Get the coupon off their site $15 off. It took less than 5 minutes and never left my car.

Very fast, kind of expensive. All in all a good experience when you want to get it done with.

Got a smog test (which didn't pass) am not sure why because smogged it a year ago just fine but the technician couldn't even tell me why because he was unsure nor did he even care to try. Although it was fast service, the technician Had a terrible attitude the second I pulled up, and kept the crap attitude all the way through. Must be an entry level job where they just take anyone I guess. Went to another location in which they were able to tell me exactly why it didn't pass (a simple sensor) so I recommend avoiding this place read more

Great service, David! Very professional, very nice, great attitude. It was so quick and easy, we didn't even step out of the car. Highly recommended Xpress Smog and Test! read more

Service Requested: Smog Check Price: $60 - $100 (Not worth it!) The absolute worst experience I've ever had getting a smog. I came here because of the decent reviews, but if this is the person representing the company, I will never step foot here again. If I had known this was the level of "service" they provide, I would have gone to any other shop in town. The technician who attended to me was beyond unprofessional. We are literally right next door to Oil Changers, so it's naturally loud with air tools and engines. He knows this, yet he chose to mumble his words under his breath. When I naturally couldn't hear him and asked for a simple repeat, he suddenly found his "big voice" and started yelling at me. It's pathetic that a grown man has to resort to shouting because he can't give clear, professional instructions the first time. Even worse was the complete lack of respect for my property. Every single time he opened my door, he slammed it with so much force I thought he was trying to rip it off the hinges. Like dude, if you hate your job that much, why are you even there? If you can't represent a company with basic customer service, why work in a place where that is exactly what's expected? I work in hospitality, so I know firsthand that being kind and providing a great experience isn't that hard. I wasn't a difficult customer; I came in for a simple service that you're trained to do. I even paid for the service without complaining despite the garbage attitude. Honestly, I should have given him a taste of his own medicine, but I have more class than that. Xpress Smog: Do better. For the price I paid, the service was absolutely not worth the headache. This guy is single-handedly driving customers away. Pro-tip: If you want amazing service, fast work, and actual respect for your vehicle, go to Smog 4Less. I go to those guys every year and I deeply regret the mistake of trying this place. I won't be back. read more

They had a coupon online that made me choose this place. It's near DMV which is also very convenient. You can stay in the car while they do the testing. It's about 20 minutes of testing. The staff if super friendly and informative. They didn't try to do anything but give me the service I asked for. Nice to find places where it's honestly a good service. Smog was done as expected. They sent in the paperwork to dmv and I was done. Value was comparable to other places. But I do recommend this place as it's easy breezy. Good deal. read more

Wow! When I say fast and efficient service, it was done before I thought we started. The person who helped me was so kind and welcoming. I would highly recommend coming here. You can stay in your car for the service which is so convenient, and again it was so fast. They provide you with the certificate, and it also gets sent directly to DMV. That is probably standard, but I'm not sure. The line to the place is the far left lane, so just make sure you pay attention to that. The other lanes are for oil changes. Would definitely recommend. read more

Excellent service. Stayed in my car. It was quicker than a car wash. Friendly and inexpensive.

I don't usually leave 5 star reviews as I feel that requires extraordinary service as well as the product. Today I will leave one. The technician greeted me courteously, guided me in to where I needed to have my car and gave me clear instructions, before during and after the smog test. The test took all of maybe 5 minutes. He informed me the test result had been provided to the DMV and gave me my copy of the test result and certificate, and away I went. Was able to use a coupon that they had in their website. Very good price and excellent service = 5 stars! read more

Great job. Very knowledgeable and they were very fast. They also have a five dollar off coupon.

Clean facility. I was ther about 15 minutes or less. The technician was courteous and polite.

Fast! Friendly! And a great value! Thats what you get here if your car needs a smog check. And when I mean fast it took about 15 minutes. And the whole time I stayed in my car, so convenient! Make sure to get a coupon from their website before you come here, it takes a good amount off. See you again in 2 years Xpress Smog Check! read more

Xpress Smog and Test Only - Getting smog done - Smog Check Stations Near Me - Ventura, California

Amazing and fast place! I came here after I went to smog 4 less and the guy told me I wouldn't pass smog before even running the computer--after I had waited 35 minutes in line. It was a joke. So I drove directly over here, had no wait time, and passed my smog in about 7 minutes. Everything was super fast and the people were very respectful. This place is a little more expensive than smog 4 less, but it's worth the 65 bucks! read more

Quick and easy. Very respectful. Good prices. Don't even have to get out of your car. My go to spot for my smogging my Tacoma.

This was the most absolute fast smog Id ever witnessed. Kaden at xpress smog had me in n out of there in like 5 mins. I stayed in the car and he was able to smog sooo quickly. I will only go here for my future smog test. Amazing job thank you read more

Excellent customer service! This was the easiest and most efficient place I've been for a smog Check. I was there maybe 30 minutes and I didn't even have to get out of my car. I highly recommend Xpress Smog Check! read more

This is definitely a place where I will be bringing all of my vehicles to when they need a smog check. Here is what I liked: - I didn't have to leave my car - The technician was polite and professional - The whole test took 10 minutes - And there were no hidden fees, prices were just as advertised. Exactly what you would expect from a professional service facility! read more

Quick, friendly service. I was in and out and didn't even have to get out of my car. There was another local place that was $10 cheaper, but the guy who answered was rude. I'll gladly pay the extra $10 for good customer service. read more

Easiest smog check I've ever done in my life. Didn't even have to get out of the car. Just go here.

