I first came across Oak Method when I was looking to try Lagree, and being the first Lagree studio in Morgan Hill immediately caught my attention. I actually took my first class just a few months after having surgery, so while I was excited to try something new, I was also a little unsure of what to expect and how my body would feel. From that very first class, though, I felt comfortable going at my own pace, modifying when I needed to, and still getting such a good workout. Shout out to Maddie! One of the things I immediately loved about Oak Method was how small and intimate the classes feel. You don't feel lost in a room full of people and the instructors are actually able to pay attention to you, help with form, offer modifications, and challenge you when you're ready for it! I've now taken classes with several of the instructors, and they all bring their own personality and style, which I love. No 2 classes feel exactly the same, but what IS consistent is how they make the workout accessible for different levels while still somehow keeping it challenging every single time lol. Whether you're brand new to Lagree or have been doing it for a while, there's always a way to meet yourself where you're at AND a way to level it up. But honestly, what makes Oak Method special to me is everything surrounding the workout too. Noelle and the entire team have created such a welcoming, encouraging, community-driven atmosphere. It doesn't feel intimidating or exclusive, and you can tell there's genuine intention behind what they're building beyond just getting people in and out of a 40-45 min class. Having the first Lagree studio in Morgan Hill feels like such a great addition to the community, and it's been really cool watching the community around Oak Method grow too. I originally walked in just wanting to try a new workout and ended up finding a studio I genuinely look forward to coming back to. If you've been curious about Lagree but feel intimidated or aren't sure if it's "for you," I really think Oak Method is such a good place to start. And if you already love a challenging workout...don't worry, you'll definitely get that too

The studio has a wonderful feeling to it and the instructors are all amazing. They are great at explaining form and offering corrections during a workout. I also really like the sense of community you get from attending classes here. You are greeted by name and everyone is extremely friendly. I've attended classes for the last 4 months and the workouts have helped strengthen and tone my body. It's also great for anyone that needs a low impact workout. I highly recommend this studio to anyone!

You hear the stereotype…read moreabout Crossfit - the grunting, banging of the weights, flipping of the huge tires etc... but my first experience at a Crossfit gym, this one in particular, was a lot better than I expected. Abe was very welcoming. He had us perform several exercises with no weights so he could make sure our form was correct for the workouts we were doing that day.0 There were 2 phases of the workout. First we started with several rounds of light weight excersices and stretching. This was for about 15 minutes or so. The next phase was timed (about 40 minutes) and consisted of a circuit - several strength exercises with weights and some that were more cardio focused. The timed portion really gets your competitive nature flowing and you want to push yourself. I was gassed afterwards. During all the workouts Abe was always checking in to make sure everything was good and also providing encouragement. And it just wasn't Abe, all the other members there (about 10 or so during the time I went) were all very friendly and eager to answer questions. I had such a good experience I came back 2 days later for another round - albeit sore from the previous workout but ready for more. If you live or commute around Morgan Hill and are looking to try a new workout routine or interested in trying Crossfit I would definitely recommend stopping by and speaking with Abe! You can't go wrong.

I reached out to CSC while planning my trip and coach Christie was very communicative and welcoming. The first class is free, which is really awesome as I'd paid $34 for the drop in I did in another city and it was very disappointing. My friend ended up wanting to join me so I sent Christie a text the night before asking if I could bring her, and she confirmed right away. We attended the Monday @ 5:30am class taught by Christie and it was great! The other class members were friendly, the session was challenging and I feel like I got a really good workout in. I hadn't planned to return on Tuesday morning, but roped my friend into coming with me again *evil laugh*. Antioco was the coach for the 5:30am class on Tuesday and we enjoyed another a**-kicking session. My shoulders and arms were toast after Monday's dumbbell bench complex and then Tuesday's handstand pushups + med ball slams! As class was wrapping up, I overheard one of the coaches talking about the 5K run they were going to do at 6:30am. Thinking it was a chill group run kind of situation, I asked if I could join them. It ended up being more of a 5K time trial kind of situation and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you for letting me join you Tyler! I purchased a Cold Storage Crossfit shirt and will proudly represent here in SoCal. I can't wait for my next visit to Hollister and CSC!
