It was fantastic seeing the kids have so much fun, burn some energy, and learn a few new tricks and skills. Mr & Mrs Howard and the instructors did a tremendous job and I am so happy/pleased the party went off without a hitch. I absolutely love this Taekwondo studio and how the owners are not only attentive/patient with the kids but want to take a moment to rave how this studio has built such a great thing for our community, the kids have a fun/safe space to learn new things, grow, and the families are super helpful and supportive of each other. I am so happy my kid has grown so much here and hoping for more opportunities to come. Thank you.!

He loves the program as well as my husband and I do too. The whole team is awesome. Mrs. Howard is very detailed and great at communicating everything to us about the program and upcoming schedule. Mr. Howard is an awesome teacher. He is so patient (more than I would ever be teaching kids) and knowledgeable of Martial Arts and training. His crew is also top notch. Mr. Ali and Mr. Bucholtz have been with the program since my son has started (1 1/2 years ago) and very dedicated to the classes they teach. Mr. Graffiths brings high energy to the class and the kids are very engaged when he teaches. We are so glad we continued with the program and new ownership. Thank you so much!

I have attended Park's Martial Arts for 21 years now and achieved the rank of 4th Dan - a TaeKwondo…read moreMaster, certified by the Kukkiwon, so has my son - he started 21 years ago at the age of 8. I have personally trained 8,000+ students during that time and I know everyone of them can easily defend themselves if they had to in any situation. I have attended 60+ Taekwondo competitions in the midwest and handed out thousands of trophies to winners of various events and Park's Martial Arts students take an inordinately large number of 1st Place wins. Grandmaster Tae Hyen Park is an 8th degree, 8th Dan, Black Belt certified by the Kukkiwon in Korea and teaches every day of the work week at his two schools in St. Louis. Some of Grandmaster Park's students have started their own schools. In those 21 years at Parks I have watched 10+ Martial Arts schools in the area go out of business - you do not want to start your training at a school that hasn't been in business at least 10 years. You want to stay with the same Grandmaster during all of your training. Grandmaster Park has promoted 10 Master Instructors who have trained with him for at least 15 years each; each started as a white-belt at his schools. Students at Parks range from 5 year olds to 70 year olds - there are specific kids classes that are fun for the kids while they learn how to defend themselves. There are adults only classes and full contact heavy duty classes taught only by Grandmaster Park. About 20% of our students are part of a family unit, brothers and sister, mom and dad and even grandpa. Taekwondo is a sport that the entire family can have fun learning as the kids grow up. Grandmaster Park is one of just a handful of Grandmasters in America that can train you from a white-belt to a 4th degree black belt - a Master Instructor. Grandmaster Park's curriculum is 100% identical to that taught at the Kukkiwon in Korea - the only difference is that English is the primary language here instead of Korean. So if you want to be trained by a Korean Grandmaster who has built two thriving schools I invite you to drop by one of his schools and see for yourself - don't just accept rumors on the internet - it takes just a few minutes to find out that Taekwondo taught by Grandmaster Park can change your life forever. I started here about 11 years ago when my 2 boys were little, we took some time off and then came back about 3 years ago-am I glad we did! We all got our 1st degree black belts 2 years ago, and my 17 year old son and I just got our 2d degree. It's great to have something that a 53 year old mom can still do with her 17 year old son. It has been an inspiration for me to watch him grow from a little boy beginner to now being a full instructor. That's one thing I really like about Park's Martial Arts, it's for almost anyone. Students from little kids to teenagers to those just out of college to parents are all able to reach their full abilities at this school. Special needs kids also take classes. Even though there are many different abilities, everyone can get a great workout. And, no matter what ability you have, discipline and respect are expected from everyone.

The chicken could have been roasted, and the brisket was inconsistent with some tender pieces next to extremely tough, overcooked pieces. Sides also varied. A side of creamy coleslaw started fine, but ended with a heavy mayonnaise taste by the bottom of the container. The stand outside was crispy, fried okra. Service was attentive and pricing was fair. A real chef or BBQ enthusiast can tell the difference. We ordered 2 lbs of rib tips, two boxes of pulled pork mixed with brisket, fried okra, and potato casserole. I'll start with the positives: the okra was fried perfectly -- nice and crisp -- and the potato casserole truly made me smile. It tasted exactly like the one my mother makes for Thanksgiving and Christmas every year, so that was a sweet surprise. However, the rest of the experience was just average at best. The rib tips had a good flavor but were extremely dry, and they didn't seem grilled at all -- more like they were baked, just as other reviews mentioned prior. Long time customer's can also tell the difference because people mentioned the brisket and chicken being baked also .. hence why the food is greasy and dry. It's obvious. The pulled pork mixed with brisket honestly tasted like the Jack Daniel's microwaveable pulled pork from the grocery store -- not something I expect when paying restaurant prices. Potion size for the potato casserole was small. As for the garlic bread, it was just okay -- not memorable. Tastes nothing like garlic. Overall, it was an underwhelming experience. I wanted to love it, but there are too many better BBQ spots in St. Louis to roll the dice again here.
