I scheduled an appointment for my granddaughter who is 15 for 3:15pm for Lemonade Braids. The…read moreappointment was confirmed. On the day of the appointment at 2:39pm, I received a text message to bring her at 4:30pm instead of 3:15 to which I agreed. She arrived at the scheduled time. However, when I text my granddaughter to check in, they still had not started her hair, and by this time it was 5:45pm. She texted me back and they got started about 2 minutes later. By 6:55pm, only about 4 braids had been completed on the back. At 7:55pm, they were ready to do the top. I am thinking okay, should not be long now. Went to the shop around 8:10pm(shop closes at 6pm). Still working on the top. The person working on her hair seemed to be going a bit slow. I stayed for another 15 minutes, informed her I will be back. Checking in every hour, every hour, every hour. Now comes 11:26pm and the braider is just now braiding the hair all the way down. Mind you, these are butt length braids, but they braiding stopped top of butt and the rest were curly down, not braided to the bottom of butt. Finally, at around 11:45pm, it was finished. For 7 HOURS, my granddaughter was there. The charge was $180.00. They said they took off $40, for the extra length. I have taken my granddaughters to Marley's before and have never had this issue. It was always done timely with no issues. The finished product could also have been better. Her hair looks average and not as good as it should be. I don't know if this was a one off, but I am now having second thoughts about returning knowing this may happen again. 7 hours for Lemonade Braids is unacceptable. No comment on Vibe

Having recently relocated to Texas after living in California for 43 years, I searched long and…read morehard for a talented hairstylist specializing in short hair cuts. I had worn my hair long since childhood until a few years ago when I found a short pixie cut more manageable for my busy schedule. My diligent online search led me to B. Lauren Salon and its owner, Nikki Binnion. To my surprise, I found what I was seeking and much more. The website introduction was beautifully designed and user-friendly and I could see immediately that someone had put a tremendous amount of thought into its layout. Then, upon meeting Nikki, my immediate sense of her was that she was professional and knowledgeable and skilled in her craft. She had obviously put a lot of thought into her clients' needs and was making every effort to provide personal one-on-one services. Most hair salons serving exclusively Black clientele have earned reputations of extended waits and overbooking delays. Such is not the case with B. Lauren Salon. The service is personal and highly professional. From the moment she started servicing my hair, I could tell that Nikki has earned all the accolades posted about her. She began by asking pertinent questions about my previous hair care routine and making helpful recommendations. The time under her care was personal and individualized and we were in the salon alone. The finished product was even more satisfactory than I had expected and more than I actually hoped for. I am truly happy to have found her and wholeheartedly sing the well-deserved praises of Nikki Binnion and B. Lauren Salon, and I recommend her without hesitation.

Update 6/6/18 What a difference a year made! I called in today to inquire about scheduling an…read moreappointment to tone my hair. It was supposed to be an easy in and out procedure. I explained I had just reinstalled my extensions and have an important booking for a commercial tomorrow with one of the worlds most known cell phone providers. I had my consultation with Bethany -bless her heart- she is so sweet- and she examined my hair, explained what we would do easy as pie. After she applied the toner she relayed me to Another stylist washed my hair clean of the toner and well, something else. She somehow managed to matt my extensions on the left side of head. At first the third stylist who was in charge of drying my hair tried her best to get to knots out and I helped out. We managed to get some of the extensions untangled but that left spot was unbelievable guys, please look at the picture. The lady that washed my hair came over and was using the de tangling brush so roughly that she pulled my scalp multiple occasions and I put my hand to my scalp to try to avoid the pain of all the pulling - she didn't care. She kept doing it. I told her that I didn't want to be negative but i really didn't believe that we could realistically save my extensions. Then the owner came over and tried to untangle it for 15 min. Horrible. Never once was she apologetic about it. In the contrary, she laughed at various points during her visit. I was crying at this point and told her I just feel so much pressure and I'm so upset. She finally came up with the brilliant idea of taking it off which sounded fine to me until she brought out a RAZOR BLADE and made cuts on The extension weft. I'm 100% that there's a lot of my hair in the extensions she cut. She then walked away and left miss bailey who was also super nice during this whole situation to blow dry my hair. The owner returned with glue in extensions and tape in. I told her I didn't want that method because it's more damaging and she left. She didn't even offer an apology or say, ok well I'm truly sorry and embarrassed this happened please let me know how much your extensions cost etc etc NOTHING. She WALKED OFF and never returned. . I asked what the plan was and no one ever came back to my chair. Finally I got up and asked what was going on and the lady at the front said "we're not charging you the service " EXCUSE ME? At this point guys honestly I had a nervous breakdown. I screamed at her demanding my money for my extensions and the installment. These extensions are over more than $1000+ and from my visit to Prime Hair Concepts (READ REVIEWS) and my reinstallment was at Endless extensions here in Dallas. They flat out said I was overreacting and they threatened me, they kicked me out of their business and called the cops. I refused to leave until the officers arrived and explain the situation to them the officer asked me "but did you tell them you were going to kill them or throw punches?" NO. I told them to please check the cameras. I explained who I am, they checked my license and my plates. I yelled. Yes. It was out of control. Yes. Do I regret it? Yes. But people: 3 officers where dispatched to the salon for me for demanding my money. They pulled my hair. They pulled it hard and hurt my scalp. They threw me a check for $750 that im scared will be stopped and i told the officers that as well they took a note to that added it to the police report and recommended to take a picture of it. That amount Barely covers the hair and the re installment, obviously not the flights or hotel back in to Los Ángeles. I This salon is trash for handling the situation this way and for humiliating me for the damage they caused. Not just my hair but emotionally and mentally. - update on 6/7/18 Followed up with a doctor about what happened to me yesterday and why i yelled at the top of my lungs. These horrible people caused me to go into a panic attack after being kicked out, laughed at and hurt my head. I cried silently and consistently for more than an hour without anyone being nice or apologetic about it, while they pulled and tugged ROUGHLY on my scalp. When I was told they just wouldn't charge me for the service I went into hysteria. How sad that someone can treat people worse than dogs and get away with it. I plan to share this with everyone possible, Including my fan base. --- My Mom had rotator cuff surgery and is in recovery. She cannot wash her hair and has had a really hard time letting me help her with it. I called Goldwaves to see if I had any luck for a same day Shampoo and Blow out and they took care of us with so much kindness and pampering. It makes me so happy to recommend not only great quality hair services but SUPERIOR customer service from initial booking phone call to checkout. Thank you!

I was greeted well and explained very throughly what to expect and how to go about it. Front desk definitely respectful, friendly and kind. My hairstylist was nothing else but amazing too! I had told her what I was going for for going for and she followed up with more questions precise questions very detailed questions on how I wanted to get my hair dyed which I deeply and truly appreciated as it helped get a better understanding not of what I wanted but also to get to know my own hair better as well as the different ways I could style it. Throughout the session my hair stylist I could see how she would work on my hair with a lot of excitement, passion, care, focus, precision and would be very cautious and give me feedback through the process and even asked questions before she did something. She really did help me with her best interest at heart for me as it not only showed with the end result but also throughout the process. She even styled it at the end in a way that was so perfect and hadn't been used too that I not only was blown away but I figured out away to style it in the exact same way she did then. Quite the transformation and just a very special moment for me and it just overall really did mean the world to me and can't thank my hair stylist enough! To put it simply it's almost like she cared more about my own hair than I did and helped make my dream come true. Do highly recommend.
