As of this review, it's open from 10am-9pm during the week, 10am-5pm on Saturdays and 1pm-5pm on Sundays. All Dayton Metro Library branches are closed on Sundays, so this is a nice option to have in the area. The most recent renovation and expansion to this facility occurred in 2018, and it remains clean and well-maintained. Reservable spaces include three 'quiet' rooms for up to 4 people, two meeting rooms for 4-6 people, a creative space for up to 20 people, and a large community room for up to 80 people. Of note, the three quiet rooms have a single, small round table, which makes it difficult for more than 2 people to use at the same time. The meeting rooms are located in the middle of the library and lack windows to the outside. Other spaces include a few scattered smaller tables in the front of the library and one 4 person table in the far back corner which is usually highly sought after as it is isolated from the other areas and provides some privacy. In addition, there are four 4-person tables in the middle with outlets, and three 2-person tables adjacent to these, although without outlet access. In another area, they have some other 2-person tables with dividers in the middle thus making them individual spots. There are lots of reading chairs spread throughout. Although this may sound like a lot, the tables (particularly the 4-person ones) fill up rather quickly, so I've always thought they could use a few more. I've also noticed that this library is rather busy most of the time, especially compared to some of the others in the area.

I currently telecommute for work but working at home can be a little isolating. So I go to the library to work in a quiet environment that allows me to focus yet is open and bright(lots of windows). The furniture is comfortable, there is free WiFi, the librarians are pleasant and helpful, and as a town resident I can reserve a meeting room for times that I need to talk on the phone with my co-workers. I know that this is not the traditional use of the library but since we pay taxes to support it, as long as I don't disturb anyone else in the process, I feel perfectly good about it. I wrote my dissertation in a public library years ago and came to appreciate them not only for this sort of thing but as a continuing center of the community. They are a hive of activity that we should maintain. And for me, when I take breaks from work, I enjoy the magazines and books available to me. Support your local library!

My one complaint is that the events are so popular that you have to watch the website and sign up immediately when something comes up that you are interested in. There is a food box outside the library. Inside, snacks are always available for the young ones. I use the website to request books that aren't available in house and the process is smooth. The checkout and book return is up-to-date and easy to use. The library staff is helpful and friendly. I love the large magazine section. A lot of libraries I have been to in the past have stopped having magazines available. I'm old school and love to hold and read a magazine. There is ample comfortable seating.

We enjoyed the recent Historical Presentation, organized and set-up by Ms. Nancy! Ms. Nancy set-up beautiful tea cups and plates, and napkins and hot tea and cupcakes, for delicious desserts! Ms. Nancy works very hard and her presentations bring History alive and vibrant to us, all! A Volunteer, Ms. Leslie, did a beautiful job, hard work, detailed research, on The Brave Women Of The Revolutionary War, and The Tea Party, bringing History alive, in an educational and fun manner! Ms. Leslie wore a great looking Woman's Revolutionary Dress/Costume, looking like she had just step out of a Traveling Time Machine! Ms. Leslie brought delicious home made cookies from a old recipe from that time era, of that time during The Revolutionary War time! This is the best little small town library! We go regularly to pick up books for the kids to read…read more There is a great variety of books available, considering how small the building is. And if we can't find what we need at the location, we just go online to the Greene County system to reserve items, and within a few days they are available for pick up. When the kids were little, we would walk over and participate in toddler story time - they are always friendly and welcoming. The staff is helpful but no-nonsense, just like you would expect a librarian to be. The library is in a neat old stone building - every time I walk in the front door, I can feel the history of Bellbrook. Every spring, the Garden Club does a great job with the landscaping and flowers out front. We love our community library!

Like other DML branches, it is clean and well-maintained…read more It has a larger children's and teen's section than some of the other branches, including a teen quad and opportunity space which appears to be geared towards arts and crafts. Reservable spaces include a quad for up to 4 people, group room for up to 8 people, conference room for up to 10 people and large community room for up to 90 people. There's also a quiet reading area with two 4-person tables, two 2-person tables and some reading chairs. Most of these spaces are on the inner portion of the library, so they lack windows. Other than the reservable spaces, there's not a whole lot of other places to sit -- only two other larger tables, one of which is occupied by a community puzzle. Of note, it gets rather cold here so bring a jacket if you plan on staying a while!
