Xfinity Comcast has been a thorn on my side. I'm forced to subscribe because of limited choices in internet speed. Every time I visit the store they do try to get you in & out of the store quickly. I think the motivation is for their bottom line. Serving more people in a short time, high turnover must be part of their measurement. Not necessarily good for consumers. Last week we had a problem with our cable box at work so we visited the store in Roosevelt. When we got there we were in & out quickly with our box in hand. Impressive, right? Not so fast. Got back to the office and after many attempts the box simply did not work. Got on the phone annoyed and feeling lucky to speak to a human, was advised "the store is only for residential customers. Duh.....someone at the store should have figured it out after looking at our account. What can I say Comcast you always disappoint both in business account & also in my personal account. Cable & Internet service seems to go down at the worse possible time. If not for the Internet speed & lack of an alternative I would have hightailed away from Comcast. I want to this location on two different occasions a month apart and asked for the Xb10 modem because customer service told me that I can go in the store to grab this modem on two different occasions I was told at the store that my address does not qualify for the new modem and I went to a different location with no problem. I received the modem and it works great. read more

Extremely fraudulent staff. They forced the storm ready backup internet on us by selling us on a monthly rental fee, without telling us the truth about the full cost that we were paying and the fact that we were actually purchasing the equipment, not renting it ($200+, not $7). Called and escalated the problem and their upper management didn't want to help because the store personnel gotten us to sign something without disclosing to us what we were signing. Imagine the shock when we called to cancel service/return equipment and are now stuck with a device we will never use. It is clear that this store just wants to make a quick buck by withholding information, which is basically taking advantage of its customers. Can't believe that a large company like Xfinity doesn't train their people to be honest or uphold any type of integrity. I highly recommend going somewhere else. read more

I'm extremely annoyed with xfinitys equipment return process and the lack of oversight. I have been trying to return equipment for 45 days now and have been to the store twice in the process. I usually don't make reviews but this time it's a must. The whole process is no streamlined and makes it really hard to get the service required taken care of. I am a new customer to Xfinity. When I first received my wifi modem the app wanted me to pay before hooking up a self service. The representative said they started your bill before you received your equipment. It took us almost an hour to get it set up. I have spoken with Xfinity five times in last 6 days. Not one Xfinity associate has been friendly. This does not reflect the Store, but to customer service. They cut you off in mid sentence, they don't pay attention nor listen. Xfinity service will talk back, have a foul mouth and could care less to be helpful. Xfinity self insulation for WiFi you will have to buy your own cable. The last words spoken to me is good luck. I think that Xfinity is a great company. They have great prices and wonderful products. But Xfinity customer service will flat out tell you that's not their problem. It's like shopping at certain stores you go for the prices not for customer service. I do not recommend associating with Xfinity and god help the elderly. Be aware when purchasing with Xfinity. You will need to be capable of doing things on your own. I could not find one search engine that shows that Xfinity has more than three stars. I guess that should tell us something. I am in no way frustrated are upset when a repeated action continues. That would be pointless. read more

Oh my a big staff foo! I went in person to pay my bill. I forgot to pay!! It was Wednesday and thought I might be in for a bit of a wait!! Not so! The first person who saw me helped me immediately!! No lines!! He was exceedingly helpful and very pleasant. His name is Thomas wade! He deserves a raise really. His customer service made me feel special, almost harkened back to the 1960's special care!. Wow! Wish this was on the airlines still. Anyway I digress! Ha! I remember the 60's still ,thanks! Wait wasn't too bad to pick up equipment on a weekday. The person processing the equipment mentioned that there was a no contract option, although it was $10 more a month. I wanted to go with that but she said it disappeared when she went back to check it. Weird. Additionally I came here to pick up the equipment because I thought it would be self install. 4 days later with no internet and going back and fourth with Xfinity customer service I decided to cancel my the services that never started. I arrived on a Saturday to return my equipment and because I wanted a receipt I had to wait for someone. 30 minutes later I was finally out. What a waste of time. read more

