They were quick to come out and diagnose the problem, provided me with variety of options based our budget for the project. They fixed the issue under 45 min, and our AC was back to normal. The pricing was fair, and most importantly, they are honest. They told me upfront the cost of each thing, they don't push me towards one over the other. However, they will always recommend the best. They pride themselves in quality and I can see why. On top of it, it's a family run business. When it comes to a/c, it's always good to have a specialist you can trust. What a mess! Who knew what lurked below the surface?????? Fortunately, Acosta Plumbing answered my frantic phone call. AP Office manager Nicole responded with concerned understanding of the [emergency] situation. Frank Acosta himself was at my home within an hour to assess the issue with my building's management and engineer. Everyone got 'on the same page' to resolve the problem and a schedule was implemented. Acosta Plumbing took care of everything INCLUDING the Permit process. We each had jobs to do and accomplish. My job between Christmas and the first week post-New Year's was to find replacement tile for the shower base which did not require 10-12 weeks delivery along with possible Tariffs and delays AND would coordinate with the rest of the bathroom design. During the holidays, many business are closed. A challenge, indeed. Plus I did not want to inconvenience my neighbor for longer than absolutely necessary. The whole purpose of my review was for Larry to let other clients know that re-patching the drywall was something he was not doing, and to make sure other customers of his inquire about this. Also to you Larry, we will have an attorney now contact you for Defamation and writing fake reviews (acting as our customer) in retaliation to this review. Unfortunate. ------------------------- I personally wouldn't hire again. What is important here is that details are disclosed by the service contractor, so that his customers are satisfied, and everyone views the transaction as mutually completed. (ie. Drywall was not patched back up after the drywall was taken apart to install the pipes- we are left with a hole in the wall with exposed pipes) We had a simple hand sink installed and prior to this we agreed on a price. Having used 2 plumbers in the past at other facilities, our experience has always been that when plumbers installed their pipes behind the walls, they patched back up the drywall holes they cut out- to complete the job. In this case Larry quoted the job, and I assumed that the dry wall he cut out of the wall to install the plumbing would be patched back up. Instead we are left with drywall holes and exposed pipes in the wall. Afterwards he wanted to charge additional fees to patch the drywall back up as an additional up-sell, saying this was not his responsibility. From my take, this was not disclosed up front and now we are having to hire a new contractor because I won't pay him more. Simply put, the work seemed OK for pipe install, but the non-disclosure of what I see as incomplete job with drywall holes. Because of this, Im not partial to hiring him again, but you may have a better experience if he discloses the details about finished work expectations up front (esp. dry wall patching after plumbing). After questioning Larry about why he did not disclose this to us, he replied that he only had 4 other customers have this issue. A perfect reason he should have learned to disclose this to us.
