Well starting my New Year's Day 2025 I just came from the Bloomingdale walk right after eating my big burrito for lunch walking 2.7 miles to and then from back here. I decided to treat myself to this Churro place since my neighbor was mentioning it was one of the best. It was good compared to most of the churro places by Jimenez grocery store for any of the Spanish own grocery store. My friend recommended to get the dozen but I'm not that hungry especially eating a Big burrito before I left for the Bloomingdale trail to burn calories on that. Service was very friendly it was a very busy cold New Year Day on a Wednesday. I had to drink hot chocolate and they have this chocolate drink or beverage called abuelita. I swear the flavored churros the texture and the sweetness of the churro especially the texture was not to solidified but it's nice that they had other flavors. Ambience felt like a hole in the wall versus being trendy or divvy. Other than that I would come back again when I get a chance especially for their milkshakes but it's too cold for a milkshake in the winter time especially walking outside from the Bloomingdale trail 5.4 miles back and forth one end on Ashland and Marshfield where it ends and then walking back to Ridgeland by the YMCA which is not too far from this place. Best churros around! Love that they're fresh and warm. Place wasn't cute to hang out at or anything but their churros are worth the visit! I do wish they didn't make them all hollow as not everyone likes filling in them. I would much rather have the full churro with the dough on the inside instead of having it missing. A group of us went to Xurro right after eating at Tacotlan and it was the perfect dessert to end any meal. I order the Churro sandwich and it had a warm Churro with perfectly cold high quality ice cream in the middle. Every bite seemed like the sandwich was getting better and better. If you haven't tried here yet, you are missing out. There are a few in the Chicagoland area, so I'm excited to try the others as well! Man, it's been so long since I had a churro. Luckily, I was in the neighborhood so I decided to drop by. The store is located on the corner right across the street from a school. I was able to find parking pretty easily right in front. Because of covid, they have a small window where you can order. All you have to do is ring the bell and you will be helped. My only complaint was that the ordering window is a bit too high. I ordered 2 orders of their churritos, which is basically 10 small churros with a choice of dipping sauce - chocolate, caramel, or strawberry. I chose both the chocolate and caramel sauce. I figured it would be more convenient ordering smaller ones than the big ones. Overall, amazing quality! They were so fresh and warm. Definitely hit the spot. Passed by this place and had to give it a try. There were already two parties there, and then had to wait a bit once getting up to the window before my order was taken. Between the time I ordered and receiving my churritos was only 5-10 minutes. There were actually more churritos than I was expected - 10 for $4. There are different toppings (sauces) you can get with them; I got chocolate, and it comes on the side for you to dip your churros in. These were some tasty churros; exactly what I expected based on my passed churro-eating experiences in San Diego (where there are arguably VERY good churros). Came for the churros, left because there's no indoor dining. We ordered the churro ice cream sandwich which was doughy and melted by the time we walked to our car. Utensils were not provided so we had to ask for them. We would give it a 3/5. The horchata on the other hand was delicious. I really enjoyed it, it was a lot for 4$. Hot churros cooked to order? Amazing. They also sell the churros by the dozen and you can mix and match flavors (plain or stuffed with strawberry, chocolate or cream cheese filling). All delicious! It's also very cheap; personally I think they could raise the price a bit - the dozen chorizos is like $12 bucks which seems like a steal ; ) I just want the business to stay open so I can keep getting high off that sweet, sweet cinnamon sugar! read more

A lot of people think churros just come plain but I always grew up eating the churros with filling so I was so exited that this place makes churros with filling. I ordered chocolate, strawberry, and cream cheese icing filled churros and they were all so yummy. Perfect small dessert after the big meal we had eaten. I didn't try anything else that night but I seen that they sell coffee and azteca tea, and ice cream & mangonadas . Next time I'm in town I'll be back to try that stuff. I drove 40 mins -- to and back from my house and when I finally checked my box I had gotten 2 strawberries and the rest were chocolate and vanilla. I called to let them know I had received the wrong order even though the box with my name on it was clearly labeled with my order. They wanted me to drive all the way back to give me my right order and tried to argue with me and blame me for it. While I love their churros, their customer service is horrible. read more

A simple concept with great execution - it was tasty and a little more affordable at ~$4-5. The funnel cake and churro were warm and fresh made. They seem to have a decent selection of ice creams and smoothies. Service was fast and friendly. One slightly awkward thing - the garbage is small and was basically full when we walked in. By the time we were done it already had a couple of items stacked on it over the top. I let them know and they were nice enough to tell us to just go ahead and leave our stuff on the table until they could change the garbage, but the took a couple of items out of the garbage and set them on the counter top as they were changing it. I'll give 5 stars to the churros. They are freshly made as you order. So, you have to wait about 5min. You won't regret the wait or the price because they are just amazing! This place is small, with a lot of options to choose from. I was a bit disappointed that they offered 3 or 4 different kinds of hot chocolate which is made from "chocolate Abuelita" and they did not have any to make. I was really thinking a churro with hot chocolate would be so good but they had no hot chocolate. As a business if you offer something as easy to make as hot chocolate you have to provide it. Damn, you can send someone to the nearest store and get it. I noticed there were two big food markets with in minutes from this place. So that gave me the impression that they don't care. I will come again just for the churros and with the hope they have chocolate abuelita. The place has tables and chairs to sit but does not have a garbage can. What's with that?
