Good morning everyone. I just want to share with you one of the most precious, kind and fun…read moreexperiences I've had in a long time. I went to SABA Beauty School yesterday for a haircut. My 'after cancer' hair had grown out......different color, different texture and different lengths!?!? I wanted to wear it like I used to......but couldn't really explain? I brought magazine pictures, but they were different hair cutting styles and I was confusing them. I started this friendship when I first walked in and met Henry. I immediately liked him and his kindness. He is an assistant administrator. He introduced me to Roya, who would wash and cut my hair. Before it was over I had 5 women who were part of the hair cut! Roya's boss, Tammy, did most of the cutting once they found out what I was trying to say. They pampered me, we laughed and it was so much fun and just what I needed. I felt like the old "Queen for a Day". The women that helped and supported Tammy and Roya were Nancy, Sarah, and Parz. I will be going back again and again! These wonderful women, and Henry, are really special, kind and caring.........hoping "as the world turns" we can all experience this kind of caring. Thank you, Marilyn Pitts

Mrs. Olivia is the instructor she is nice, as well she taught me several things, I liked the way she would do hands on practice and pretend as if we were in the hands on exam like before it was just the written test. I also liked how she would challenge us by doing fun competitions, she also brought people to show us different and new things all in the beauty industry. I would say that the instructors there are great nice, patient, helpful, sweet and supportive. Teachers are great even Mrs.Tara was helpful when asked anything related to esthetician. The owner, just don't get on her bad side. She is almost never there so you won't really have to deal with her. Be prepared to buy lots of items out of pocket because the kit does not include everything needed. For example, gloves, foils, lightener, nail tips, waxing products etc..

I'm in the English manicurist course on a Full Time M-F 40 hrs a week for a total of 400 hours…read morecourse. I have zero knowledge and background in the nail industry before this course. I'm only taking this to have options in my career. With that said I am now 1 month into my course and here is my honest review. During my initial inquiry of the school I was skeptical and even on my first day of class. Introductions and explanations were limited Now after a month I'm learning a lot and as someone else said, "it's self paced". From 9am-12pm it's theory/lecture. 12-1230 is lunch. 12:30-5:30 is our "practicals" where we will get demos from the instructor and we will practice it for the rest of the day. Btw you will have to clock in and out like work with regular 15 mins breaks. I personally do prefer self paced and the instructor is always available when needed coz all students are at different skill levels. Staff- Miss Cindy and her front office staffs are all kind and caring. They are very supportive and patient with everyone and for me helps me learn without feeling pressured or second guessing myself. Miss Cindy is full of knowledge and experience from my observation. Even though she isn't an instructor here, she has all the knowledge and patient to share with students. I've personally experienced her instruction and I was extremely impressed. Miss Nancy, our instructor, is a very smart woman. She teaches us by the book to prep for exam and I am 100% confident in her to help me pass the state board. She would explain real life "salon" situations as well when needed. She is very informative and patient with each of us. Students-as a class we enjoy each other. When I first started the students showed me around so I always try to show the new students around also, since day 1 you will be scratching your head a lot. Overall I will say I didn't expect to give this place a high rating but I have complete trust in the school/staffs guidance to succeed in this industry. Just remember these 2 things...1-you get what you pay for (supplies can be limited for practicing) but I made the decision to attend this school for the price compared to other schools so for me I can't complain about that. Anything I need I buy and use for myself. 2-you will get out what you put in. Meaning it's self paced. So if you follow along and put in the effort you will succeed and imo one can easily slack off since "practical" portions are self paced. I highly recommend this place!!! Good luck and just have fun. And I'm grateful to all the staffs.

