I didn't buy my bike at this location (it's a Trek I got a deal on), but they are always willing to answer questions, help with issues, and most importantly, when I walk into the shop, there is a person there ready to help. On my bike fit, the initial fit was a few dedicated hours of riding, tweaking, and trying different parts. It was really helpful to discuss any issues I had and address them individually. Additionally, it was difficult for me to find a saddle that works, but JT ordered me one, I rode it a few times, and then came in an swapped it for a slightly different version, no questions asked. Part of that was coming in for a complimentary refit and discussion about what worked and what didn't for me. I also personally witnessed (during my refit) the team at Moment patiently help and answer questions from a "customer" that clearly had no intention of making a purchase ever, but they still stuck with the person for over an hour and treated them like any other customer. For a shop to take the time to do that requires some dedication. It's a small shop with real people that are into bikes and ready to get to it. San Diego needs more places like this.

I've always done a fabulous job on my Cervelo that I bought from them. Plus, if you ride a bike…read morefrom them, then they do the basic maintenance for free.

I'm not young anymore. Well, age has nothing to do w/ it. Perhaps I was tired and feel like I'm…read moretired all the time now but we arrived to San Diego before 9AM and was fortunate to check in early with 2 upgrades. I was envisioning myself in bed to read, nap, and scroll on my phone but Gavin had other ideas. He enjoyed the breaks in the room but wanted to do things. I don't blame him. He noticed this place as we were walking to get lunch earlier. We ended renting a surrey. It's meant for 2, both would need to pedal but the left side had the real steering wheel. Even when it was Gavin's turn to "drive," I still spun the dummy wheel though I knew it served no purpose. It was instincts. The path we took was along the waterfront which is the only path allowed. It was difficult to maneuver because there were a lot of people and a lot of people that are inconsiderate, too. Like a family of 6 walking side by side? Who are your parents that never taught you basic manners?! Service was nice. They hold your ID until the rental is returned. Gavin had fun. A helmet is mandatory for kids under 18 (free). All you pay is the rental for the bike itself. I'm not sure when will be our next cruise but we will definitely try this again but early in the morning so we can bike freely w/o people.

We got two vouchers for one hour bike rentals for this place from the hotel we stayed at nearby but…read morewhen we walked over to this shop the man was out of the bat unfriendly and said we could only use one of the two vouchers (One voucher per hotel room) and would have to pay for the second.. If he was nicer we might of still paid to rent the second just to have some fun but instead we walked back disappointed. Just a heads up in case anyone comes here with their whole family hoping to use multiple vouchers.

They are friendly and attentive when trying to sell you a bike. But once the sale is complete,…read moretheir attitude changes dramatically. As another reviewer pointed out, they seem to lack empathy and genuine concern for their customers. I noticed that many of the positive reviews focus on the purchasing experience, which was pleasant in my case, too. But the real test of a bike shop is how it treats customers after the sale. If you value customer service and a long-term relationship with your bike shop, I strongly recommend shopping elsewhere. ----- **UPDATE (October 10, 2026):** I communicated with the owner, Dave, who made a genuine effort to address my concerns. I appreciate his professionalism and willingness to improve customer relations. While my original experience was disappointing, I think his response certainly deserves recognition, and I trust it reflects the level of customer service the shop will provide going forward.

He brought out a first-aid kit and kindly let me use the bathroom to clean and dress my wounds. His genuine kindness and willingness to help made a difficult moment so much easier. It's rare to encounter this level of care and generosity, and I won't forget it. This is clearly a shop that cares about cyclists--not just customers. Thank you for being there when I needed help. You've earned my trust and my future business. From now on, this will be my go-to shop for all my cycling needs. I couldn't recommend it more highly.