I came in to buy a couple of the mesh wifi units that they sell which extend your network all over your house. I put my name down and waited for about 6-7 minutes until a salesman was free. He was very helpful, brought the equipment out immediately, and gave me some advice about how to place and set up the units. I was in and out in in less than 20 minutes. Efficient, got whatever I needed, very good service -- I was surprised and pleased. read more

Don't be fooled by the lying Comcast Xfinity $20 Deal. Got my first bill for $157. They lied to me at every level and even went so far as to tell me at the Jacksonville, Florida, Roosevelt Store that a Miami purchased Modem cannot be used by their system in Jacksonville ~ I'd have to rent one of their modems at $15 per month or purchase another Jacksonville modem. Once the contract was signed, I became a captive to their fleecing lying tactics. Then there was a $100 service fee because they intentionally entered the wrong CM MAC & EMTA MAC numbers incorrectly. Purportedly the service technician ran a $100 test by simply plugging in the "Rented" modem I was forced to use because they would not connect my Nighthawk Modem/Router which is exclusively made for Xfinity. I've spent untold hours on the phone with Foreign and then American representatives ~ mostly waiting on hold between lies. Then I received the $157 bill and was floored. Their service and store clerks must receive training on how to lie to customers about simple installation of a modem. Perhaps they receive commissions for fleecing unsuspecting customers. My home was already set up with Xfinity internet by the previous occupant; but to have to pay a $100 service fee because they entered the wrong CM MAC & EMTA MAC numbers is outrageous. When I complained they claimed the service technician ran a test when he simply plugged in the rented Xfinity Modem. This monopoly on internet service providers must be stopped! There is no accountability for Comcast Xfinity lying to customers and fleecing unwarranted charges and equipment. If someone knows a solution for such underhanded tactics please let me know......... Any considering xfinity for home internet, I would highly advise against them as a option. Constant disruptions. Working from home, internet is a necessity and I very rarely maintain internet for 8 hours straight without any disruptions. They alert you of possible outages, and I receive this notification weekly if not daily. There is never a reason as to why the internet is down. It's always just "someone is in your area fixing the problem". Then the next day it happens again. Customer service is non existent. Good luck getting anyone on the phone to assist you. Then they will offer you a credit. The credit will be minimal compared to the hours you're losing from work. This has been a horrible experience. I sincerely hope my stress and frustration with this company will save someone else this hassle down the road. Please do not choose to give your money to them. They do not deserve the buisness. They are rated a 1.8 out of 5 and that is generous. Btw, this being written while I wait for my connection to come back so I can continue working.... read more

Staff at the door had the personality of a fish. Store REEKS of marijuana. If you have a reactive airway disease, steer clear. Boy at the front desk patronized 3 customers when they asked where they were in line. THREE employees finished helping customers and immediately walked off to the back and didn't resurface with SEVEN people waiting to be helped. I received brand new equipment to manually install. The equipment didn't work which wasn't that big of a problem because I'm a patient person and give the benefit of the doubt in most situations. I called in and the automated voice recording takes between 10-30 minutes to get to a live person. After 3 attempts I was finally able to get to someone. Again, annoying but giving the benefit of the doubt. They reset the modem twice, tried activation 3 times, and it still didn't work. Again, that's frustrating but not worth getting upset over. The reason I am upset is because rather than saying "hey we apologize for the inconvenience, we will send someone over shortly to fix this issue for you," The answer I got was: "Well the only next step that we can do is send someone over to your house and you will be charged $70, or you can just cancel your service with us." How is this the only solution? Telling me that it's my fault that you gave me bad equipment and now I need to pay for xfinities mistake. On top of that you're saying take it or get out? I see why there are so many poor reviews. If the customer service is this bad, I can't imagine how bad the actual internet is. read more

