Here are some important notes about this Transportation company.
The drivers are really nice and friendly. They got me to where I needed to go with no problems. There were just a few things that they really need to adjust.
RESERVATION PROCESS:
Making reservations with "Vallarta Vamonos" is a nightmare! They will never actually talk to you over the phone to make the reservations, instead they will text you after your missed call and book the entire reservation through text. Their communication is horrible, since the only way they will talk to you is through text, they will not respond back to you right away. You need to constantly reach out to them and follow up with them otherwise they will forget about you. It took me a week of texting back and forth to book transportation and get a confirmation email, which should have been taken care of in a day. They told me they would send me my itinerary at the end of the day and I never heard back from them. I had to text them and say "hello, were you still going to send me my itinerary" two days later and they said they got busy and would send it eventually. I'm happy to see that business is doing great for them but it seems that their customer service is now lacking. They should consider hiring a receptionist to handle all reservations that way they dont delay.
ARRIVING TO PUERTO VALLARTA:
After arriving to the puerto vallarta airport, I made my way to the front where all the drivers are holding signs with their clients names on it. I walked down the row and read every single name on the signs that each driver was holding and never saw my driver. I went back and forth reading each sign like three times and never saw my sign or driver. I then text the number of the company and said "Are you guys here? I am in the front of the airport" Then all of a sudden my driver (Miguel) appeared in the front, along with the row of drivers holding my sign. He then claimed that he was up their the whole time and didn't see me. Which I know is a lie because I read every sign and saw every driver and he was not there at all. I think he might have went back to his car and was waiting their in the AC since it was warm out and then when I texted the number, they must have called Miguel to see where he was and he quickly ran to the front with my sign but I did not get the welcome experience I was expecting by seeing my sign as soon as I arrived, instead I had to once again follow up with the team to see where they were. I shouldn't have to text the company to see where my driver is, if im paying for my driver to be in the front then I need to be welcomed immediately not searching for my driver who was probably in the car with AC. I believe Vallarta Vamonos has a partnership with another transportation company because Miguel wasnt the one who drove me to the hotel, he just welcomed me and then he had me get into another drivers car unrelated to Vallarta Vamonos, so im assume they give them a cut for helping them out. The driver I was with at the end, once he dropped me off at my hotel he said "I know your drive is already paid for and covered but if you want I would appreciate any tip you are willing to give me" I felt pressured to tip, which I already paid for the service so I shouldnt have to tip when its a paid service in advance. I assume its because this new driver wasn't part of vallarta vamonos and wanted to get a cut of money since my ride was already paid for. I just felt that was unprofessional.
DEPARTING PUERTO VALLARTA:
I scheduled to be picked up at 11am and my driver (Carlos) was late. He was really nice dont get me wrong but as far as the professionalism of the company, they were late to pick me up. Carlos just apologized for picking me up late but didnt give me a reason or anything, he just said "Im sorry" and that was it. We schedule pick up times to give you enough time to plan ahead and drive to my location with enough time to get their early and on time. Traffic is not an excuse, or you being busy because you can leave earlier and get to my hotel on time which is why we have these pick up times.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Just so you know, you are only offered one beverage when you arrive at puerto vallarta, its not unlimited, they do not have a cooler in the car so you can continue to get beverages. They have a cooler on the sidewalk and give you a drink before you get into the car and thats it. They give you one and then you get in the car. Also, when you are departing and leaving the city after your vacation, When they pick you up you are not offered any beverages, Drinks are ONLY offered when you arrive but not when you're leaving.
I gave the company a 3 star because their communication may have been terrible, the welcome sign and driver waiting in front may have not happened, my driver was also late at picking me up but they were nice and friendly and got me to where I needed to go and thats the only reason I gave them 3 stars but they definitely need to work read more
