As parents, we'd always been impressed with her creativity, but now the world was giving us feedback reinforcing that it wasn't just silly parental pride. What to do? Somehow we came upon the great answer of taking weekly Father-Daughter art classes at Hidden Talent. We've been doing it for 2 years and my daughter and I just love it! The teachers at Hidden Talent are all very caring, talented, friendly, and genuinely interested in teaching the students. We've explored a variety of mediums, techniques, and materials in our projects. We spent last fall working on the human form - something really great for a 5th grader to begin to learn. Too bad we can't post pictures in this Yelp post! If your child is showing that creative spark and you want to foster it, nurture it, and help them really grown that talent, this is a fantastic opportunity. If you sign up for the parent-child class you'll gain triple benefits: each of you will stretch your artistic legs and you'll get that special weekly bonding time you and your child will remember the rest of your lives.

The studio is clean and easy to get to from our house. I had a couple of issues with the party. First, this was a group of 5 year olds and the teacher chose an art project that was super challenging. My son loved it but I think it could have been a little better chosen for the age group. Secondly, I think that there should be some sort of paper trail after I booked the party. Everything is done verbally. I wanted to pay for the upgraded package or at least thought I told the manager this but when it came time for the party we did not get the upgraded package. It was a bit confusing. Overall, it was a good experience. I would recommend this kind of birthday party to others.

Signing up for art classes at Visionary Arts has been one of the best activities for my child…read more Online and in-person classes are offered which fits well for my daughter's and my busy schedules. In the past year and a half since my daughter started at Visionary Arts, her confidence and her art skills have blossomed. In just that short time, my daughter has been able to win a local Bay Area art contest as well as has been recognized as a young artist in the Junior Duck Stamp contest. It does help if your child is naturally interested in creativity and art, but my daughter has no shortage of that and as a result I feel that the art studio has taken my child's interests in art to new heights. We have gone on field trips with the art studio to the DeYoung museum and wildlife preserves. Both of which have been positive experiences that my daughter and I have enjoyed because Teacher Helen took time to guide the group. For my family, this has been an unexpectedly fun, positive, and educational journey in learning about art, conservation, and life skills. My daughter not only has been improving her drawing and painting skills, but she has been learning patience, perseverance, and time management skills through doing art. The art contest and art show display opportunities that Visionary Arts have the kids participate in are instrumental to this. Last year's Junior Duck Stamp contest was my daughter's first big art project that she completed from start to finish. Ever since, my daughter's confidence in being able to complete bigger projects has increased. The art studio does get busy at times when there's a deadline for submission to art contests but even during the busy times Teacher Helen manages single handedly all the kids and parents remarkably well. It is a small business after all and those are the kind that I like to support the most and feel I get the most out of. We've certainly gotten a lot out of our experience with Visionary Arts! Thank you, Visionary Arts!

First off, hats off for how easy they made the sign-up process, getting just the minimum information needed. Also liked that there wasn't special treatment for being new, the kids were plugged into the class as if they've been there all along. This helped more accurately assess if they wanted to keep coming back. The kids have been attending for a few months now, between the regular weekly classes + camps. The teachers are very patient and supportive. The kids walk out from their classes with high confidence and proud of their work, and they look forward to the next class, which speaks volumes. The staff is also very accommodating with their make-up policy trying their best to make it work for families. Improvement area: comms. While they send out comms every once in a while, it's usually general and not specific to each kid. There is usually very little time at the end of the class to get feedback from the teachers. I wish there was a bit more of a monthly/quarterly progress report.

As an artist myself, I think every little one deserves teachers like Marina and Inessa. The only reason we haven't signed our daughter up for regular classes is because the timings clash with her schedule. Otherwise, we'd sign her up in a heartbeat.
