For those using AAA for roadside assistance, here are my issues:…read more1) I've been a "member" for 15 years; I renewed a month ago, but bought a new car that has roadside assistance for 2 years; 2) I thought it would simple to downgrade my plan from "premier" to "classic" . . . nope! 3) AAA Mid-atlantic - unlike AAA Northeast - does not provide pro-rata refunds . . . "it's a corporate rule" I was told over and over by the supervisor at the call center; 4) I also could not cancel my membership; I'm stuck with services I won't need for 11 months. 5) This is a greedy rule; 6) I had always declined roadside assistance from GEICO and USAA . . . but never again! As I learned today, it's the same level of service as AAA and MUCH CHEAPER! 7) With this auto-policy service, I can change at any time with a pro-rated reduction; 8) I cancelled my AAA auto renewal and will never use them again. Don't get caught in the AAA-renewal rut out of habit as I did; there are other strong alternatives that won't take advantage of a life change.

All included in the membership. Additional perks, benefits, bonuses and observations- * Value - for $3 a month, I have all DMV services, discounts on my auto insurance, a defensive driving class offered for a fee, roadside assistance( towing, tire service and fuel delivery, battery and lockout service),travel planning assistance, free maps, FREE Identity theft protection and free Hertz Gold rental car membership. * The communication between the staff is phenomenal. Great teamwork.. * Thank you to the wonderful and proactive manager Alice.Hats off to the methodical and kind Jim who got me in and out in less than five minutes.The accommodation and respect I got from Melvin was so warm and off the charts regarding my specific situation being a military veteran and leaving for an overseas assignment in a few hours * The line was seven deep as the door opened at 9 AM and three different AAA employees including Alice greeted us all with smiles and walked us to different counters depending on our appointment or service needed * This Garden City location is a half a mile south of Old Country Road on the south west corner of Franklin Avenue and 12th St. The entrance is from the rear. Panera Bread is next door. There are loads of parking spaces. AAA grade to this AAA Garden City office!

Lack of transparency, poor value--book hotels and tours yourself instead!…read more We paid ~$18,000 (flights not included) for our two week Italy honeymoon through Blue Ribbon Travel. Hotel invoices we obtained directly show only €3,470 total--yet the agency refused to provide any breakdown of where the rest went, even after we asked repeatedly before and after the trip. Multiple days had zero activities planned and no guidance on what to do or see, despite paying for "curated" planning. Tours were poorly timed (too early when venues closed, guide even said she told the agent this and was overruled). We had to handle logistics ourselves using Google and hotel staff, and almost missed a flight due to lack of communication between the agent and driver. The tours themselves were often ones you would find on Viator and Tripadvisor - we found most of these tours online since the agent just copied and pasted the text, and these tours were often only a few hundred dollars - nothing justifying the exorbitant cost. Save thousands and stress--book hotels direct, arrange your own tours. You'll get better value and control. 1 star only because the scale doesn't go lower.

Used BLUE Ribbon travel in Stony Brook for a family vacation to Italy. Used Andrea Horn. Traveled…read morewith my wife and 9 others. First mistake made was when my wife and I had our tickets switched with my two adult daughters. Our seats were supposed to be in premium and the k7ds in economy. They were switched. Then when we checked in to our Hotel in Rome, my wife and I had a room. Our two Daughters were reserved at the same hotel chain........in Florence! I had to pay for another room for my Daughters because the room in Florence was non refundable at that point. I have been waiting since July15th ( it is now August 17th) to get my money refunded . I am told that "it takes a while since it's in Europe" . Worst travel agency experience of mylife.

Costa Rica itself was absolutely beautiful, and the itinerary included some great destinations like Arenal, Tamarindo, Monteverde, and San José. Once everything was in place, the trip itself was very enjoyable and memorable. We did experience some challenges leading up to and during the trip, particularly with communication and some logistical issues around accommodations and reimbursements. That part of the process was stressful, and communication at times was more difficult than we would have liked. That said, I do want to acknowledge that Cody genuinely tried his best throughout the process, and once Danielle became involved, everything was handled professionally and thoroughly. Danielle ultimately sorted out the reimbursement issue, followed through on what was promised, and helped bring the situation to a fair resolution. We truly appreciated her stepping in and taking the time to resolve things properly. While the communication could have been smoother overall, we're grateful that Travel by Jen stood by their commitment in the end. The rest of our trip went very well, and Costa Rica was an amazing destination. Thank you to Cody and especially Danielle for ensuring the issue was resolved.

