Enrolling my daughter here was one of the biggest regrets I've had as a parent. What was supposed to be a fun, confidence-building experience quickly turned into something that hurt her deeply. From day one, it was obvious that the owner cared more about money than the kids. Everything had a price tag!! The owner had her 'favorited' and if you weren't one of her 'chosen' ones, the negative and hurtful comments were so destructive!! My daughter, who once loved cheer and had such a bright, enthusiastic spirit, started coming home in tears. She felt like she was never good enough, constantly compared to others, ignored in favor of "favorites," and made to feel like she didn't belong. The coaches did the best they could but their hands were tied by an owner who micromanaged and had such a negative and destructive effect on everyone. No child should have to question their worth over a sport that's supposed to lift them up. This place didn't just fail to build confidence -- it chipped away at it, day by day. I pulled her out, and it's taken months to rebuild her self-esteem. Please think twice before putting your child through this. They deserve better.

I found Dominic through Yelp and I am so glad that we took the chance to receive lessons from him. Dominic is very funny, charismatic and most importantly, as an instructor, is very patient. At the time I lived in Seattle and my then fiance lived in Vancouver but it was very easy to book with Dominic. We had about 10 lessons spread over 3-4 months and he helped us choreograph a dance routine that could be easily taught to two complete novices but that appeared quite complexed. When we viewed the video of us dancing our first song, I could barely believe how smooth we looked while dancing. I highly recommend Dominic. If you've never danced before, do not fear, he is the perfect instructor. There were times that he gave us glimpses of what he could really do and his long career of teaching and competing are sure to be able to assist dancers of any level reach a higher standard.

I became a student at CSD when I was a teenager and the previous studio I danced at closed down.
