Xentra was a delightful surprise we did not anticipate while looking for a lunch spot in this touristy town. We were drawn in by a sign advertising a 13 Euro buffet (including beverage), and down the staircase we went.
The buffet spread, while not fancy, was comprehensive enough and best of all, most of it was fairly delicious. Food was constantly replenished, and there were also plenty of fresh veggies for a salad, some fruit, and even dessert. We were fascinated that they had slabs of pork belly, which tasted exactly like Korean samgyupsal, and loaded up on our fill of veggies which we were very much craving after days of heavy, protein-featuring meals. Unless you're an extremely picky eater, almost anyone will find something to enjoy at the buffet here!
The included drink can be a soda, wine, or beer, which again drives home the insane value here. The serradura (Portuguese Sawdust Pudding) here was DIVINE, and has stayed in my memory ever since! read more
