A new bubble tea chain has recently arrived in Edmonton from Taiwan! Xing Fu Tang has currently opened a West and South location. There are plans for a North location to open in the future as well.
I went to the West location on the second day of their grand opening. It was fairly busy inside. They have an open window where you can watch the staff make the fresh house made brown sugar pearls in front of you. I tried their signature brown sugar pearl milk tea and their strawberry pearl milk. Both were great! The pearls tasted very fresh and I liked the strawberry infusion on the strawberry pearls. The brown sugar pearl milk tea had brown sugar infused throughout. I like that the brown sugar tea didn't go bland after awhile which I have experienced at other bubble tea places.
I have also went to their South location. My experience with that location isn't as good. Service was slow and they seemed a bit disorganized. I've tried the Taro Milk, Passionfruit yogurt green tea, Kiwi yogurt green tea and Bunny Jelly Mango Smoothie. My favourite out of these was the bunny jelly mango smoothie since it came with a coconut jelly shaped like a bunny and the mango flavour was strong and fresh. The strawberry pearls I had here was stale and bland unfortunately. I'm not sure if it's a location or consistency issue here at the south Calgary Trail location. read more
