Shoutout to Ricky Ricardo, truly the hostess with the mostest -- high energy, fun, and kept the vibe going all day. Luis was also fantastic, constantly checking in and somehow remembering everyone's names, which made the experience feel very personal and welcoming. They even slowed the boat down so we could watch whales, which was a highlight, and having a photographer on board was a nice touch to capture the day. The music on the ride home was a little outdated, but honestly... it just turned into a dance party anyway -- especially once the tequila shots started making the rounds. I loved that everyone had to wear a life jacket for the first 10 minutes of the ride as I was initially nervous about the ride. After the 10 minutes are up, we had the option of continuing to wear the life jacket or take it off. All the instructions they gave were in both English and Spanish. One of the highlights on the way there was the whale watching. We saw a couple of them and it was so cool because it's the very end of the season, so we won't be seeing them again for a few months. Once we got the the island, we had some really good chips and guacamole. There were a few different excursion options for an additional cost. such as hiking to the waterfall, going horseback riding, or driving ATVs. Not sure what the cost for those were. We enjoyed snorkeling in the ocean and swimming in the shallow pool with a bar attached for easy access. I highly recommend this tour. We definitely got our money's worth and more!

The waves nearby did not look great in the morning so when we arrived they took us by boat to a nearby spot that was much better. They gave us quick and helpful instructions on the beach, brought us protective shirts for the water, and brought along snacks and water (and boards, of course). The spot could not have been better for complete beginners and intermediate surfers alike. The breaks were good, smooth, and relatively predictable but not so tame as to be boring. The water was warm and the area was not crowded (we went early in the day--i.e., 9:30 am--and were there in mid-September). I've posted a photo taken from a cliff above our surf spot. It really was perfect. We enjoyed it so much that a few of us went back out with them two days later. This time, we drove in our rental car to the same spot. Alex and company brought the boards in their truck. Afterwards, Alex Jr. also took us to a nearby spot for a quick sip of raicilla upon our asking. They also tipped us off on where to find good tacos in town and a fun dinner place outside of town. All around, this is a really fun crew who enjoy what they do and are very good at it. I worked with Elme to book the reservation and he was always timely with email responses. When we met him on the morning of our trip he had two other members of his team with us and all of them were so personable and friendly. We set sail early and as we were on our way out to sea, we got our first catch. I had never fished before and Elme and his crew were incredibly kind and helpful with teaching me what to do. There are very few times when I felt the adrenaline that I did with catching my first fish. My boyfriend has been on many fishing charters and he had nothing but great things to say as well. I got sea sick and Elme was kind and patient. We were extremely successful on our trip as we caught a total of seven Dorado. At the end of our trip, Elme recommended Rocio's to us to take our fish and have them cook it for us to eat. We got it ceviche and grilled with garlic. Oh. My. Gosh. Was that amazing. The chef did an amazing job and our fish was prepped to perfection. There was something so incredibly satisfying to eat the fish that you caught.

Accion Tropical has many boards to choose from so you can leave your board at home and travel through the airport carefree. Accion Tropical is easy to find as they are right across the street from Si Senor restaurant on the main drag. I can't say enough good things about Accion Tropical for a rental house and Fox as a surf coach.

At the Puerto Vallarta airport, we walked past all the drivers with their signs until we exited the airport and was outside. Right outside, we found our name and Vallarta Vamanos representative. He double-checked our information, reminded us to pay the amount in cash, and offered us bottled water. Then, he directed us over to the side of the road where our driver would meet us. Alvaro was the one who picked us up and drove us over to Punta de Mita which is about 45 minutes away. He was friendly and told us about the surrounding area, like the new Vidanta World that is being built in Puerto Vallarta. He asked if we wanted to stop for some great seafood, there was no extra cost to make a little stop before we got to our destination. So we said sure, and he brought us to Bucerias and we ate at a nice restaurant where he said they go out to get fresh oysters. The oysters were huge! We enjoyed the meal and he sat with us and he told us some stories. The view was nice since it was sunset time. Afterwards, we went on our way again and he brought us to our hotel. He was super nice and friendly! Our ride back to the airport after a few days of vacation was also pleasant. Our driver was someone else and he was also professional and friendly.

One tip- my husband and 7-year old went on the zip lining tour and it is really more of an obstacle/ adventure course where good shoes are preferable (they had flip flops on!). They found it challenging but they did it! I'd suggest bringing water or climbing shoes, and maybe skip it if you aren't up for a hike. Ater a few hours at the beach and an authentic mexican lunch where waiters brought us drinks constantly no matter where we were, we headed back to port. We were back by 4pm - an ideal day in paradise, si!

We almost cancelled our trip due to the travel advisory and friends and family advising us not to go for safety reasonings. We had no issues on our trip and even travelled into town to do some glass shopping. Anyhow, I chose this company based off the good reviews and we wanted a trust worthy transportation company during this uncertainty. First off, I'm so glad I saved the pic of the directions on how to find them after baggage claim. Since it was our time in PV I didn't know what to expect at the airport. I can tell you that the shark tank with of scammers that don't work Vallarta will "pretend" they work for the company and will ask you for your name and try to mislead you that they are Vallarta transfers in the airport area where you see all the signs. I remember to meet with the people in the airport but my hubby and I almost fell for it cause they literally let us know that they were looking for us and worked for Vallarta transfers. Has actually called they said before you exit the airport. I can't believe we does. It seem so truthful. Read this! Do not talk to anyone in the airport for this company. They will say they work for the company and they don't and they will sign you up with a separate ticket. Those are scammers and should get arrested for this.!! I yelled at them to leave us alone! They are great liars and con-artists!! Ignore and BEWARE !! Exit airport and walk to left and cross the cross walk where you see the yellow stripes on side walk... you will than see a tall blue flag with "Vallarta Transfers" and a sign with your name. It was very nice to hear that we were at the right spot. That day was so crowded because it was a holiday weekend. And our driver had to wait an extra hour for us. Anyhow, it was very nice and relieved to see the right company and it was nice to be drinking a coronarita on the way to the resort. All the staff was very friendly and talkative. One person name that stood out was "Christopher". I remembered his name because my brother's name and he was very helpful giving us suggestions and telling us about the town. anyhow, the airport is 15 minutes from "Dreams" if anyone wants to know. We ended up doing the one-way pay instead of the round-trip pay. I guess we could've saved 30 bucks if we would've booked Uber XL on the way to the airport. We are promised that we would get beer on the way to the airport when we returned, please see the photo of the receipt. Then they emailed me and said sorry, we only do beer when we welcome you at the airport, but not when we drive you back on your departure. So that is why I give the four star review because in the email invoice they indicated they would give us beers both ways but it wasn't true.. It was $60-65 one way w/o tip. What I should've done was book Uber XL from resort to airport as it was giving me quotes for $17-23 one way without tip. We just had a ton of luggage that is why we booked it both ways. Ended up taking a Uber to town mid trip. It cost us $7 each way. We didn't have a bad experience. I Hope this review Will help you out on your next adventure. Yes we would use it again for one way only if we had less luggage. If You're traveling with no kids and less luggage and I would say go for the UberXL you will save money.
