I was pleased with my initial contact with Xtreme Iron Work. I contracted with them do some wrought iron railing around a small backyard deck as well as 2 side yard gates. The people were friendly and responsive. The installation went well. The railing had a couple of flaws I didn't notice until later, but was going to give them a pass on those. The gates looked nice (white painted boards with black wrought iron trim). I was satisfied until 2 days later when I notice lots of yellow areas bleeding through the white paint on both sides of both gates. I called to inform them of the problem and was asked to send a picture, which I did. At the 2-week mark, when I received no response, I decided to repaint them myself. Now after primer and paint to match my house, (not to mention several hours work) they look great!! But I will never order anything from them again or recommend them. read more

Since we're in a tight space, they arranged for a crane to lift the stairway over our roof and onto our patio deck. Next they installed a new powder-coated wrought-iron railing ontp our patio deck, replacing a rotted board, again in tight quarters! They all worked together and accomplished the installation. I am very happy about my new stairs and iron railing that the Extreme Iron Work recently completed in my living room. The state of art iron craft workmanship exceeded my expectations. The beautifully constructed stairs and railings gives my house a face make up. Each of the 12 workers has their own special skills from carpentry, iron wrought to taint and painting. The project was scheduled for 6 weeks along with changing the up stair carpet to vinyl wood.flooring. They finished the job in 5 weeks. They showed up on time every day and put their heart into the work. Luis, the owner, frequently came to the work site to oversee the work. The contract price is reasonable as the company has their own iron shop and skilled workers to design and make any style of iron railings. I was looking to demo a wall and install wrought iron railing in its place. Also, replace my old wood stair railing with a cleaner wrought iron railing. He promised that he would not accept payment until I was 100% satisfied with his work. I felt very confident with his sincere words, so I accepted his job offer. He started work as promised, with only a few days missed due to communication issues His crew that worked at my house were very polite, courteous and mindful in keeping the noise and dust to a minimum. The project was completed as promised and true to his word, Luis asked If there were any details that needed attention. I called back a few times to address some minor paint issues, he responded quickly and took care of the problem. Awful communication before, during, and after project completion. None of what was promised was done. Craftsmanship was by far the worse I've seen. Two days after installation rust appeared almost on every single panel. So annoyed and disappointed with this company. I had other projects in mind not hiring this guy for sure. Then I tried numerous times to make contact the following week: email, text, voice-mail, but I was ghosted!! It was a pretty big job I wanted to approve, so I couldn't figure out why this small business would turn down the work, especially during this time of pandemic. We needed a simple but strong pair of railings for our front porch; a contractor who had done comparable railings had gone out of business, so we were familiar with the product and installation. This is a small but capable company; they have hundreds of examples of work far more elaborate than ours. My first concern, that they only made fancy and very costly designs, was satisfied when I saw their example #235 online. Their CEO came to our home less than a week after my first call. We discussed what we wanted, and in the process he suggested something that was esthetically much better by adding a curve to one of the two railings shown on the example. To assure accurate manufacturing, two of their men came out to make a precise curve template 4 days later. Our installation date was 9 days after that. Two men installed our railings in just over an hour. Not a bit of adjustment was necessary, their white powder-coated paint finish is perfect, they look great and are plenty strong. The pricing was fair based on the previous contractor's work. I'd hire Xtreme Iron Works again. They are a small company that works all over Los Angeles and Orange Counties, so be prepared to cut them some slack on arrival times. They never missed a day they promised. read more
