She is also very knowledgeable of your face shape and hair type so she can give you the haircut that best compliments your face. I got a perm 6 months ago and she manifested my permed hair amazingly! She cut it and manage to leave a bit of the c and s curl behind (which is from the perm) so that my hair does not look flat (lob/bob hair can look very flat, especially if you have naturally straight hair like I do). She is an artist!! Also, she doesn't take walk-ins and only takes reservations so call for reservations before coming so you're not wasting your time driving! The reason why she doesn't take walk-ins is that she can solely concentrate on working with one customer and provide the best service! That's to me is pure passion! P/s: Thank you so much! I thoroughly enjoy my haircut and my experience! I'll return! - Trang.

Owned by a mother daughter team. They are super professional, kind, and genuinely want to give you the best hairdo; for you to look and feel your best! The owner gave such great advice on how to properly maintain my hair (I have a double processed balayage). She went above and beyond to ensure that she understood exactly what kind of hairstyle I wanted. And she clearly communicated what my best options were in order to maintain the health of my hair. She was very knowledgeable and very apt to educate me on best hair care practices. If you work a typical 8am - 5pm and are only available late evenings and weekends (like my schedule), you need to schedule an appointment way in advance. So call her early and book as soon as you can !

I have been going downtown for years, almost 15 to be exact to get my hair done. I have fine curly…read morehair that I have highlighted for over 20 years or more, and has started to gray as the years have passed. I decided to give a place in the neighborhood a chance as I'm tired of spending a half a day just to get my hair done. This place is amazing! When I called, I was able to get an appointment right away which is not common in my experience. The owner made my appointment with DJ, her daughter as she has had over 30 years experience working for L'Oreal and is amazing with color and balayage. From the minute, I walked in the salon everyone was very welcoming. It's a little bit of a throwback and it's an awesome one!! The place is clean and bright and there are people of all different ages there to get their hair done. DJ greeted me warmly and we discussed what I was looking to do. I had felt I'd become too blonde over the years and I wanted to be more of a dark blonde. She suggested I use a demi permanent so I didn't hurt my roots as I was just adding color, not taking color away since I was making it a darker shade. I wasn't sure what you expect after using ammonia products over the years but I could not have been happier with the end result. I recently went back for my second visit and had a haircut as well. Having curly hair it's hard to find someone who can cut hair and understand how much it shrinks up when dry if cutting wet. DJ not only understood this but pointed out how she was doing the shortest pieces to let me know she understood. I tend to leave a salon wet as I'm usually just running around and not doing anything fancy so I thought I liked my cut when I was there. When I got home later that evening and I washed it, I realized I LOVE LOVE LOVED the cut! Honestly, it's probably the first time someone has ever looked at a picture that I gave them and made it look better than that. I would highly recommend the salon and DJ in particular.

Would not waste your time booking appointments for the cost this place charges. Much better places around town with more update facilities.

Everything about the visit made me know for sure that I have finally found MY salon. Her customer service is superb. We talked about what I wanted and she happily answered my questions and offered suggestions. Carla gave me a great cut that I am super happy with. I will be returning for color soon, as she is one of the best colorists in the area. The salon itself is clean and comfortable. Unlike most salons where I've felt crammed in with loud chatter and unpleasant chemical smells all around, at Carla's I felt relaxed and in good hands. I swear that this was the first time that I left a salon without a headache. From talking with her it is clear that she very knowledgeable and Jenkintown is lucky to have someone with her high-end expertise. I have been to other local salons, but now that I've been to Carla's I know how a client should be treated and what a true positive experience at a salon is. I'm looking forward to my next visit. My only regret is that I didn't go to her sooner.

My…read moresisters friend posted a picture of her hair and I immediately asked my sister to ask where she goes. She went to Top Cut!! I followed them on Instagram and messaged them about wanting to book an appointment. Now, a lot of businesses and salons don't care about the integrity of their clients hair. Don't get me wrong, a lot of them care, but there are a lot of salons who don't either. Upon messaging Top Cut, they were extremely transparent and said that I should wait to do my hair again (because I previously bleached it a month prior). So, I booked my appointment a month and a half in advanced and waited patiently until the day came. When I got to the salon, I was immediately seated and we discussed what I wanted to. The salon took their time to examine my hair and let me know if my hair is able to withstand going lighter. What won me over is how much time and effort they put into my hair. I loved how they really wanted to make sure that my hair would stay healthy by giving me an olaplex treatment and an oil treatment! They took the time to foil my hair and separate the lighter pieces from the darker pieces (from my prior hair bleaching). I asked for a cool toned balayage, and as you can see from the before and after pictures.. they DELIVERED. After 9 hours of bleaching, washing, treatment and style, I am extremely pleased with the results. The staff is so sweet, always checking to make sure I'm okay. With how busy they were, they made me feel like I was a VIP client by attending to me often. Definitely will return for a touch up in a few months. Thank you so much for bringing me back to life :)
