Recently, she had a performance in Mountain View, and I was blown away by how much she'd learned in such a short time! I highly recommend Mrs. Yaoyao - she's an incredibly patient and experienced teacher who genuinely cares about her students. This could be the foundation of her musical growth. Would definitely recommend Beyrressa Music School to others!

My 6-year-old, started off just wanting to "play" and definitely wasn't a fan of the word "practice." But Mrs. Yaoyao has this magic touch--she's shown him that a little hard work actually makes playing more fun. He's become so much more patient, and he's already rocked two recitals with the other kids! What's really cool is how she runs the group classes. She keeps them super engaging and fun for the kids, but they're actually learning the "real" stuff too, like solid technique and music theory, which I also refreshed my music knowledge every time. The school is also a total lifesaver for busy schedules. They have tons of afternoon and weekend slots, and if we ever can't make it, Mrs. Yaoyao is awesome enough to send over a recording so he doesn't miss a beat. They also have everything there--1-on-1 piano, drums, violin, you name it. If you're looking for a spot where your kid will actually want to learn in the North San Jose area, this is it!

We've been to places where the staff clearly has no regard for child development and/or are too overbearing wanting children to perform every exercise perfectly when it's recreational gymnastics. They understand toddlers are who they are and they let them be without adding undue pressure to parents. They also gently redirect children who are having a challenging time following along and do great modeling for English learners like my children. The staff here is thoughtful and has made sure to say their goodbyes to the kiddos when they are moving on from leading a class. My children have gained incredible confidence and gymnastics is the one activity they never wants to miss. This place is worth every penny!

A parent or guardian assists their little gymnast while the instructor guides class activities." The advertisement isn't quite up to par. The instructor does not actually guide each activity. The instructor gives an overall list of many activities and expects the parent to remember all of them and then guide their child individually through the tasks. It doesn't work well at all. You really feel like you're on your own with a whole floor of equipment in front of you that you don't know what to do with. I wouldn't call that guidance from an instructor. This pertains to the five and under. I don't know what it's like for older children. This occurred at race Street. I don't know the name of the instructor. I would assume all instructors are functioning within what they're taught to teach the children. I would assume that the instructors are all uniform in there way of teaching classes. If this is not the case then maybe it should be. I think that this gymnasium can do a lot better. When I took my children there 25 years ago it was a lot better The coaches actually gave guidance to the parents step by step along the way so that it worked well.

I was hesitant at first since I'd seen how disinterested my daughter was during her daily zoom meetings with her TK class for the last few months of the school year. I was surprised to see how engaged and excited she was during her first week at camp. She was able to do the camp without me being by her side, which is something I worried from my past experience on her zoom meetings. She occasionally asked for help finding her materials which took a couple mins out of my time. She enjoyed it so much we decided to sign her up for the second week, Explore Hawaii. For this camp she did need help yesterday, building her volcano, and today, making the volcano explode. The teacher emailed us before hand to let us know they would need our help for about 15-20 mins with the time. It was fun to see her reaction during the explosion of the volcano. We all enjoyed it. I highly recommend Camp Captivate. The teachers are super engaging, lots of arts and crafts to keep them busy and the content is age appropriate. I am amazed that my 5 year old is able to do this virtual camp without me being at her side.

From the moment we walked in, it was clear how supportive, organized, and professional the staff and instructors are. The instructors do an incredible job of balancing discipline with encouragement, helping the kids build confidence while genuinely enjoying what they're doing. Watching my daughter perform, I could clearly see how much growth she's had--not just in technique, but in confidence and stage presence--and that credit absolutely goes to the training and care she receives here. The recital itself was well run, thoughtfully choreographed, and showcased each dancer in a way that made them feel proud of their hard work. As a parent, it means a lot to see a studio that truly invests in its students. I'm very grateful to the entire Dance Affair team for creating such a positive environment and for helping my daughter shine on stage. Highly recommend to any parent looking for quality dance instruction and a supportive community.

We returned to Dance Affair because it is the exact opposite! We get personalized feedback and recommendations on what next level classes would be. I get a feeling that the owners and teachers really care about my daughter's development. My daughter now wants to take more and more classes after being somewhat turned off dance at the other studio.