I had inquired after my smog inspection as to where to find their posted quotes per BAR protocol and was told i already signed the paper (wrong answer!) ...so here we go. I hope this goes as a lesson for how to do business right. California smog inspections typically run 30$-60$. I chose this location in Ventura on Telephone because i found a 15$ off coupon. Apparently because of this they will jack up your rates and write the invoice so illegibly that you have to communicate with them about what they wrote to find their actual quoted value on the ticket (I will post a photo of this down below). In California this is a contractual grey area. I ended up having to pay them 51.50$ despite having a 15$ off coupon, with them having no interest in answering their reasoning for these prices. They also misplaced my registration renewal form so I have to wait in line at the DMV instead of using the fast-kiosk. Consequentially I have already spoken to the Bureau of Automotive Repair and will be sending them the receipts after I write this. I was told a Field Agent will be contacting me in several days which I will inform them that a full audit and investigation is necessary. it did not have to go this way but seeing as to whom i'm dealing with it may be the only way to get through to this business. I will be following up soon. -Andrea read more

Went today to get a Smog check. I didn't catch the bearded man's name but he was very polite and professional. I know I could have gotten a smog somewhere for cheaper like $40 but this place offers a $15 off coupon which brings the total smog price to $51.50 out the door. For me I'll pay $10 more for the convenience and comfort of staying in my car and the speediness. The guy was so fast, he was hustling, even though no one was behind me . Total time took maybe 10 minutes while I sat in my car on my heated seat. I would highly recommend to anyone. I am grateful for this type of service and to not have to wait in some dingy chair and wait 30 min for a smog like I have had to do in the past . Great experience !! read more

Super easy and fast, was able to just sit in the truck while they did the test. Great $15 discount coupon, this will be my go-to for Smog Tests now. read more

Took my 2012 Porsche in today. In and out in about 10 minutes. One stop shop for smog and it's not the place I'll be taking all my cars to.

Done in less than 10minutes on a Saturday morning and didn't have to leave the comfort of my car. Don't forget to show them the coupon and pay cash for an additional savings. read more

This is my first time visiting an express smog and testing site. My registration is due in two days. This was a one stop shop. I was able to have my smog test performed by a very efficient and kind gentleman named David. He was helpful and caring and I passed the smog test .I also did an oil change and cabin filter change. I had Juan perform my oil change, and he was totally professional, very kind and very clear. Even though I live 10 miles away, I will travel here again next time. Good job guys. read more

The guy was so awesome and nice. I didn't pass at first and he told me how to fix the issue. I came back and passed! I am really happy and I appreciate the great customer service. I paid $50 with a coupon. read more

The website promises "We Smog Test all Vehicle! we have the equipment and the know-how to perform your smog test. We test all types of vehicles, cars, trucks, vans, SUV's, motor homes, limousines and commercial vehicles. We are STAR Certified Test Only Station and offer smog check, smog test for all vehicles." However, when I went to get my 1993 f-150 smogged they admitted this was false advertisement and they only test 1996 or newwer vehicles. Beware of these liars who perpetuate fraudulent information for capital gain and to waste the time of their potential customers. read more

Super efficient -- their smog test process lets you stay in the car depending on your vehicle age/type. You just drive up to the area under the smog test banner, and the smog test technician will guide you through the process. I have to say my technician, David, made the process efficient and painless, and I will definitely come back here for future smog checks if I still live in the area. For me, this process required handing over the DMV notice with the smog test notation, which was later returned to me, and then reading out the odometer value. With my car in park and the engine still on, my front driver's side door was opened so the technician could scan the VIN and hook a cable up to my vehicle OBDII for the test. Then my front driver's side door was closed, and the technician continued his inspection and the rest of the test. Once the test was complete, I was handed an invoice, paid cash (check for coupons before you get here), and was presented a printed copy of the test result while also told that the certificate would be transmitted electronically to the DMV. Since I had no vehicles in line ahead of me, the whole process took less than 7 minutes. read more

This is a late review (sorry) but I was there at the beginning of March 2023 and was surprised to find they were under new ownership/management. Super fast. Super nice. Super clean. Super easy. Just super. Only thing is if you have a big vehicle they have to come back the way you entered which can be inconvenient if you have cars behind you waiting. Hey everybody, if your car needs a smog check, I strongly encourage you NOT to go to Xpress Smog and Test (Connected to Xpress Lube, right next to Subway and America's Tire) My car has NEVER failed a test, and this place failed me TWICE! After the second fail I told him I that wasn't going to pay, but instead take my car directly to Auto Masters to pass my smog and show him... and guess what? It passed :) Thanks for nothing, Xpress Smog and Test read more
