I planned my…read morehusband a surprise birthday party while I was traveling internationally and Mark was really helpful. He was very communicative--even with the 13 hour time difference, I was able to coordinate with him easily. I had my husband be taken out of the house three hours before the party to set up... the balloon arch was delivered right on time. The photographer showed up half an hour earlier than the party. The magician I wanted to hire was booked somewhere else and I only found out a few days before, but the balloon sculpture artist Mark recommended instead was an absolute hit with the kids as well as the adults, which was a pleasant surprise. He made my husband the most outrageous birthday hat. Right when he was supposed to be done, one of the kids tripped and popped his balloons and got upset, and he stayed longer to make him (and a few other stragglers) more balloons. Truly kind. The photographer David was also really so helpful, friendly, and on it! He came early and helped with some of the set up... he was attentive and also very nice to talk to. Very natural (sometimes it's awkward when a photographer's in your face taking pictures but it wasn't awkward at all). We got a USB full of pictures right after the party! Really, what a great experience. My husband had a really great time. Thank you Mark and company!

First off I have two points to make... 1) this was for a…read morewedding and long to show how great they are 2) these guys are the most accommodating company I've ever used. Initial meeting - After calling a company who must have had Calvin Harris djing for him with his rates We found Ernest and realized his rates were right in our budget! both my fiance and I live in Virginia but we got married in New Jersey. So we didn't have a lot of free time to set up meetings. Ernest scheduled on the exact day we were going to be in town and was a pleasure to have lunch with. Immediately we knew we wanted to use him. Songs and song choices- my fiance and I delayed getting this to them until about a week before the wedding. To make it even worse we sent them about 10 songs and the wedding party / first dance songs.. Never once did he get upset, check in on us, or say he couldn't do anything. It was all met with a "great or no problem" in fact he even took my call on a random Tuesday night because we had no idea how to do the scheduling. He helped with all of that!!!! Wedding- well let's just say that everyone danced their booties off!!! With a very diverse family including kids he managed to work in poppy songs for the kids, 60's & 70's songs for the adults, dance/ rap for us and our friends.. We got compliments on how great of a job they did. Keep in mind that 10 song list I sent was done so he knew what type of music we wanted to listen to. At 10 songs it's hard to fill 3 hours of dancing and Ernest picked songs that blended perfect and everyone enjoyed. If you've made it this far reading, thank you! But you should be calling electrified dj to get them at your next event not reading anything else from me... Thank you for making our day so perfect!!

Jon (DJ Gatsby) was fantastic to work with for our wedding in NYC at City Winery. I (bride) work in…read morethe event planning industry and professionalism is very important to me. Jon was the most organized and collaborative of the bunch. (No offense to our venue, our decorator and our photographer...) Jon really took the time to understand our tastes, the atmosphere we wanted to create, and the flow of events. We never felt obligated to spell out every song he should and should not play. We gave him genres we liked and the vibe we wanted to create at different points in the wedding, and he just ran with it. Our cocktail hour was upbeat and modern alternative, with a splash of 90s rock. And our reception was a party that mixed great dance songs, throwbacks to our college years, and some current guilty pleasures. Our hope for the wedding was that we'd spend most of our time on the dance floor: eat a little, dance, father-daughter moment, dance, toasts, dance, cake, dance... He kept the energy at the right level all throughout the night. We truly believe that he had a lot to do with just how much fun our guests had - and they had a blast! If your musical tastes and the atmosphere you want are anything like ours, we can wholeheartedly recommend Jon. If you plan to handpick every single song in your wedding, you're probably wasting Jon's talent. Let Jon run with it and cross off one thing that you don't have to worry about on your wedding day.