I've had the opportunity to visit this campus several times throughout my Godson's college journey…read more-- from freshman orientation and move-in day to family events and finally graduation -- and every single experience has been exceptional. From the very beginning, the school created a welcoming, organized, and supportive environment that made both students and families feel comfortable and confident. During freshman orientation, the staff and student ambassadors were incredibly friendly, patient, and informative. They went out of their way to answer questions, give directions, and make sure everyone understood the process. Move-in day was surprisingly smooth and well coordinated, with plenty of staff and student volunteers available to help students and families transition into campus life with ease. You could immediately tell there was a strong sense of community and pride throughout the campus. Over the years, each visit reinforced the impression that this school truly cares about its students and their success. The campus was always clean, organized, and welcoming, and the staff consistently demonstrated professionalism and kindness. Most importantly, my Godson always felt supported academically and personally during his time here, which meant a lot to our entire family. Graduation day was the perfect reflection of everything we experienced throughout his college years. Despite the large crowd and busy atmosphere, the ceremony was extremely well organized and efficient. Staff members and student volunteers guided guests every step of the way, helping with seating, directions, parking, and crowd flow while maintaining a positive and celebratory atmosphere. The event felt special, memorable, and thoughtfully planned. Watching my Godson walk across the stage was an emotional and proud moment for our family, and I truly appreciate the role this school played in helping him grow into the successful young man he is today. Thank you to the faculty, staff, and students who helped make his college experience such a positive one. I would absolutely recommend this campus to any student looking for a supportive, organized, and welcoming college environment.

There is a giant park 8 minutes away from campus that is perfect for a picnic, a stroll, or an exercise. I like that this school has more school spirit than some others and they try really hard to spread that Titan Pride with beginning of the semester campus events. Parking has never been a situation for me because of how early my classes were; however, it does get hectic around noon. My experience with the financial aid office as okay. They aren't the fastest and don't even try to call them. They're too busy helping out people in person. You are better off driving back to campus in-person to get assistance with any financial aid problems, which is not ideal if you live 30+ minutes away.

My teacher was Ms. Asmi who is at the beautiful campus in Fullerton. I liked the fact that Ms. Asmi is fair with the students and is consistant in the rules of what she expects of each student so that everyone feels equal. Not only does she give individual attention to students but she also encourages a team effort. In my experience with Ms. Asmi everyone got along great! We had fun learning and we worked hard so that we were prepared to pass the State Board Test as well as service clients who came to the school in a professional manner. She goes through the book chapter by chapter and points out everything that could be asked on the State Board test so you can highlight it. (I knew all the answers for the written test at state board, except for 3!) Ms. Asmi is easy to follow when training the students on the different procedures and you feel confident and ready to be a qualified estitician when you graduate. I have had many facials from fancy spa's that cost $120.00 and I cannot tell the difference between their facial and the ones Ms. Asmi teaches! At the salon they use quality facial products from Dermalogica and Murrad which I recieved a certificate for knowing all the different facial techniques. To pass the Practical Test for State Board Ms. Asmi has posted up on YouTube 10 short videos demonstrating the different procedures that you will need to perform and how to do it. All I did was study these video's, take notes and I passed! You can find the videos on YouTube my searching for Ms Asmi, James Albert School. For the State Board Practical Test you will need to rent a kit. I rented mine from Farah's Smart Rental Kit in Irvine, CA. The kit was so well organized and I know that this played a big part in my passing the Practical Test. I did look at the other Kit Companies and it was so confusing. She was the same price as the other Kit Companies and gave me a free white jacket. 949.231.2628 - Ms. Asmi has her phone number! There are different fun contests that Ms. Asmi does using the different techniques we learn such as Makeup Contests. We had several guest speakers that came to the school on different subjects that was interesting. We also participated in the Anaheim Parade hat Ms. Asmi organized where James Albert (Yea! There is a REAL James Albert!) recieved an award from the President of the United States for his contribution to charity. The award is up at the Costa Mesa, CA Salon! James Albert himself actually does travel to the different schools to train the Cosmetology Students and I was able to sit in on a talk that he was giving to the students about attitude, goals and how to create a business. He is VERY charismatic, a wonderful artist and a savy business owner! Students are lucky to have him as a teacher. Many of his client are well known in the community as well as many celebrities hair and you can get your hair done at his Salon in Newport Beach. He also has his own line of James Albert product that are wonderful. Theres a reason why the school is called; "James Albert!" Nothing is perfect and if you are in a situation that you are unhappy about, I suggest you write a letter addressed to James Albert and mail it certified mail to the corportation in Corona, CA stating what is happening. James Albert has regular meetings with the teachers and is very swift in solving any issues and is very fair to everyone. When a esthetician student graduates from school, Ms. Asmi will let us throw a graduation party. At my graduation I had a "Princess Party" with paper tiara's, food, cake, boa, music, party games with prizes! She will let you invite your friends if you like and we had a blast! Check out this school in Fullerton and say "Hi" to Ms. Asmi and James Albert for me! : - )