Today was an absolute first! I picked up ALL Xfinity services ( phone, cell, cable & wifi) and dropped them all the same day after 3 hours of endless trouble shooting. The piss poor service continued when I entered the store. I asked to speak to a manager & was told I had to wait to be called. When no one was waiting to speak to a manager, further no one had been there twice that day with a complaint, and "new" equipment that didn't work. The manager was RUDE and very sassy as if helping customers was the last thing he had planned that day. read more

I recently dropped TMobile mobile and went with xfinity for phones, we already have all the other xfinity products. I would like to commend Customer service rep Jordan Thompson, who walked us thru the process and gave us excellent advice not only about the phones but also the other services we have with them. We walked out of the store with 4 new iPhones and a new mobile plan. She saved us money on all services as well. I went back into the store today and talked with her about questions I forgot to ask when I was in there over the weekend. Again she took time to answer all my questions. A customer since 1997, I needed to downgrade my channel selection. By phone and live chat, I was unable to do that because I was an existing user. I am a senior person on fixed income, and trying to cut costs. A channel lineup more suited to my needs is available to new customers, though not for me. What a shame. Where oh where do I begin?!? This is long, so please forgive me, but if you're thinking about ditching Comcast, keep calm and read on my friends, because this is good. It is unfortunate that citizens of this great country still have to live in a world with Comcast. Just this week, I cancelled my account after being a Comcast customer since my almost 15 years in Florida, and 15 years of absolutely awful customer service, technical service, and only kept my account this long because it was basically the only choice in my area until att and Direct TV began bundling their services. Now...without further ado.... I sold my home on 3/3/17 and requested Comcast switch my service from my old address to my new address with the installation appt set for 3/13/17. I work out of my home, so having service is not just a luxury, it's a requirement to operate my business. 3/13/17 comes. Appt from 1-3pm. I take the whole day off for the appt. because since I didn't have service I had to work off WIFI at a coffee shop. Comcast not only does not show up, but they do not even bother to call, despite my "guaranteed" 1-3pm appt., and despite getting at least 5 automated phone calls and separate text messages from Comcast reminding me to death of my appt. That they don't show up to. Now since I've been a Comcast customer this long, I've become accustomed to crappy service, so figured I'd let this one slide. I call after the no show at 3:15 and am told a tech will be out the next day 3/14. 3/14...the tech shows up, and we walk around my house to scope out the project, which included installing some new cable lines that had to be run through the attic to pull through the floorboards. The tech tells me "I have allergies and cannot do this type of work, so I will have to reschedule you." Are you kidding me?? That's like hiring a bank teller who is allergic to money. Why in the world would he even waste his time, and, more importantly, my time in showing up to do the work?! The tech not only leaves a ladder in my yard (which is still there despite me telling them to come pick it up out of my yard), but tells me no appt is available until FRIDAY 3/17 from 5-7pm. How is that possible?! Friday 3/17 5:30pm comes. Obviously not at all confident that Comcast will show up, let alone even call given that appt slot is the last for the day, I call Comcast at 5:30 to find out the status of the tech. I am told my appt is still on and not to worry, and that the tech would call me directly when he's close by. Shockingly, 7pm comes. Guess what?! You got it. No tech. No phone call. I call Comcast. I am told, after being on the phone for over 30 minutes, that a tech was never assigned and that they could not come out on Friday, and that the next appt was not until the following day, Saturday 3/18. I have to be on some kind of a TV show where the Comcast commercial guy who says Comcast's new motto is all about customer service pops out of the bushes and says "just kidding! Here's your tech right here and 3 free months service for this awful inconvenience customer of over a decade!" Sadly, this was simply a lucid dream. I ask to speak to the supervisor who "understands my concerns", but assured me I am "guaranteed" for 3/18 the following day, shockingly from 5-7pm again, and not to worry. He tells me that there is no way to have a tech come out sooner because other customers had "guaranteed" appts. You have to kidding. Please be. You have to. He was not. 3/18/17...I call at 3:30 and again at 5:00 to make sure a tech is actually assigned. My appt still shows as active, but no tech assigned. Now I simply know they aren't coming. FOR THE FOURTH TIME. THE FOURTH TIME IN A WEEK. 6:30 comes. I call back. Lo and behold, no tech assigned because one "was not available to complete that kind of job". Holy. Cow. I immediately demanded to have my account cancelled. The fun doesn't stop here. My service was disconnected on 3/3 and had not a drop of TV or internet since then, yet the first rep told me I would be billed through 3/18 (the day of the 4th no show). It took another 35 minutes and a transfer to the billing dept to get this remarkably simple question resolved. Signed up for AT&T and Direct TV's bundle package and couldn't be happier. Their tech showed up, on time, was finished in a couple hours, and I am free forever of absolutely the worst company I've encountered in my 37 years on this earth. Why I waited this long is beyond me other than maybe Stockholm Syndrome. Comcast is the absolute worst company on this great planet on which we live. read more

