative. He double-checked our information, reminded us to pay the amount in cash, and offered us bottled water. Then, he directed us over to the side of the road where our driver would meet us. Alvaro was the one who picked us up and drove us over to Punta de Mita which is about 45 minutes away. He was friendly and told us about the surrounding area, like the new Vidanta World that is being built in Puerto Vallarta. He asked if we wanted to stop for some great seafood, there was no extra cost to make a little stop before we got to our destination. So we said sure, and he brought us to Bucerias and we ate at a nice restaurant where he said they go out to get fresh oysters. The oysters were huge! We enjoyed the meal and he sat with us and he told us some stories. The view was nice since it was sunset time. Afterwards, we went on our way again and he brought us to our hotel. He was super nice and friendly! Our ride back to the airport after a few days of vacation was also pleasant. Our driver was someone else and he was also professional and friendly.

We had five different staff members helping us across the three trips (a boat captain and assistant on each trip). Henri, JP, Zeekies... I forget some of the other staff members names, but they were all great. Two and three hour trips, they take you to the best breaks, and really helped guide us around the local breaks. One son is an experienced surfer, one is pretty much a novice, and I am kind of in between. They were great with all of us. Can't speak highly enough about them!