These agents don't know what they're talking about and sent us on a nine day trip to Costa Rica…read morewith five days of driving all day long! Our agent, Nick, told us that we needed to drive to see the country, but I explicitly said I didn't want to spend ALL DAY driving. This was the worst vacation we have ever had and it was exhausting trying to get anywhere. Traffic of course is terrible in Costa Rica, but the plan that was laid out for us was also just terrible. This guy didn't know what he was talking about when he booked us and when I tried to change things he was not helpful. I even asked about adding trip Insurance and he said it was too late because we had already booked the airfare. This trip was a disaster all the way around. When we got to Costa Rica we waited three hours for our rental car and ended- up getting nowhere calling Nick, so requested a supervisor at Travel By Jen..who was also unhelpful... first it was suggested that we run out into the street and flag down the rental van when we saw it... Lol! So much more ridiculousness and runaround ensued rather than Travel by Jen/Jet Set Vacations trying to help us! Then it was suggested by this 'supervisor Danielle, after finally getting the rental car and getting on our way, that we just stop and sleep somewhere for the night. I couldn't believe this because there were no motels or hotels along our route to stop at, nor did this 'supervisor' Danielle, offer to take care of our expenses incurred due to our delay at the airport for our car! Suffice it to say she was talking to us like she was our mother and making suggestions to placate my husband and I, but not doing anything to actively help our situation or improve the trip or pay for a motel/hotel, even if we could find one on our first night. We had to travel through mountains and along cliffs and on back roads to get to our first destination about 4 hours further, (after waiting three hours) which was already paid for. Supervisor Danielle was terrible and obviously just full of BS, because she certainly didn't understand what we were encountering, nor did she care. Travel agents are supposed to help you get the trip you want, and if you can't get it, not just book you anyway. This Nick guy we entrusted our travel plans with booked us on a ridiculous trip, driving mostly and seeing very little...we would not have approved of this without knowing the incredible distances we would have to drive; he either didn't know the actual time it would take (doubtful), or lied by omission and said "two hours or so", and I even hesitated at this; then he said we had to live with it because he had already booked everything! Unbelievable! Told us that driving was part of seeing Costa Rica. But I've talked to people who have been there and had a much nicer vacation and didn't drive all day long, got to explore and see the sites. Obviously if all you do is drive you're too exhausted to really see anything. We never even got to see the volcano because we were so exhausted from driving there was no time left. Also, If you want an all-inclusive vacay you don't go to Costa Rica either... it is a place to explore. However, seeing the country in nine days is pretty impossible; you need to divide it in half at least, and see parts within an hour or so drive and perhaps come back to this country. Not spend your entire trip driving all over the place through horrible back roads and into the night when you're wanting to relax. You need to get where you're going so that you can rest up and see the sites the next day. This was just so bad it's hard to explain it all here. We also encountered problems with water at one so-called 4 star resort. We stayed at three places total and they were all less than the stars stated, with actually one 3 star being the nicest, but it didn't have any amenities. We supposedly were staying at two 4 star resorts and one 3 star, but they were probably two and three stars. This vacation was so terrible I can't even express it. Never will use this travel agency again! The absolute worst I have ever had the misfortune of using. Probably best to keep reading all these reviews... there are quite a lot of bad ones and I'm sure the three star rating is going to drop pretty soon...they'll probably go out of business eventually; but beware because they could just change their name. I'll never book again with an agency without thoroughly reading reviews and talking to people about their experience. In reading the reviews here I noticed that the responses from Travel by Jen to the bad reviews sound very snotty and full of excuses from the agency itself. Don't let them fool you... They are masters at manipulating you into a trip and selling you on something that isn't of the value you pay for, whether you're booking a five star or a three star vacation it appears you don't get what you pay for here. This agency needs to look in the mirror and do an overhaul of their attitude and their services!

Had a great experience booking my last trip with Taylor! She was super sweet and very accommodating…read more(and we drove her nuts with our requests, so that's saying a lot!) I just wish she had made us aware that purchasing the insurance from the airline would not be the same coverage we could have expected from the insurance they offer. We simply followed the prompts to add the insurance when we were confirming our flights and apparently we shouldn't have. Luckily there were no issues so insurance wasn't a concern, but peace of mind is priceless :) Will likely be booking more vacations with them in the future.

From the first moment I spoke to Cara I knew I would book my trip with her at Liberty travel. If I could give this review 10 stars it still wouldn't be good enough. We traveled from NY to Dublin-Shannon Ireland to Scotland then back to NY . It was 12 days of unwrapping a new present daily. From start to finish our trip was organized perfectly, each hotel was better than the next one. which my husband and I was truly amazed being the first one was a 5 star. Never had I ever had a trip so expertly planned out, my entire itinerary was printed out with step by step instructions, everything went exactly as planned without one minor bump. From limo driver greeting us in Dublin to check ins to all reservations and prepaid events. This was the first time my husband and I traveled to Europe and Cara could not have done anything better for us. From the moment she picked up the phone it was as if I knew her forever, she took so much time to learn about us and what we wanted from this trip. I really believe we could have never planned this perfect trip on our own. We priced out doing it ourselves and it basically was the same amount but I didn't have to do any of the work. I just showed up at the airport and Cara planned our adventure. I would recommend this company for anyone , I knew I would enjoy myself going to Europe but I never expected to feel like royalty myself and that is just how we were greeted and catered too every place we went. Liberty travel is well known there and I am thrilled I got to have Cara as my Agent she is definitely a great asset to the Company. I am looking forward to my next trip and I will be booking it again with Cara at Liberty Travel.