I have been trying to contact an actual person to discuss that one of the cable boxes I have isn't working and I just need to exchange it with a new one. It's been 35 minutes of their horrible recording loop you get every time you call. Telling you a million times that your problems can be handled better online and they give you the website. I've said 50 times that I want to speak to an agent, it just keeps repeating the same loop. I then tried texting and it's repeating the loop on the text messaging as well. THEY are THE WORST for customer service!! The worst! I'm very patient and this has nothing to do with the recent Corona Virus. Their customer service has ALWAYS been this bad! It's amazing how they will do anything to keep you from talking to a person. Terrible Customer Service!! Terrible!!!! I wish I could make the rating a minus -5. read more

After several days of frustrating phone calls with Comcast as my husband and I moved to a new place, things got so bad on their end that they apparently literally couldn't fix the problem. They had us pack up all of our equipment to take it to the store, and I was very much not looking forward to this process, which I assumed would be much like all the phone calls I made but with an actual person to be frustrated at. Luckily, this was not the case. As we came in we were greeted by a staff member, signed up for help, and sent off to wait a few minutes for the next available representative (no, they didn't say that; I might have turned around and left!). Sure enough, just a minute or two later an actual person came to help, and he quickly diagnosed the problem as one of my several phone people doing an absurd thing. He couldn't fix the equipment we brought with us, but we were able to trade it out (luckily our DVR was clear!), and he fixed a couple of other problems while he was at it, being friendly and professional the whole time. It was such a great experience that I said to my husband, "I'm never calling Comcast again; I'll just come here!" I'm sure that won't be true the next time our internet cuts out after business hours, but the sentiment still stands! :) read more

The staff here failed me. They didn't tie my new service to my pre-existing account and misspelled some of my info. As a result, I never received a paper or email bill and couldn't use the app or website. I had to have an hour long phone call with customer service (30 minute wait time and hung up on once) to get my account fixed to the point where I could just pay the bill. Comcast may be my only internet option but I won't work with this horrible storefront again. read more

Why does your company lie and overcharge your seniors? My grandfather is 94 and handicapped. He is in a motorized wheelchair and not able to use his legs but the service tech and Jen JB/ said that the tech charged because my grandfather could do the installation himself. Well, he did hook all the boxes up to the TVs and modem yet no service was entering the home. All the lights on the modem were steady fast blinking. Once the tech came after two no shows he even said the house had no wires coming into the house for service. As he complained about having to run wires to the house and threw the attic this was supposed to be able to be done by a 94 yr old handicapped man. Jen who claims to be in retention said agrees he should have been able to get his wheelchair into the attic and pull that couple hundred feet of wire from the pole into the attic on his own. Also! He can go outside to the main box for his street and connect there too. This is beyond ridiculous and disrespectful to the elderly. read more

Yeah, sure XFINITY costs a lot, I know. I have been with Directv and former versions of Xfinity, but in the end, internet and cable, Comcast is the best option. Stable, consistent in Jacksonville. This store is great too, because if you want to deal with someone FACE to FACE, you can do so. No need to deal with the phone calls and someone in a hole in another country. I really enjoy seeing the people at this store. I only wish the people on the phones had the same amount of customer service skills! read more

This store is only good for dropping off old equipment, making a payment or switching out common equipment. A few months ago I dropped off an old box I wasn't using and switched out a defective modem - I had a good experience. So when I wanted to upgrade my service and get an X1 DVR, I went back to the store - where they advertise it heavily. I had spoken over the phone with an Xfinity rep earlier in the week and got a quote for an HD Triple Play Package with no additional charge for the X1 box and I could self install equipment for free. When I called back a few days later, I got a much less experienced person on the line, so I figured I'd go directly to the store to talk with an "expert." The Xfinity store not only doesn't carry the X1 DVR in stock, but to place an order at the store it costs $100 for the box and a $50 installation fee - you can't self install. The customer service rep at the store explained that there are "different deals available over the phone and online, this is the price for the store." Which seems totally ridiculous to me. What a waste of time. UPDATE: Just for anyone who is in the same boat as I was, I found the online deal for the X1 DVR was the best, you have to pay for the install either way. Just leave PLENTY of time to do the online chat you have to do before the order is complete. It took 30 minutes. read more

I absolutley LOVE this store! The employs who work there, work with you, help you in a manerly way! I have been there just a few times and everytime i go in they are right there right as you walk in asking for assistance, immediatly! There is no long waiting period. You even sign in on the pad if no one is avaible at the moment or if they're standing there, they take your name down and either way, they call IMMEDIATLY! They know their buisness, know you, and very kind! Smiling the whole time your talking to them! I LOVE THIS STORE! 5 STARS FOR THIS STORE! read more

I have been with Comcast for five years. It has been rough. It's a hassle to get the installation, but once you do its generally good (I move a lot). ...as long as you never have to call in: don't. This past year has been by far the WORST. When I moved into my current home, I found that I can't connect my PS4 to internet unless it is WIRED to the router. My printer and tablets are iffy with internet connection. And now the service goes out ALL. THE. TIME. You never realize how hard they make it to report an outage until you try to do it. I have changed my address 4 times now with Comcast, just to find out that they still have my old one on file EVERY. TIME. And they charge me to send a paper bill, so we went to paperless.... but apparently they are sending them via paper again to my OLD address? We've already been in 2 other times to fix this issue because when we changed our address this past time; they apparently made an ENTIRELY NEW BILLING ACCOUNT and didn't link ANY of our contact information to it.... but we were still getting a bill from our old account saying we owed nothing and we didn't know about the new account. They always say you can just call in and give them a new address and everything changes over... so we thought it DID. I called because it seemed odd that we would owe nothing and they still said we owed nothing. I assumed it was becuase it was the end of the year and we got refunds or credits to ALL of our other utilities... so it didn't seem odd to get one from them. I figured next month would be a real bill.... But the second month in we had our service shut off for not paying the bill. We had no idea the second account existed until two months later when we were finding out via a hit to our credit. We went in to try to find out why we were getting our service shut off, but they said we owed nothing. It took the woman at the counter over 40 minutes to figure out that we had a new account since it didn't have our current address on it, or the account numbers from our bill. They finally figured out there was a second account and they say that we were getting emails, but we weren't. They say you can't get emails unless you make your account changes to paperless billing on your account, but we never did. You need to KNOW the account number just to make an online account to do that and we never knew what it was because we never got the bill. They refuse to acknowledge the amount of times we have changed our billing address to our CURRENT address. They refuse to acknowledge their mistake, remove the credit remarks, or fix the account information so that we can SEE the bill so that we can PAY the bill. I am going in today for yet another visit to talk to someone who likely CAN'T help me. They used to be the cheapest company, but AT&T now offers the same service for $2 more.... I think it's time I leave this abusive relationship for someone whose going to treat me like I MATTER.... read more

I am still waiting for installation. It has been almost a week since my equipment arrived. Was lied to 4 times about installation dates/times. It was supposed to be Monday. I have already received a bill in the mail, bill by email, bill on their dashboard but the service has not even started yet. They are coming out the gate strong.
